I remember wishing for the luxury of a gas stove and clothes washer.... and now that we have them, we don't use them often. Food cooked over a fire tastes better and hand-washing clothes come out cleaner.
Joy, girl? Keep it all raw, as authentic and genuine as they are meant to be, from the way you speak, your accent to the way you go about and around your very own life, the one that was given to you to live as you please.
I believe there are tones of us here who were thankfully blessed to be taught how to wash our clothes by hand, how to lit a fire to cook over the stones, how to sew our own clothes when a button drops and or a stitch undo itself, how to be humble, realistic and down to earth. We collectively thank all the good being from above for such gifts and graces 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💛✨⚡️💫

I also grew up in the countryside.
That's how my mother did the laundry.
We had cows, sheep, pigs, chickens. We had plenty of fruits and vegetables. I liked to drink milk that had just been milked. Dear God, how I miss it all. I often dream at night that I am cultivating the land, picking fruit... You are the pearl of your land.
I would like all girls and women to be like you and men to appreciate and respect it. In my country, it is customary to say that such a girl is a blessing to the house you come to.❤🌹Sorry if my English is bad. I hope you understood.

I really enjoyed the morning vlog! I made a new fire pit last summer. You have inspired me to cook my dinner over it instead of just looking at the beauty of the fire. When I lived in a more rural area, I used to cook outdoors like this. In my new place that is more suburban, I can still do traditional cooking. Thanks for this reminder!

I used to have this feeling too . Even while in the village . And I think it was because of modeling . For the past 4 years I lived waiting for the next fashion season and then the next fashion season . And I failed to focus on the in between . I then slowly had to adjust and live for more for everyday for the details in each day … not just the pay check not just to pay bills not just to get a promotion but to live for today and hope for the best tomorrow . To envision a future that is far ahead with no end not just the new year . This helped me breathe and stop the emotional rush . Hahha if even what I am saying makes sense . 🫶🏿

I am truly grateful to you for sharing so much of your life with all of us. I live in Canada, on a multigenerational family farm about 20km from a small town in the Northwest area of Alberta, approximately 180 km from the border of one of the largest National parks in my province. My husband still works for a company in the nearby town but I retired several years ago due to health problems.
We grow most of our own food, without using any chemicals or pesticides on our food crops & the food our animals eat, which is what has really helped me to regain much of my health.
I believe living in harmony with nature as you do in your country and we do in ours to be a very good thing.

I used to never be. Interested in this type of lifestyle and used to question other people who live like this in the nature.... Wrong was I!? My husband been telling me about living/building in the nature but I was never into it. Idk something just clicked in me, all of the sudden I started watching these type of videos. I just found your channel and I love the insights you give us into your daily life in Uganda and i love you having cheeky fun with western misconceptions. I like seeing how the traditional ways can still be the best and most harmonious ways of doing things in uganda. It is easy for us westerners to think that traditional ways are less advanced, which is where we so often go wrong and why we can not live sustainably or healthily. I also love how much living you do outside.
