I'm a mzungu. I never get those sort of prices when I visit Arusha. But it doesn't stop me from loving Arusha. I visit there every year to see my Arushan friends. I want to marry a Tanzanian lady one day and live in Arusha with her forever :) Amani
I always try out markets in other cities too, fresh produce and food generally tells you alot about the city's culture. Great vlog, I'll make sure i visit this market when i visit Arusha hopefully soon, now that i know some words.😅❣
Kilombero Market reminds my childhood.I attended a nursery school near the market. Then there were only two markets i.e Soko la Mjini and Kilombero which was an open air market.

I love big markets. There I find the foods I love eating - ground produce, vegetables, fruits! That's where the life is. Also, the cost of food is really appealing as compared to the west. Asante sana! Practicing my Kiswahili! Kwa heri!

Wonderful market. The vege called Ngogwe (I think the mviringo variety) is bitter and should not be eaten at the same time with chicken. Thats what people in Uganda observe.
Nice clip. Would have been nice to know the prices of all fruits ... noticed there were water melons and pineapples there and also how much you spent at the end (added up) on all your purchases.
women maintaining the patriarchy - ridiculing someone for wearing a knee-length dress. that's ridiculous. couldn't live in that situation. those old women should mind their own business.
