I'll admit before saying this, that I saw Brotherhood before FMA so there may be a bias. But between the two series, I feel FMA ended up dropping a few too many hints at what happened by drawing it out and thus the reveal wasn't as much of a gut punch. Having this horrifying thing come out of effectively nowhere (or with virtually no real warning of just HOW dark it was) was far more effective.

I randomly stumbled onto the Brotherhood episode in question, and remember watching and being like, "... wait, I remember this being WAY better than this. Wasn't it slower and darker and better-acted?" Then I found out this was Brotherhood, which surprised me, as I'd heard Brotherhood was supposed to be exponentially better than the original, but this was just a MAJOR disappointment, to the point I didn't bother watching the rest. The original was a slow, creepy build-up, whereas Brotherhood's was just like, "... um, okay, I guess that happened. Alright, whatever." No impact whatsoever.

The animal was bit colourful. And it was an Asian movie. So, is there any other movie that has similar plot like this? Does anyone know? @LionelRGuy Even if it this particular scene is better in your opinion I think its ridiculous to think that the story as a whole holds up better.
