@@danielarchuletta7073 That's because Yu-Gi-Oh! the anime, follows the Yu-Gi-Oh! Manga. In which they play a card game called Magic and Wizards, later changed to 'Duel Monsters' wit the introduction of the second series of Yu-Gi-Oh, which follows the Konami produced version of the card game. Originally the card game was produced by Bandai, but never came to America. In the manga, the card game had no Tribute Summons. In fact, the card game was gone to be a one off, but due to popularity it returned. The anime you are familiar with, is set after Yugi and Bakura's first duel(which is in a DnD style board game) Which is long after his duel with Kaiba. The first episode of the anime, is much later in the manga. The Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, is LOOSELY based off Duel Monsters. Borrowing rules, and cards that appeared. But functioning different, as the card game in the manga/show, was not made to be a real card game.
i to this day dont get pendulums to the point in tournaments if i see my opponet play a pendulum monster i have to frequently ask "how does this work, ok its effects do what?" etc
YO! I cannot tell you how stoked I am about this. Me and my son play classic yugioh together (he’s 8) and he always chooses a Lofi vid for us to listen to while we duel. It’s our “duel music”. Now we have lofi made FOR dueling. How cool! Thanks!

I was introduced to Yu-Gi-Oh only last year November by my best friend. To say that it has become a part of my daily life, even as somebody who is blind is an understatement. Everything from the card game, to the series, is fantastic. It’s a shame that I got introduced to it so late. The creator behind this amazing game, though gone, brought me a whole treasure trove of Brand New memories to make with my best friend. Meeting the voice actor for Kaiba this year in May was one of the best things to happen to me. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to experience my first duel.
Yugioh was a great deal of my childhood, and I will hold it close to my heart for the rest of my days. Thank you, Kazuki Takahashi. You've brought me something I genuinely enjoy and will keep living through me. Rest in peace. Also thanks for the lofi I really needed it. It's comforting and helps me a ton. I will hold onto it for a long time, too.
idk why, but the theme really gets to me. playing the card game ever since i was a kid, going to my first local card shop and playing with a warrior deck that i had. having so much fun play testing decks and just fooling around with weird ideas. this really made me reminisce the fact how many friends ive made playing this silly card game
I can't wait to see who the first yugituber to use this in the background of a video will be, you can just imagine having this faintly in the background of like a "top 5 meta decks" video or like a deck list video lol
Omg, this is awesome!! I'm currently working on a Yu-Gi-Oh fanfic and I sometimes listen to music to focus. This is prefect as it's all the songs of Yu-Gi-Oh just slower and more relaxing. Whoever created this, you are a genius!!!
When I was a young boy never would I have believed you if you told me that this would exist and I would be using it to help me study. What a time to be alive.
This still brings back memories of the time I got sent to the shadow realm when I was 11, I was stuck there for four years and there were no card games… :(
Hearing the 5Ds low fi remix makes me extremely nostalgic for 08 when i was in my senior year of high school. The whole world felt like it was in front of me. The time just flys bye
you will make it, the world hasn't passed you bye. Focus on what matters, improve yourself, the games will be waiting, when you return an improved person. I'll be waiting for you there, we will both improve and then we can reflect on life and have some duels =)
Great job on the mix! I really dig the bass part and its tone. And the way you remixed the motifs of the theme song is clever and tasteful. I wish the video was longer.
Every time I hear this song my first memory is going to my older brothers house on the weekends and just binge watching yu gi oh and playing yu gi oh for hours ❤
Imagine reading the card effects instead of just blindly playing and hoping for the best. In all seriousness though, it seems like knowing what the cards actually do is a big part of the skill of a duelist in the anime, explaining the effects doesn't seem to be mandatory.
I reminisce those days where I was just a kid playing card game, wishing my card would come to live and hangout with me as I believed in the heart of the cards.
Beats to duel to is SUCH A GOOD IDEA. Me and my best bro always wanna duel when we hang out and sometimes smoke too so we always have music on cuz otherwise you get those boring and silent moments where one of you is deciding what to do or searching/summoning stuff, but sometimes somgs are just too distracting or you only get ones that are loud or too quiet or depressing come on lol

Bless this lofi mix and rest in peace Takahashi. Your legacy will carry on in the hearts of duelist, manga fans, and anime fans for years to come
The main theme lends itself surprisingly well to lofi
Don't worry Yugi. No one understands those darn pendulum cards either
I mean certain ones I know rather well. The new ones I'll have to try them out tbh they look fun
i to this day dont get pendulums to the point in tournaments if i see my opponet play a pendulum monster i have to frequently ask "how does this work, ok its effects do what?" etc
@@flamingrubys11 in spell zone - read the green part
In monster zone - read orange. Ez
Basically it's crystal beast but good
To me Pends is a fun mechanic, and it's kind of underrated and gets too much hate.
@@randomprofile5853 I try but I can never get the right pends in my hand. Oh besides when I use a Yosenju deck. Man Yosenju is such a helmet archtype
YO! I cannot tell you how stoked I am about this. Me and my son play classic yugioh together (he’s 8) and he always chooses a Lofi vid for us to listen to while we duel. It’s our “duel music”. Now we have lofi made FOR dueling. How cool! Thanks!
Plus the kuribohs chillin on the shelf are adorable af
No amount of Monster Reincarnations will bring Kazuki back but i'm happy for what he's done for the many Generations to come.
Alas Monster Reborn would only work for one turn on gods anyway.
@@KayossSZ smooth Jason bro,smooth!
@@KayossSZnot wrong...
And Traps don't affect gods, so Call of the Haunted is out.
RIP Kazuki Takahashi.
We'll never forget the heart of the cards.
You made my childhood the greatest by far.
OMG ZEXAL, WHAT A MASTERPIECE
I KNOW RIGHT
I’d been hold off on building deck, because I rarely have enough time to do so, and also a lack of inspiration, but this has set a fire in my soul.
Listening to this makes me wanna compliment my opponent for having 10 negates on the field. Good vibes 🔥
*Laughs in PhantomK*
17:11 - This makes me cry, the nostalgy hits hard
19:29 - This is one of the best themes of the first series

RIP Kazuki Takahashi. You were the true king of games
Even lofi cannot contain hypeness within passionate duelist
This is what Yugi listens to while studying the new mechanics.
holy moly i get chills listening to fang of Critias
It's so good
This is great to play in the background while you're sleeving up cards, building decks and doing test hands with. I love this.
I can relate to Yugi here. Spending hours reading card effects for a new deck.
I don't know why but i got so much Yu gi oh in recommended, long time no see i really enjoyed it. Nice beats btw you Mindcrush me !
Glad you enjoy it!
idk why, but the theme really gets to me. playing the card game ever since i was a kid, going to my first local card shop and playing with a warrior deck that i had. having so much fun play testing decks and just fooling around with weird ideas. this really made me reminisce the fact how many friends ive made playing this silly card game
"This song doesnt deserve a spot in my playlist but it might make a good coaster for my drink"
I can't wait to see who the first yugituber to use this in the background of a video will be, you can just imagine having this faintly in the background of like a "top 5 meta decks" video or like a deck list video lol
I summon my chill eyes lofi dragon
I swear they better not make a card named after this
This is exactly what I need to send people from the Swago realm to the shadow realm thanks
Omg, this is awesome!! I'm currently working on a Yu-Gi-Oh fanfic and I sometimes listen to music to focus. This is prefect as it's all the songs of Yu-Gi-Oh just slower and more relaxing. Whoever created this, you are a genius!!!
I am so glad you used the correct Arc-V intro. Hanate/Unleash is such a JAM
I didn't expect to find lofi + yu gi oh! Perfectly polymerized
As a fusion summon enthusiast I confirm that he definitely uses Polymerization on lofi and Yu-Gi-Oh music to make this
Alternative 2: Yugi is laughing at the cards that are printed in Joey talk like Stone Armadiller. 😄
The lo-fi version of the theme song hit me right in the soul 🖤🖤🖤
When I was a young boy never would I have believed you if you told me that this would exist and I would be using it to help me study. What a time to be alive.
This still brings back memories of the time I got sent to the shadow realm when I was 11, I was stuck there for four years and there were no card games… :(
Atem at 22:05 gave me chills. I love this.
‘I just can’t understand what Pot of Greed does!’
Nice idea, will come back to this a lot. Cor-Arts did a great job as well really nice
Farewell, Kazuki Takahashi.
Creator of our beautiful Dream.
The Dream to be the King of Games
As a survivor of the Dark Millennium myself, I gotta say that OG Yu-Gi-Oh is best Yu-Gi-Oh.
This is helping me a lot to send people to the shadow realm to. Thanks for having this engaging masterpiece
I wish there was individiual release of every song so i can loop them. Loving all of them
in video description is soundcloud link to individuals
I reached KOG (King of games), thanks to this music. It helped me clear my mind during duels.
That's how long it takes me to read the effects before playing a card, too
Double the time because your opponent has to read it too.
Than you gotta figure out if a special case applies
Imagine reading the card effects instead of just blindly playing and hoping for the best.
In all seriousness though, it seems like knowing what the cards actually do is a big part of the skill of a duelist in the anime, explaining the effects doesn't seem to be mandatory.
I reminisce those days where I was just a kid playing card game, wishing my card would come to live and hangout with me as I believed in the heart of the cards.
Love this! You did amazing making this, my wife and I listen to this while playing the TCG.
This music is perfect while waiting for your turn to summon after your enemy take so much time summoning
I didn't ask for this but I needed this
Beats to duel to is SUCH A GOOD IDEA.
Me and my best bro always wanna duel when we hang out and sometimes smoke too so we always have music on cuz otherwise you get those boring and silent moments where one of you is deciding what to do or searching/summoning stuff, but sometimes somgs are just too distracting or you only get ones that are loud or too quiet or depressing come on lol
everything about this image is just amazing. from the potted plant being in the millenium puzzle, to the kurribohs, to the framed dark magician in the corner.
Fun Fact: When Yugi banished fools to the Shadow Realm, they were made to listen to this track and watch this Artscape on loop for all eternity.
Send me to the shadow realm then
