  • Issue:
When plugging in the battery to your FMS airplane, there are no tones (beeps) from the ESC and there is no throttle response.
    Solution:
    - Make sure the three ESC plugs are securely connected to the motor.
    - Set the throttle calibration.
    1. Set the throttle stick to highest (up) position.
    2. Plug the battery into the ESC.
    3. Wait for 2 beeps and immediately lower the throttle stick back down to the bottom.
    4. Wait for another 2 beeps. Then unplug the battery and turn off the radio.
    5. Power on the radio again and plug in the battery.
    6. The throttle stick should now be responding correctly.

I should have watch this before I spent four hours trying to get my Stukel working. It worked. Thank you. Apparently I was letting it go too long not adjusting the throttle after the first two beeps.

I had the exact same problem and this video fixed it so thank you. My question is why the hell wouldn't this information be mentioned anywhere in the damn manual or anywhere for that matter because this is the first I have heard of how to fix it. Seems pretty important to leave out of the aircraft manual.

Hey Pete, Good description of throttle programming. That is the easy part. lol Please do a video that explains how to program the brake on for the sail planes. Just got a sailplane and unable to cause the break to work. I have tried a hundred permutations of the (vague) instructions, nothing works. So per your instruction I am unable to fly because break is not working. Thanks!

    Hey Pete,
I just tried this procedure on the Skysurfer Pro. I have all channels working, but no throttle. When I turn on the transmitter and plug in the battery, all I get is a constant beep. I put the throttle in the highest position. I have a spectrum radio. Can you advise? Thanks

hey pete. I have just got into electric planes. 20 years of glo plug flying. we would set throttle trim so stick all the way back would not stop engine. then pulling trim all the way down would shut engine down. does this work with electric motors?

Can you put the FMS ESC manual online. If the prop runs backward what do you do to fix that programming wise?

Hi there :-) How do you program away the auto brake function. I have a 20 amp FMS DT20 that stops the motor very quick when I throttle all down. I have no manual for this ESC, so I hope you can help me out :-)Have a nice day

All esc's are programmed differently. You have to read the ESC manual for that specific ESC. Also, some ESC's can not be programmed.

SOMEONE!!! My problem is I programmed my ESC with the WRONG Throttle positions. How do I get the ESC back to safety mode? I've rebound the plane several times, but the throttle keeps just automatically syncing.

I just bought a 1700mm corsair. Had same problem so did the throttle calibration didn't work first couple of times but eventually did. The next morning i had no control to anything just lights on and the motor was bleeping with a 1 second pause followed by a beep. I am considering sending it back to my supplier. If you can help this would be great.

All Esc's are programmed differently. Have to read the manual for the ESC.

Yes and in the vid there was no reason to turn off the radio at all.
