+Tuze Disliking the WHOLE video for there not being one point is pretty petty. I've had my Switch since June and I've never scratched it. No screen protector.
Same here, my parents told me im getting a switch with some accesories for it, such as a docksock, playstand, screen protector, and 5 games (Mario Odyssey, Breath Of The Wild, Splatoon 2, Arms, and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom battle). Just need to get a pro controller early in 2018 then im set! I CAN WAIT FOR XMAS, ONLY 1 WEEK AND 1 DAY TO GO!!!!
When I got my switch, I bought the Orzly essentials kit and I highly recommend it. It came with a case, 2 tempered glass screen protectors, a handheld grip, a stylus pen, some earphones and a small cartridge case. It's about $40/£30 and totally worth it.
I've never seen someone against a screen protector. Having a screen protector definitely doesn't hurt, and believe me I have plastic lenses in my glasses and they scratch like a mf. Enjoy your scratched up Switch screen dude.
It's hard as fuck to put on a screen protector I suck at installing one on my devices and I don't want to pay some schmuck to put it on some people can't put them on
I think you're insane for not having a durable case or a tempered glass screen protector for a $300 device. The screen is plastic, meaning it can scratch easily. A tempered glass screen protector will not only prevent scratching from having it out in the world but also prevent that rare dock scratching issue those dock covers were designed for. A durable case will prevent those Joycon that you claim we can just buy more of from breaking. Not everyone has $80 lying around to just buy another set. You don't have to walk into a dangerous environment to damage your Switch. Accidents happen. It's better to spend a couple extra bucks to protect your Switch than to not do so and end up having to spend large amounts of money you don't have to buy replacements.
Screen Protector is a must for me and anyone who travels with their Switch. I've heard rumors that a Dock Sleeve could potentially overheat the Switch, but I haven't looked into it enough to make a valid statement. I just wanted to see if you heard anything about that at all? Thanks man, I love your videos!
Darkninja 900000 but i do put it in carefully and when i pull it out i make the dock touch the backside of my switch not the front side so thats why and the back is hard so it doesnt get scratches
Ok the pro controller is really great but I could never disagree more with people who say that it is a necessity. The joy con grip has always worked fine for me and I have fat fingers. It’s isn’t essential. The pro controller is great but if you don’t have the money or don’t really care then don’t get it. If you plan on getting a second controller do get the pro controller not another set of joycons though.
Ethan Hudson pro is definitely better but joy con does its job. The main reason why I would use it over the pro controller is that you can play more people
Musica NEED MORE PROOF??? THE SCREEN IS LITERALLY JUST PLASTIC. TAKE ANYTHING PLASTIC AND TRY TO SCRATCH IT. a tempered glass screen protector is best. plastic WILL be scratched easier than keys. it's so easy to scratch
NukeThaG Yeah. You’re not even halfway there when you've bought the Switch. For me, anyway, the final price will probably be over 800 dollars in total... once I’ve bought everything.
My boyfriend bought me my switch for my birthday here in canada, and just the switch and a game came to about 500 dollars. He ended up spending 600 all together because he bought me wireless headphones as well. But yes, the money does add up when buying a console like that. The great thing is though that it can all be bought later when you decide you need it. I have my switch and the stuff it came with in box, and a game. I'm not going to get an SD card until more games that I want start coming out. As for a case, I've been looking but haven't found one yet, and I'm not really sure if i want to take it with me outside anyways. It just screams "steal me" to me, and I'm pretty protective over stuff that is worth a lot of money. Everything else just depends on your personal stuff. Controllers aren't needed if you're like me and only play it in portable mode. A case isn't needed if you don't plan to take it out. extra cables aren't needed unless you have pets who like to chew on them, or you think they'll get damaged in some way. It really just depends on you and what you plan to do with your switch.
For anyone getting a switch, get a screen protector! You can get them for pretty cheap. While the plastic screen may not shatter, it can scratch, and a few extra bucks is totally worth saving the screen from scratching on a $300 console.
About two weeks ago I picked up a Switch dock from Best Buy for about 35 dollars. It's made by Insignia and is surprisingly good. It's got soft touch plastic and has a lip to hold the Switch in place. I'm surprised I haven't heard anyone mention it.
I picked it up as well and it works great. Considering it comes with HDMI cable and power adapter (unlike some other options I was looking at) it seems like a great deal.
@Aramaru 1837 the screen protector is for it not to scratch so easily, since it's plastic. With a glass screen protector it won't scratch when it's on the dock
I bought my switch a few days ago, and then yesterday I bought a 256GB SD, Split Pad Pro, & the Pro Controller, and a couple games / DLC, switch so far has set me back about 600$ total
Screen protector+Pro controller+a good monitor + a good speaker + the casing + the damn switch console of course + breath of the wild +diablo+doom = done
Sd card isn’t necessary unless you download all of your games. I for example buy physically all of my games that arent exclusively downloadable, and the internal storage is plenty enough for me.
The Jerkinator had my switch for 3 months without one. dont know if thats long enough for scratches to develop but i'd just say take better care of your devices lol. it certainly doesnt hurt but it isn't mandatory
Abigail Newman yes he is. To be honest I am not quite sure he really realises how lucky he is? 🙈 My wife and I try to buy him as much as we can, to make him happy, come Birthday’s and Christmas, but I don’t think it’s a good thing tbh....but yet we still do it.
If you’re like me and like to keep your electronics protected then a tempered glass screen protector is necessary. I put one on the day I got mine and haven’t had to replace it. Also a nice cover for it from amazon to make it easier to handle in portable mode is a good idea.
I bought a LAN adapter and you know... its not about speed but about stable connection. The WiFi in Switch is EXTREMELY poor. I have 1gigabit/sec at home and 300 mb/sec Wifi, but the maximum speed I got on Switch is 50mb/s during test but the downloading speed is still "jumping"...., so I use LAN adapter during downloading heavy digital games and it really saves A LOT of time.
I actually LOVE the Joycon grip! But then again, I have tiny, tiny, child-sized hands as a grown woman, LMAO, so I love that it's so tiny and light! My hands go numb after an hour playing the Switch handheld, so on the occasion I play on TV, the grip is a lifesaver! lol.
Top 2 things I recommend: 1. carrying case (like he mentioned) 2. SCREEN PROTECTOR! Trust me on this it will save your life! I got a 3 pack of tempered glass ones on amazon for $8. It's totally worth it.
>"It's why don have or even recomend a screen protector" >"It's known to hurt itself [...] and can scratch the screen" So it's "resistant" to falls (by sacrificing one or both joy cons) but it hurts itself in it's confusion? Honestly I'm buying both a dock cover AND the screen protector!
I got my case at 5 below. It's amazing! It has straps that hold the switch and 2 different pockets, one for the wire and the other for the games. Also it's durable too, I accidentally dropped it down a couple of flights of stairs (I was leaning over the edge at the mall while holding it.) And it only left a scratch! The only bad thing about it is that it holds onto fingerprints a bunch. I also got my joycon covers. They are soft and look really cool with the red and blue joycons and have little asses to hold onto and makes it really comfortable to play. All of this for 8 bucks is a pretty sweet deal
This is what we need - folders -wider screen -themes -internet browser - Netflix - no joycon drift - good eshop - and a great online services - more features. - powerful enough to run next gen games - good graphics
Folders: Yeah we do need them. Wider Screen: Isn’t 6.2 Inches Enough? Themes: Aren’t necessary but would be cool to have. Internet Browser: Why not use your laptop, Tablet or phone? Netflix: Just use your laptop, Tv, Tablet/Ipad or phone No Joycon Drift: Yeah that makes sense but I never found it to be a big problem. Good e shop: the Eshop is already good and a great online services: yeah they are still using p2p servers, even in 2022. more features: I don’t really know what you mean by “features” but more settings would be amazing. powerful enough to run next gen games: It already can run next gen games? good graphics: Bruh have you seen basically any 3D game on the Switch?
Hey! Greetings from Russian subscribers))) I am such a big Switch fan, that I bough tones of accessories from all over the world. Actually, there are cheaper dock station solutions. You can buy for $25 on Aliexpress HDMI adapter and charger that have enough power. I placed original dock in every room where I have TV, but for travels or when I visit friends with Switch, I take HDMI adapter, what is much more ergonomic and save plenty of space. At my opinion, the best solution for portable gaming and not to be out of battery is SwitchCharger that you can order on indiegogo. I still didn't get mine but its already "in a process". Right now, during very long flight, I use original stand +power bank +cable, what is good but absolutely not comfortable.

1 Minute in: Don't get a screen protector cause its strong enough without one! 1 minute later: get a dock cover because it might scratch your screen! Sooo Don't protect the device from heaven knows what might be out there, but protect it with the same exact concept against itself...
I have switch since day one and i don't have pro controller the reason why i will tell you I play it on TV and my hands are in any comfortable position i don't need my hands in front of me
I have a question. Does the Joycon still works perfectly well? Because I always use the PRO controller because I see the joycon bottoms so delicate that I don’t use them for competitive gameplay for the reason that I think I might damage it or something.
Going all digital from the start is definitely the way to go on the switch! Especially if you travel. I only bought one cartridge to keep in there and the rest is on micro SD.

+Tuze Disliking the WHOLE video for there not being one point is pretty petty. I've had my Switch since June and I've never scratched it. No screen protector.
Tuze get a dock cover then.

"I can't recommend a screen protector" lol don't listen to him, plastic screens scratch easily. So get one, ideally glass.

When I got my switch, I bought the Orzly essentials kit and I highly recommend it. It came with a case, 2 tempered glass screen protectors, a handheld grip, a stylus pen, some earphones and a small cartridge case. It's about $40/£30 and totally worth it.
It honestly looks really convincing, might get it for my little brother's birthday :)
I've never seen someone against a screen protector. Having a screen protector definitely doesn't hurt, and believe me I have plastic lenses in my glasses and they scratch like a mf. Enjoy your scratched up Switch screen dude.
Hannah Moon really doesn’t bother me I’m not OCD
@@raydiaz2772 Obviously you don't wear glasses.. Because it bothers the hell out of me when my glasses get scratched up after so many years.
I have a brand new Nintendo Switch console for a very low price. Go here to get it: HootSwitch.xyz
It's hard as fuck to put on a screen protector I suck at installing one on my devices and I don't want to pay some schmuck to put it on some people can't put them on
@@YourHuckleberry99 Took me 2 tries as well and a friend of mine 3

Velasoraptor nah i have switch eith NO SCREENPROTECTRR for 5 months and every time i put in dock not even 1 scratch
RoshanGamer you're lucky. I've seen many switches with scratches all over the screen
Darkninja 900000 but i do put it in carefully and when i pull it out i make the dock touch the backside of my switch not the front side so thats why and the back is hard so it doesnt get scratches
I live in Canada so overheating is pretty unlikely for me most of the year and that's what I was thinking just cause I travel so much with it
Velasoraptor slide the cover off when you take the switch out of the dock then.
The main reason why I would use it over the pro controller is that you can play more people
"If your joy-cons break, just buy new joy-cons"
"The pro controller is a *whopping* 70 dollars"
Man where do you buy your joy-cons at
The screen is plastic.
Plastic scratches more easily than glass.
That's the MAIN reason you NEED a screen protector.
Id like to see proof of this
Musica put your Switch in your back pocket with some car and house keys.
That's enough proof there.
Musica if you've listened to 2:10 to 2:18, maybe you'd understand that the screen is scratchable. Plastic scratching plastic.
a glass screen protector is great because plastic can't scratch glass so the dock won't hurt the screen
So basically you need about 600 dollars altogether smh
NukeThaG jus get a game n the system fuk all the protection shit
Money adds up
NukeThaG Yeah.
It's worth it.
The joycon grip is actually great. You don't need a 70 bucks controller when your console comds with a nice adapter.
I bought of of those too. Not as reliable as the official Nintendo one but it works.
That’s good I could get one for a second tv.
Ripped off
I have watched this a million times when I hadn’t got a switch... well guess who’s back with a switch!!
Lucky you
Moinul Miah welcome to the sacred realm
Banangananga nangass oh yeah I got some joy con drift but I fixed it with some legendary WD-40

1:14 I would recommend to buy a screen protector, to prevent the screen from scratching because of the dock and more stuff.
Don't listen to him. GET. A. SCREEN. PROTECTOR.
Reyn the Insane YES
Yes that’s for sure!! Must needed
No u
@Aramaru 1837 Why would someone get a screen protector? Why don't you take a guess?
@Aramaru 1837 the screen protector is for it not to scratch so easily, since it's plastic. With a glass screen protector it won't scratch when it's on the dock
I bought my switch a few days ago, and then yesterday I bought a 256GB SD, Split Pad Pro, & the Pro Controller, and a couple games / DLC, switch so far has set me back about 600$ total
$25 for a dock cover!!! That’s insane. Just get a book sock from the dollar store.
Or get a screen protector for like $5
@@jackburns6403 EXACTLY

Screen protector+Pro controller+a good monitor + a good speaker + the casing + the damn switch console of course + breath of the wild +diablo+doom = done

Almost same as me lol
You forgot Smash Brothers
Easy answer: a Switch, a pro controller, a case, and *ZELDA!!!*
And also a screen protector btw.
And also a SD card.
Sd card isn’t necessary unless you download all of your games. I for example buy physically all of my games that arent exclusively downloadable, and the internal storage is plenty enough for me.
+Gilad I only have ONE phisical game. All the rest is digital.
That's a funny way of spelling *ODYSSEY*
I stopped watching after he said a screen protector isn't needed. Whatever anyone says YOU NEED A SCREEN PROTECTOR
Most of the time he uses his switch in Doct Mode he almost never uses it when he's on the go
I am sureeeeee you stopped watching after that. Good one.
Meh, havent had any problems without one so far
The Jerkinator had my switch for 3 months without one. dont know if thats long enough for scratches to develop but i'd just say take better care of your devices lol. it certainly doesnt hurt but it isn't mandatory
Sarah same, had mine for about 5-6 months now
Thank you! Helped me kit out my sons new Switch just in time for Christmas. SUBSCRIBED
Your son is lucky
Abigail Newman yes he is. To be honest I am not quite sure he really realises how lucky he is? 🙈
My wife and I try to buy him as much as we can, to make him happy, come Birthday’s and Christmas, but I don’t think it’s a good thing tbh....but yet we still do it.
If you’re like me and like to keep your electronics protected then a tempered glass screen protector is necessary. I put one on the day I got mine and haven’t had to replace it. Also a nice cover for it from amazon to make it easier to handle in portable mode is a good idea.
Josiah Carter how much was your screen protector?

*Logic : 100*
my dock doesn't seem to rub against my switch screen, maybe they widened the space in it a bit?
that honestly sounds fucked if somebody reads that one word wrong lmao 💀
Metaldude X but he recommended a dock protector
I will add that USB 2.0 is still faster than a 2.4ghz wifi connection.
I think that deserves an upgrade lol
I bought a LAN adapter and you know... its not about speed but about stable connection. The WiFi in Switch is EXTREMELY poor. I have 1gigabit/sec at home and 300 mb/sec Wifi, but the maximum speed I got on Switch is 50mb/s during test but the downloading speed is still "jumping"...., so I use LAN adapter during downloading heavy digital games and it really saves A LOT of time.
Yeah I use the LAN adapter I had on WiiU because the connection is at least more stable. That's very important in Splatoon.
I've used N and A/C, 2 floors up from my router, never had a Drop in any game. Lot of people use cheap routers, and it matters. :)
Yeah get a better router lol, no issues at all with my wifi
I actually LOVE the Joycon grip! But then again, I have tiny, tiny, child-sized hands as a grown woman, LMAO, so I love that it's so tiny and light! My hands go numb after an hour playing the Switch handheld, so on the occasion I play on TV, the grip is a lifesaver! lol.
what? a screen protector is almost a necessity. the plastic screen will scratch on almost anything.
Thank you for showing me the dock sleves. Ive just ordered myself a game of thrones one and i got it on sale for $6.
Top 2 things I recommend:
1. carrying case (like he mentioned)
2. SCREEN PROTECTOR! Trust me on this it will save your life! I got a 3 pack of tempered glass ones on amazon for $8. It's totally worth it.
>"It's why don have or even recomend a screen protector"
>"It's known to hurt itself [...] and can scratch the screen"
So it's "resistant" to falls (by sacrificing one or both joy cons) but it hurts itself in it's confusion? Honestly I'm buying both a dock cover AND the screen protector!
Kitsune's Den it’s a baby
I use the same case, it works amazing. Paid 15usd.
Also, got a screen protector because many scratches appeared because of the dock.

Wider Screen: Isn’t 6.2 Inches Enough?
Themes: Aren’t necessary but would be cool to have.
Internet Browser: Why not use your laptop, Tablet or phone?
Netflix: Just use your laptop, Tv, Tablet/Ipad or phone
No Joycon Drift: Yeah that makes sense but I never found it to be a big problem.
Good e shop: the Eshop is already good
and a great online services: yeah they are still using p2p servers, even in 2022.
more features: I don’t really know what you mean by “features” but more settings would be amazing.
powerful enough to run next gen games: It already can run next gen games?
good graphics: Bruh have you seen basically any 3D game on the Switch?
Eh we got 5 1/2 of these.
Hey! Greetings from Russian subscribers)))
I am such a big Switch fan, that I bough tones of accessories from all over the world.
I just started watching your content and I love the style. Honest and straight to the point. Not once did I get bored watching your last few videos. Wulff Den you are a breath of fresh air.

Sinisa Stojkovic what you just said is exactly what I would say.
my hands are small so joycons work really good for me
I have huge hands, I don’t *mind* the joycons, but got rocket league and improved comfort, the pro controller is a nice buy. Not a necessity imo
Me too bro, I have it since June and I dont feel like a need one(I'd still like one but in my country it cost about 130$)
I have a question. Does the Joycon still works perfectly well? Because I always use the PRO controller because I see the joycon bottoms so delicate that I don’t use them for competitive gameplay for the reason that I think I might damage it or something.
I’ve been doing my research for my switch for a week or so now and your videos are definitely my favorite 😇
