If that’s where I think it is, the deer got absolutely hammered this winter. Deep snow and really cold weather took its toll.
Yes, this area had a very tough winter. Sad deal, will be quite awhile before it recovers.

I would love to hunt mule deer this year but the winter kill dosent make my want to, the numbers are hurting for sure and they can get all the help they can.
The winter kill in certain areas was tragic.
@@AbandonOutdoors Oh yeah, I hunt in the south east of idaho and the reports were 250% snowfall over the average. And I've scouted plenty in the winter months and early spring and saw nothing but dead deer. And with a 80 percent fawn death rate we should be seeing the effects for years to come.

Thank you, love the vid. Good to see the Idaho public lands hunt. Like the way you get out there stalking and analysis. Nice team set up. I've taken some good bulls / bucks up in the Pioneers and Sawtooths. Great place to hear the wolves howl. Can I offer a suggestion. I know you are grown men so can you cut out some of the high school jock talk? F...art joking is just a bit weird at your age.
