Brotherhood is not about the two brothers in particular as much as 03. There’s a large cast in BH, and the focus is much more vast, and has a certain type of optimism that 03 trades for its specific brand of tragedy. This song is much more appropriate for 03’s identity in particular, with the two brothers only having each other through all their suffering, and largely still keeps this show (which is also great just like BH) in the minds of FMA fans. I’m glad 03 got this special song, and that it is EXCLUSIVE to the experience of 03.

The scene were the lieutenant is carrying ed after he passed out from fighting to exhaustion and she tells Roy he is only a boy to which Roy replies he stopped being a boy when he joined the army still hits harder than any death I have ever seen in an anime.

Love this. Its one of those songs which give me goosebumps anytime. I feel like any pain is much less than what Ed and Al faced. Its so consoling and makes sure I keep moving forward no matter what happens.

@@elyxircreations1003 He was accused by Monica Rial of sexual assault. Something that she alleges happened years ago, yet decides to speak up about it, just when the new broly movie comes out. A few other VA's jumped on the bandwagon (Sean Schimmel and Chris Sabbot the voices of goku and vegeta, both dislike vic and like monica, big shock there) and essentially destroyed his carrier. They removed his name from the movie (the highest selling animated film at that time i believe) and he lost everything. He was drug through the mud and it almost killed him. However, with some help from some online supporters, he has found some justice and started going to panels and cons with outstanding support. Also, there was NO evidence at all supporting her claim, but like most things, if the word rape is thrown up, companies will drop you in a heartbeat. Sadly i dont believe he has done any animated films since this all happened, but he has alot of support and fans, and many of us side with Vic. Which started the hastag IStandWithVic. There is a long log of video depositions for the case, but sadly i dont think anything really came of it. He had his day in court, and i dont believe he was found guilty, but they also did not punish Monica in any way. She still is doing VA work while his life was ruined and lost years of work because of her. The wonderful world of guilty until proven innocent and the court of public opinion, isent it a great thing? -_-

I read up on it and honestly was in disbelief about the accusations as a sexual assault victim myself I felt betrayed but I still chose not to believe it. I have watched the story from the beginning, and obviously i cannot know if he is truely guilty or not. However, what i can say is, his story has remained the same, hers has changed. She has been caught in lies, Vic has not. Her boyfriend Ron posted page after page (something like 30 pages) of tweets, slandering Vic, yet claimed someone hacked his twitter and they posted it. Vic said it himself, he is not perfect, or a angle, but he did not ever do anything that was non consensual with anyone. Other thing, Vic never responded to any of these allegations and attacks, he stayed calm and acted like an adult, while Monica and Ron have relied on the court of public opinion and spreading rumors to harm Vic.
Everytime I hear this song I can not help but shed tears, FMA was a great anime. Taught me lots of lessons. It's the best anime I've ever watched. FMA lives on forever in each of our hearts.

Oh my god O,O This just makes me respect Vic Mignogna even more not only as a voice actor but also as a person. He seems like such a kind-hearted and bubbly person, yet his voice acting skills are amazing, he can play so many different characters with so many different personalities different from his.
My mom and I just finished watching the original FMA. She hated anime 10 years ago when FMA first came out and she FINALLY watched it with me all these years later. We just finished watching the entire anime tonight and she loved it. She said that she finally got me and my sister's love for the show and is slowly understanding our love for anime. I made her love FMA after 10 years, and I'm so happy I got the chance to finally share it.
Thanks to an amv did I discover this amazing series back in 2013. I was so amazed by the story, the music, the sadness and valuable lessons it brought. I was so into anime during this time, and I remember there was a manga/anime store a few minutes from my house. I rented the DVD version from here and practically forced my mom to watch the original Fullmetal alchemist series with me. It was such a simpler time for my family then. Now my mother has cancer and it's seems our financial situation only spirals down. I sometimes feel as if Fullmetal alchemist was preparing me for some tough times. Being that the main theme seemed to revolve around loss.
Let it be remembered that Vic got his career ruined because he cared too much. God bless the man, and I hope he's able to get the compensation he deserves.

There was a moment when I listened to the song this time where I forgot who Vic even was. This wasn't a voice actor doing a cover of a piece of music for a show he worked in, it was Edward Elric singing to his brother.
