It also has to do with light color spectrum. Underwater you loose light depending on clarity and depth. Red is the first color to fall off the spectrum. Blacks and blues are the last colors to fall off. That is why blue is a great dirty water bass color even if there is no food that is blue in the water
@@TruckGuru67 what is false? How often do you fish? What do you fish for? What do YOU use? Don’t just make a claim with zero elaboration. I catch a piss load of fish on black lures, especially at night
As a fisherman the reasoning for a dark lure is because of your situation, black is useful in bright days and clear water because it stands out the most, something like white would be best in a dark cloudy day in foggy water, it’s all about the fish being able to see the lure and rarely about how it actually looks and you’ll learn that when you see how easy it is to catch a fish on a bright pink lure
I'm not a fishing person, but I like seeing your process and seeing how your lures turn out. They're all little beauties and I'd put them on display with my stuff
If you made that in a mullet color, here in Florida youd be smashing tarpon. I use something similar but with one hook through the top like a regular swim bait, yours will definitely have a better hookup ratio.
Fish really don’t need to see their prey to eat it. You can fish deep on a dark moonless night with a plastic bait with no sent and catch fish regularly. They can feel it. They don’t even need it to move a lot. I’ve done this with bass on rubber worms on the bottom with no sent plenty of dark nights.
I remember large mouth bass fishing a “sneak in” pond deep In The woods behind a plantation with my dad growing up. both of us were using a Texas rig he was using a all black culprit artificial worm while I was using the “red shad” color of the same brand every cast he was either catching a bass or missing one we were side by side I wasn’t getting nothing I had missed a few but that was it. finally he convinced me to throw on a black one and I swear to god every cast after that as soon as it hit the water if not a few seconds after I would be pulling in a bass almost no action required at all just it hitting the water had them on the hook to this day I have never had such an amazing day of bass fishing we ended up leaving 2-3 hours later not because it got to hot and not because they stopped biting. We left only because we was TIRED of fishing I caught 40 something just by myself I don’t ever tell this story because often times people take me for a liar when telling this one. This pond hadn’t been fished in years ( the only way to fish it was with a inflatable boat) and was just completely overloaded with bass and something about that black culprit worm on that particular day did the trick for them that day I learned that contrary to what you might believe murky water calls for darker colors NOT brighter.
Last Saturday, I made a metal lure with can tin sheets picked up from the ground on the shore of Cayococo, Cuba. It was bitten twice by a 20-pound tarpon. If the hook hadn't been unsuitable, I would have caught it.

Not me seeing this and wanting to fidget with the lure 😅
I kinda wish micro swimbaits had these colors
Very clean pouring 🎉 them baits look amazing, top job
you should do one with a black bottom and a white top if you haven’t already
You should do one with a white top and black bottom
You should make a bait where you pour a thin layer of as many colors as possible.
Any name ideas?
that would be interesting
How make it?(so excellent )
Am I the only one who thought it looked like he was making baseball bats?😂
Bruh u are good at making those. That bait was beautiful
Thank you 🤝
Please make finland lure
You should do the same but with a green line its pops out way more then the orange
Not that you asked but the top of the fish being dark and the bottom being light is called counter coloration
I never knew that . I tend to avoid black lures, I’ll try some out
Not him fingering the molds 💀🤣

Make this but blend the orange and black but keep the pattern

Black absorbs the most light. It’s the most visible no matter what.

Ok this is not even related but are those lures good fidget toys? They look squishy and kinda cute, looks fun to mess around with

Its because fish rely on seeing shadows. So they see that most of all.
