I dont know how you do it. When I saw that beautiful dress you had for 2 years, I just wouldn't have been able to give that one up. Maybe I can say and feel that way now because I'm 58. Old enough to have learned a few things. The most important is when you attain something you absolutely love, hold onto it. Keep it till you die. Ive let a couple family members convince that I shouldnt have or need a whole Pfaltzgraff set of dishes. I slowly collected it and got pieces from my loved ones as gifts. I finally had an outstanding beautiful collection. Then these 2 people convinced me I didnt need all of it. That I needed to downsize. That I should buy corelle dishes for its durabilty and that it didnt take up any space. So I gave my set to the landlords daughter and have regretted it every day since it's been gone. The dishes I have now bring me no joy..so Elise, it's ok tonhold onto something forever. I dont want you to have any regrets.

It’s ok to slow down. You’ve been doing the work of two or three people for quite some time now. No one can keep up with that indefinitely. You have to take care of yourself and not “beat yourself up” for slowing down some. You are human. An admirably driven young woman, but as you said, “just one person”. Hugs 🤗😊🤗

Oh Elise, as someone who has a tendency to overwork and under-sleep, I really feel for you. From your videos recently, you have what I call ‘too many tabs open’ (like when you open lots of documents and web links on a laptop and need to click a lot of exit Xs to shut down.) you have a lot of things going on: moving shop, skylight, other house jobs on top of your own deadlines for Bohemian Wonders. Who knows what else is running through your mind. Try to rest your head on the pillow and say ‘I’ve done what I can and earned this sleep.’ Also, take shutdown’ time. You might have more energy and work better with some balance. Take care of yourself. You produce great work. X

2 things for your citrus tree. 1) make sure its not near a heater and yes plenty of light. 2) Make sure you are not overwatering it. That will kill it. water once a week and not at the middle. If you can pick it up and check at the water hole at the bottom to see if its dry or wet. You need to get the water to the roots, but not too much.

Elise, You will have everything you desire in your future! Speak as if you already have it or say; "When I have my dream house." You have come so far at such a young age. Take time out for self-care. I don't know if you have a tub, but I used to have a jacuzzi tub in my bathroom in my last house and I miss it! I will have another one! I spent an hour or more at a time in that tub with a glass of wine and my favorite music with candles. We all deserve to pamper ourselves. Also, have you tried Valerian root for help with sleeping? When I have trouble falling asleep, I have a CD called Thundering Rainstorm. I love it when it rains and the sound of it puts me to sleep like a baby. All the best to you!

Elise, please take good care of you. Getting proper rest and nutrition are crucial for feeling good. Maybe Melatonin would help you rest. I take 5 mg about one hour before I want to go to sleep and it really does help. I've also been listening to a sound machine set on the rain sound and it's very relaxing. Sometimes I wind up a music box that was my Morhers. She used to bring it into my room when I was little to help me go to sleep and it still works 56 years later. The song it plays? Beethovens Fur Elise. (Umlaut over the u though. Lol) Be well. Get rest. Keeping you in my prayers.

Wow, Charlotte and her husband’s home was such a happy decorated home. So interesting. Elise, I wondered if your shop is open for people to come and purchase items. I think you used to have it open and then started to do things online. Would it be easier on yourself, if it was open, if not, even a few days a week. You have a lot of stock and a lot of clothing in your home. You were very lucky to have been invited to Charlotte’s home and I hope that she gave you some good business advice on how she runs her businesses. We just had a bad snow storm this weekend in Canada, so can’t even think about plants. You tree looks like Kumquats and many people I believe make jam with them, if I recall. Love to see things you cook, as I have mentioned before, you used to show us a lot of cooking recipes and all look great. All the best and hope you are doing something for Easter holidays. Maybe it’s good for you to just take a me day and relax and have some downtime. I find it energizes us.

The best part of the kumquat is the sweet skin but it's balanced by the sour juice inside. They're great sliced with frozen blueberries or sliced tossed in a salad. Pretty and tasty.

Your "yellow bush" is a forsythia plant. One of my favorite spring blooms. I just purchased one last weekend to plant in my yard.

That is a fair sized garden you have there Elise...it takes time and energy to keep up with all the work you have to do on it as well as your regular web shop work. I wonder could you get a little help maybe from family or friends...it would help ease the burden on you and would give you a chance to recharge the batteries...is all too much for one person, your health is everything!!♥️♥️♥️

Your yellow bush is forsythia and if you wanted to have another you just pick at a node and put in water and it should sprout roots. Gardens are so therapeutic anything to do with nature is but your own garden is something you can cultivate and make it your own and love and cherish it and watch the seasons bring you gifts. So exciting.

ELISE! You said for the year 2024, you were going to slow down with work. You have anxiety if you dont get everything done perfectly and run yourself ragged. Try this: Get an appointment book that has different times in it. Start making a schedule. Figure out the number of hours you want to work per day, which days you'll take off, and how many vacations and sickbtimebyou get.I found this was the only solution for me. And boy, does it work!

I think it is very human to overestimate what you can do within a certain amount of time. Spring also seems to have an effect on wanting to get so much done. I thought I saw you eating off of a vine wreathed plate, just before you were trying to nap. It reminded me of my grandmother’s Friendly Village dishes, which then reminded me of her saying “ a rest is almost as good as a nap”. As someone who has to constantly work within a limited energy threshold in order to heal, I have been exploring energy giving activities (in addition to sleep), such as meditation, drawing, listening to a favourite audiobook while doing a task, gardening might be one for you (and one day for me again), listening to bird song and watching squirrels play,…
It seems that the medical advice I am being given is that lowering emotional stress, allows for more energy to be used elsewhere, physically and cognitively. Feeling of “overwhelm” is a little insight bell for me to do something recharging - even for a short time. Take good care of yourself and thank you for another lovely video filled with beauty 🥰

Aww...Take some time to nurture yourself, Elise.❤
On the citrus tree; When moved from one environment to another, plants and little fruit trees have a shock period. I had this happen on a little fig tree I bought. It had a ton of figs growing on it and they ALL fell off!!😢
Also, when there is a large amount of ripe fruit on it, remove the ripe ones so they don't continue to take too much energy from the tree needed for the developing fruits.😊
    Love "Season of Lilacs"! Beautiful.🪻🍃🪺🪻🦋

@@EliseBuch maybe it’s just a little in shock. With your tender loving care I’m sure she will bounce back. Better to water it in the sink very well once a week and saturate it, than watering just a little often

Skip the collection next week. Take this serious. Right now you remind me of me before I crashed and couldn't work at all for a loooong time.
Do not wait anymore, rest now, take much more time off, slow down, do not wait until it's impossible to push yourself more.
Right now you still have a chance to recover but if you keep pushing on like this you will crash and might never come back to even what was your normal energy and you might have to take months off work.
You need to take a few weeks that is much calmer and also after that not over work yourself.
I know it's really hard to slow down when you normally just can push on and do it all but when you feel like you do now, cry, can't sleep, can't rest, stressed etc. etc. you need to treat it like you are sick and rest and take it easy for a few weeks even on days you feel fine. And you need to do it now.

If you use a pressure washer to clean your paths and paved areas it will make a huge difference. So does mulching all your flower beds with either hay, lucerne or wood chips.
