Hi Elise, Cheers to the new year!Your salad looked yummy! I’ve made similar using hummus or tzatziki as a dressing. You can also change it up by adding pumpkin seeds, slivered toasted almonds, sunflower seeds, even blue cheese. Cauliflower is also a great alternative. All wonderful combinations.
Also my girlfriend has a wall that is all antique mirrors. Looks stunning! Can’t attach a pic to show you. I’m sure it’ll look great no matter what you decide.

Since I am an acupuncturist, I would suggest a few treatments----the jet plane approach to healing that area. Add massage with some Tiger Balm.
I love the rug under your dining table - beautiful. Yes I miss my tree but put furniture back and lit candles and brought in daffodils in a vase and soon you adapt to spring in your home.

Happy New Year. Your house is really coming together and I turned off the radiator in the room with my Noordman Fir and didn't think about ppl with underfloor heating. My tree was fresh after 5 weeks so I felt bad chopping it down to dispose of. Such beauty gone and it gave me enormous pleasure. Christmas is what you make it and I hate miserable ppl around me at that time of year. I went with the hopeful and happy. You wash down surfaces in your bedroom. I use cleansing house wipes and it is lovely to feel clean.

Rest is when the body is healing itself! Rest is rejuvenating the body and the body will tell you when it needs it. REST is more important than people realize & it can prevent serious illness, injury & you can avoid drugs & medication. Did you know most of the body organs and parts regrow! Thats why you rest so they can do that! Heart is not included
Exactly! I just told someone that the other day. And you may be amazed at the positive response in your body, even weight loss.
Completely agree 👍 I ensure I spend at least one weekend being lazy in a month to recharge my batteries. Just binge watch some series, order takeaways and apply some good facemask, paint 🎨, have a glass of wine and just lay in the bed. Being a mother of a 2 year old and with a full time job.. I cook every single day for my family which I love doing, cleaning and spending time with my little one so one weekend in a month I do this for myself which really helps me.

You have really turned your house into a lovely, comfortable home. I never make New Year's resolutions. I think it is important to always be open to opportunities and try to live your best life every day and be kind to others. Not every day turns out well, but we can learn from those times and appreciate the days that do. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
HINT dear Elise before you putting flowers in vase, cut fresh end to stem at an angle, it'll allow more water in also put a teaspoon of sugar in vase water to help them last. Do this every few days they can last ages! I do, just downsize vase & removed dying ones. Floristry tips from me to you with love xo

After you undecorate the tree, wrap it in an old sheet and clothes pin it closed. It saves immensely on the clean up of the pine needles. Pull the widest part out first, not the top of the tree. Hold onto the sheet until you are out the door. Give it a try next year. Happy New Year!

In the US I never heard of anyone not using tree without water. Also if you put an aspirin in the water will last twice as long. Hugs from NY
@@donnastevenson6700In Europe the trees all come with stands made from a tree trunk and all last a very long time. She has heated floors and so that would dry out the stand, otherwise they hold enough water for the tree to not drop

SOUP. Make a soup once a week. A hearty cabbage and mixed vegetable soup is my favorite, Pea soup with carrots and dill, Kale and white bean, butternut squash, sweet potato and leeks, vegetarian french onion are all so delicious and fortifying. (the trick with veggie onion soup is caramelizing the onions slowly first, using shallots with it, and a dash of ground coriander seeds.) Vitamin C is very helpful for tendon healing.

The collage of mirrors over the fire place would be beautiful, you could even mix in a couple, just a couple smaller pictures, like thrifted pics with nice frames in your choice of gold or copper or wood or whatever your mirrors will be framed with and collage the whole wall❤❤❤❤❤😊

So many lovely things to see in this video! The new home decor products are very beautiful. A thought about your healthy eating goals, have you thought about batch cooking your own freezer foods? Freezer pizza doesn't have to be unhealthy, if you make your own pizzas for the freezer, to have ready on those tiring days, they can be nutritious. I've done this with other convenience foods, and have found it really helpful. (Like homemade taquitos, falafel, etc.)

Perhaps where you live they don't sell Christmas tree bags, but in the US they do, and what a game changer! You get one before you set up the tree and put it between the tree and the stand. Then when you are done cleaning it off, just pull it up to the top and, it collects all the dead needles. It really saves time and effort of cleaning !

If you cut the tree with loppers where it stands and put in a good quality bin bag there is less mess than if you move it.
What a good idea to use your advent calendar for your ornaments. For the first time in 30 years I also got a fresh tree. Mine was freshly cut so is still lasting well. It was a joy to have but next year will put in front to see, mine is behind couch sitting area. I used all the old sentimental decorations on the tree.

This year I decided to give myself a makeover. It's what I do when I've had a rough time. I dyed my hair a soft, warm rose color and threw away all my old cosmetics and things. I'm really tired of having failed my resolutions (and other things), but one thing I could never fail was my dog. So this is where I'm starting:
In loving memory of my dog, I replaced that dire, old, past-expiration collection with things that have a bunny stamp on it.🐰Except maybe the hair bleach -- it's still vegan/cruelty free, just not planet friendly (don't think bleach ever is). There was only enough money left to buy one "new" dress but I made sure it was thrifted. And that it matched my new hair (90s blackish navy with pink flowers -- so cute!).
What does this have to do with the dog? Cooper was a (research) rescue beagle. I couldn't stop his suffering before he showed up, or the agony he went through that took him from me, *but* in his honor I can prevent myself from contributing to the world's cruelty. No animals need to go through a life of fear and pain so that I can stay moisturized. Every time I pick something up that may have been tested on animals all I can see now are his beautiful amber eyes. He saved my life every day, from the moment he found me.
This is just the first step in my journey -- I hope to take it all the way. To my house and transportation, daily habits, and beyond, as money allows. For the love of Dog.

Back in November, I was doing my usual thumbs Up, and noticed that I was not "subscribed" (via my TV). I immediately re-subscribed. The very next week, I was watching you on my TV, and noticed again that I was not "subscribed". So, re-subcribed. Fast forward to today, watching you on my TV, and yet again, was not subscribed. So, RE-subscribed!!
From now on, i am just going to be sure I am subscribed each time I do the thumbs Up. I just wanted you to be aware of this. Happy New Year Elise! 🎉❤ Just wanted to leave a quick note on shoes I have hip/feet problems and switched to Fitflop trainers/boots/sandals and the change to my feet have been something else. The first time I wore a pair of their sandals my Plantar issues finally stopped and I was out of pain for the first time in a long time. I now wear them exclusively as they are the only shoe I can wear that gives my hips reliable support. They are a bit pricey but one pair will last for years so in the long run not bad. Anyways, I hope your achilles issues are on the way to being solved this year. Sending many blessings and healing ❤️💖

I believe soda (Coke for example) is the absolute worst thing for us.
I think that is smoking and alcohol, but hard to compare 🥰 I don't think a coke now and then is what's going to make me turn from healthy to unhealthy.

BTW Crate & Barrel, Williams & Sonoma Home and Pottery Barn have some lovely duvet and pillow covers in colors that would go great with your wall paper. I know Crate & Barrel ships internationally not sure about Williams & Sonoma Home or Pottery Barn. Saw one or two at Ikea that might be nice as well.
