Uganda is the pearl.of Africa with extremely rich soils that enable our thriving agricultural economy ... No lie you can throw tomato or papaya sides on the side of the road and it can grow and blossom without even being planted thats how fertile the soils are in Uganda ❤❤❤❤
The world should reevaluate their means of assessing poverty 😅. With the poverty line being at 2USD per person per day... it's not the case in Uganda.... with 2USD a whole family can feed ❤. I love Uganda.
Exactly , even in villages the food they eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner if u are to convert it into monetary terms in Europe it's more than 50$.
Yet they eat it everyday without spending a cent.
@@segustus absolutely
I can get 1/2 watermelon only for that cash😢
Purchasing power parity. Always look at ppp economy not gdp
@@rheabasappa6439 that's so true. Cse at the end of the day the amount of money they earn as wages is next to nothing
$4.10 gets you your skincare, gym membership, and your daily bread. This kind of food is what makes us alive 😮
As someone that absolutely LOVES veggies and fruits this is such a dream! I can barely get a cucumber in sweden for 2 dollars, each... 😑
I'm in Canada and a watermelon the size you got costs $8.99 Canadian which is $6.64 US today. I only had one this summer. I smiled when I ate it but I cried when I paid it 🤣🤣🤣
Wonderful....but one thing which I want to share is carry your own cotton bag or whatever, for buying things instead of using one time use plastic bags and creating environment hazard.
True & the plastics also can't handle so much weight especially for fruits & vegetables
I can smell the fresh organic fruits & vegetables 😍
Thank you for bringing such positivity! Your videos always brighten my day and I love learning about Uganda. I hope to visit one day.
In England you can’t get a Large coffee from Starbucks for this 😮
Wow that was an awesome haul. Considering that the food is organic $4 in the US would have probably gotten you the cabbage by itself maybe one or two tomatoes that's it cuz it's organic is going to cost you a hell of a lot energy depends on how much a pound for the cabbage so $4 would have probably just paid for the cabbage and maybe one tomato and one onion not the whole onion and the whole tomatoes soursop by itself the last time I checked which was a couple months ago was $20 a pound so you did good I can't wait to get to Africa to plant my own "grow what you eat and eat what you grow"!
that's because organic in the West is certified and there are many regulations and expenses for a certified organic producer, also you cannot compare cabbage or temperate vegetables with tropical fruits
Hi everyone. What a beautiful country and a fascinating continent. I am adding lovely countries to one day explore in Africa when I can afford. Beautiful countries and beautiful peoplr. I live in Chicago, Illinois, USA and garbage id on the streets here too. There are people like that everywhere. Some of us are aware we need to protect planet and some of ud don't seem to care or understand that Mother Earth is angry! Love your youtube. I am being educated. I love to learn. Thank you.❤
Come dear❤
A leechie in america is like 2 dollars! Ill spend 20 bucks at the fruit stand where i live and only get like a half bag maybe.
Question: Is the produce cheap for the locals too (relative to their salary) or does it only seem cheap to foreigners because we compare them with our own prices?
It’s not cheap for locals
@nonhlanhlambatha6420 it's not cheap but it's very affordable for locals, i am a Ugandan, and almost everyone can eat well without having to spend so much, plus a lot of people grow their own food.
Locals produce them
It obviously seems cheap to foreigners because of exchange rates
Most of the ugandans earn very little salaries or wages. What pains the prices of goods have increased due to many problems. In short life is so difficult to most of ugandans few enjoy
The small green ones are called Limes in English.
What a beautiful plate of fresh food!
Thanks for the tour of the Market. it reminds me of the one in Kingston Jamaica, when I lived there years ago. ❤
You are wrong, these are fully ripe oranges, the reason they are fully green and not orange, is because they are grown in a tropical climate where temperatures never go below 12 C° and therefore most citrus will never turn orange even when fully ripe.
Annuh lime dem deh fren. It's a different species of oranges.
Thank you for doing all these videos, it's really interesting to see how do people lives in other country, and often African countries are represented really badly...
I'm also really interested in seeing how nature differs from place to place, I'd love to see an in dept video about what are your local vegetables, fruit and also wildlife!
Where I live there are some animals that damages our farms like: wild boar, roe deer, badger and so on... Do you have similar problems in Uganda? Do you have unpleasant (or maybe pleasant) encounter with random wild animals?
I'd really like to see a video about it, it's amazing to see all the wonders that exists in our world..
Thank you again for sharing all of this with us, it's always relaxing to watch your videos!
Hope you have a nice day
Hello from Hamburg (Germany)✨❤️✨Thank you for sharing )) ) - How are green Oranges tasting? Are they sour or sweet ? …and…- is it a specific sort or are they ripening fast and changing their color to Orange sooner or later? - The Green Little fruits are called “Lemonen” on German and Oranges are called “Orangen’ (or too “Apfelsinen”). - Do you like to share in a video as well where you teach us how to prepare the fruit at the beginning (sorry I did not understand the name)? - in what context is it eaten? Is it possibly used like a flavour? Could you describe the smell of it ?
It's very sweet i ate orange from Saudi Arabia it's very test less and yes when you open inside they are ready but the good ones when they have turned orange. It will but in two ,three days but still as they they are sweet am from Uganda too
The green oranges can also be sweet or sour... but usually are on the sweeter side. In Uganda we eat fruit as a snack or desert.

You got way too many polythene bags🙌
Uganda is One of the most affordable countries in Africa
Some Subscribers as well
Thanks for the video 😊
I like your vibe. There are a lot of misconceptions about my home country too. Old documentaries and people’s ignorance have led to many rude comments and questions throughout my lifetime so far. Some questions from those who are genuinely curious and have a kind approach and others from those that speak from a place of discontent and ignorance with no intent of wanting to actually learn but instead want to make themselves feel better by mouthing off to those they consider “beneath them”. This earth is vast and abundant, all different ways of living. There is beauty everywhere if you choose to open we eyes and actually look rather than believing that we know everything there is to know already. Africa and the way of living seems beautiful. Someday, maybe I’ll be lucky enough to visit and enjoy the scenery, people, culture and food!
These green peppers look so delicious ! Lovely video !
Mangada is called tangerine in english!! I am a new follower from bugolobi! Kudos to you!
And is mandarine🤔🤔😕
Awesome purchase ❤
You bring me Joy!
Superb content of great value, Joy 🤩👌🏽 Thank you so much!
Love how you share in your videos. You are inspiring me to create more videos like yours. More authentic and relatable. Thank you for sharing. Blessings!
Mangada - tangerines
In Germany we would pay up to 30€ for all of that deliciousness, and it will probably taste miles worse than the fresh variance from the market
depends what you buy, if it's grown locally and if it's in season, also quality standards in europe are very strict
@@dominic6055 Not true. Berries are from all around the world and include dangerous dosage of pesticides, because the German government would have us rather eat that than genetically modified produce. Plus, if you get seasonal berries - they taste way worse and are absolutely overpriced for their mediocre quality.
Yes, that is why local food is super expensive here! It's was just cheaper to produce fruits and vegetables abroad, but over the last years, people began to value the more climate-friendly, and healthy options, which led to a raise in the prices for the local food. + Inflation and classical, always beloved capitalism. 🤗
Thanks
Thank you for sharing.
Here in Florida the tomatoes alone are for the $4.10
Africa is Paradise on earth 🌎 Civilisation started in Africa 🌍 👏 👍 👌 😍 ❤❤❤❤Exactly Fresh Organic food 👌
Your videos are great. God bless you
I want to see the world returning to cloth shopping bags and saving our landfills from plastics.
They are making plastic bricks in Kenya. How do they recycle in Kampala?
you can really see how you are improving at making videos. Its fun!
That was so much fun 😊
First one here
No i was
So good..
God how I love this woman
I love your videos and your cheerful demeanor always brightens my day. I would love to visit you in Uganda!
Lovely food. I would love to visit beautiful Uganda 🇺🇬
🖤💛❤️
Love the shots you get, great camera work to the camera man or woman 😁 and thank you for sharing this, it's crazy to see the beautiful produce you can get for so much less than what it would cost here! 🙏
It’s watermelon season here in Louisiana and that melon alone would be $4 or more!
Got a watermelon sitting in the kitchen that I need to slice up. It’s my 9 year old’s favorite fruit.
That small green citrus looks like a lime? Is it green and tart on the inside?
That’s amazing
Thank you Uganda mommy❤
Very impressive. You definitely have me thinking Uganda is well worth considering. Grace & Peace ~R
I enjoy watching your videos
The fruit you couldn't name in english we call it lime
Some of the most interesting videos on RUclips.
Bags that full but actually less full than yours costs over 100$ in Florida USA. I think I’m in awe of your country in Africa😍
Uganda has the best food. I saw the biggest pineapple in my life in uganda
Hi 👋 I love love love your content
All that delicious produce for 4 dollars is awesome! The melon alone here would cost that much.
What a beautiful place thanks for the share
LOVE FROM THE PHILIPPINES❤❤❤❤YOU ARE A SUPERMODEL VERY GORGEOUS!
Amazing but I see when I travel to Africa to bring my own bags I try to limit my use of plastics. ❤
I love your videos and background music
Thank you! ⭐🌹😘💕⭐ I wish I could get produce for those prices in the US.
Vlog letsgoo
awesome haul. I wish I had visited Uganda when I was young and travelling all over. It looks gorgeous!!! I worry about all the plastic though that all that lovely organic food was wrapped in. It will spoil your beautiful land.
In Kumasi Ghana that one melon will take the whole money or almost all of it.
I definitely want to come visit you, thank you
Wow that is amazing! That is a whole feast! It is interesting how much you can get with so little where you are compared to how much you can get here in the United States. Also whoever this woman is she is gorgeous
Here in America you can't even get any of the produce or vegetables for that price.
In Nigeria....$4 is equivalent to 3200 naira
Thank you for sharing your market haul, I took one green orange, just want to try it 😁
Btw, I do love the smell of money 😁
Take care and see you on your next video 👋😀💖
This makes me want to move to UG no lie, so affordable ❤na in Africa too
I would love to come visit with you and your community ☺️ Eat fresh organic foods ❤
I really enjoyed your video! Where I live in the USA you're lucky to just get a Watermelon for that $4.09! And it probably won't be organic at that price. Fresh organic produce is so delicious! It's a shame that a lot of the produce in the grocery stores here have been stored for a long time and they pick them before they are ripe to do that so they don't taste as good.
The orange like fruits are called Tangerines.
more uganda vlogs plzz
I love your videos. You are a great girl. I'm subscribing. Greetings from Barcelona. 😊
I am a vendor in a San Francisco Farmer's Markets...Beautiful produce. Ridiculously expensive here . Organic should be the norm, not the exception
Next time carry a basket those were too many plastic bags.. Love from your neighbor in Kenya
Ya'll just love to be negative about anything. She didn't do anything wrong and there's hundreds of plastic bags in Kenya, so stop the nonsense.
@@justgoddessesonly she talks about Uganda compared to the rest of the world, so nothing bad in pointing this out, it's not insulting
Negative Nellys always lurking around
@@justgoddessesonly What nonsense are you talking about? did I insult her in any way?
@@ruthwangechi1384 You're an
@$$&o!e. You're being negative right now. The video was great, she had a positive attitude, but you had to delusionally point out an error that does not exist. You don't need to tell a grown @$$ woman to carry a basket, and plastic bags are everywhere. I'm sure in your home right now as we speak so don't front. So her using bags in ONE video like it's a problem is unnecessary. Worry about the mineral mined and used in cell phones and computers we're all currently typing on. Thts what makes you an @$$&o!@...to point out bags and ironically point it out from a resource you are using that is just as environmentally caustic.
I like your videos
i want to come and visit you in uganda indeed
When I was living in Uganda in 2005, a guy came by selling avocados. I don't remember the exact price but it was probably under a penny per avocado in US dollars. My uncle who was visiting from the US at the time was shocked. I think he ended up paying the guy a lot more because it was practically free.
You couldn't even get the watermelon alone for $4 in Sweden! Amazing.
I just subscribed to your channel
Lovely video, just avoid too many bags.
Wow! That’s a haul. No way can you get that much in USA!😊❤❤❤
In the US maybe I could get a single watermelon or pound of tomatoes for that price. I love your videos ❤
I think I need to move to Uganda 😮 all that in London is 25 pounds.
Omg nice girl
Maangada is Tangerine
He cut the sharps off her pineapple. Why don't all markets do that?
Passion fruit in MO is 2 for 4$
This woman is BEAUTIFUL!! But i saw her beautiful spirit first then her physical beauty that it shines through while shopping. Thanks for sharing v interesting not had the opportunity to go to Uganda yet! But cant wait. Here in new zealand we would get just that watermelon or bread and milk for the week for my family of 4. Id spend it on lunch just for me most days and think it fair. So.. how can i say hi when im in uganda?
Oh nice ... atleast you can get milk.. here in canada, we can't even get milk in this amount... grocery.. it's crazy in here..
Wish we heard you talk to the sellers.
Good God I need mis home!
👏🏾😍😍
I like your good work one day if I visit Uganda I will look for you we do some videos together 😊
She would be a beautiful model.
In Michigan where we grow a lot of those fruits and vegetables that would be over $100.00 worth of food. The watermelon would cost.over $4.00 alone.
🙌❤
Limes
Mangada in English is Clements
Hmmmm. ….Ppl that send money to African channels can make a difference to what seems small to us Americans ❕❕💡
Hi 👋 Aketch Joy. Can I use a tray yours to winnower grains?
Thank you for sharing this wonderful video information 😊 😀 ❤️
Mangada is tangerine
Hey! ❤the video. That small fruit you asked about? Looks what I'd call a "lime"
I think those are tangerines
It's a tangerine and in Luganda Mangada
@@nabiwembasarah7615 um...the 🍊 seemed green like not quite ripe. So, when saw the tangerines? I assumed "limes". 🍅looked ripe
@@DiOnlyweh This is a tropical country most citrus stay green when fully ripe
@@FruitingPlanet I know Uganda is a tropical Country. Didn't know most citrus stay green when fully ripe. Thanks
