      I completely agree with you, George's channel is amazing! I really appreciate his suggestions for cost-effective products. It's always good to know your active ingredients. Also, I wanted to mention that the best time for foliar applications is early morning and late afternoon, when the humidity is higher and the leaves are in a state of full turgor, with their cells full of water and the stomata are open. It's best to avoid spraying during the warmer hours of the day as the absorption at high temperatures is very poor.

      If you're looking for a pre-emergent use a prodiamine based pre-emergent, such as Barricade. A good pre/post-emergent is Tenacity. For post-emergents, the best options are Trillion, Par III, and SpeedZone mixed with Urea and Citric Acid. The Citric Acid serves as a surfactant, and it also lowers the pH of the carrier (water), which enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of your herbicides.

You’re always clear and to the point, informative and the videos are all very enjoyable to watch. Not to mention, your lawn looks outstanding, and it adds to the encouragement (not always the case with some of the lawn expert channels for whatever reason it may be). Baby shampoo can be expensive, but the cheapest dollar store stuff works great. (Actually, anything with Sodium Laureth Sulfate ... the key ingredient for a wetting agent ... will work). I just use dollar store bubble bath ... a big bottle for $1.25. I use the Jerry Baker lawn tonic formulas, but I use fresh human pee instead of ammonia and I have one of the greenest lawns on my block. I don't take drugs or use meds and I drink only distilled water, so it's all quite safe. Urine contains urea, phosphorous and potassium, so it's all valuable. Also, in hot climates (I'm in Texas) mow your grass on the highest setting. I mow my St Augustine at 4" and it's lush and thick.

    I recently started applying .2lbs of urea (,43 lbs of product per 1k) every 2 weeks, but I need to get my P and K up. How much N would 8 dry oz give me? Should I do this instead of urea? Sorry, I am new to all of this.

    • @PrincessCutLawnCare
      @PrincessCutLawnCare  Год назад

      No Problem! You have quite the patch of grass to treat!
      Yes this is meant to spoon feed but with that much property to cover, the price would add up quick.
      If i were you, i would go to your local AG/feed store and buy a 10-10-10 or 13-13-13 granular in bulk and apply the granular along with your urea spoon feeding program. It would be the best budget solution yet would still yield similar results.
      Good luck!

    super class video. Everything explained very well and simple. It is hot hot hot in Dallas TX(107 F), My Bermuda grass burned down. Dry patches every where. I used baby shampoo 4oz/gallon/1000 sf, using back pack spray and start sprinkler right after that. Next day used liquid nitrogen 4oz/gallon as mentioned on product by using spray bottle with hose. Question is how often should I use baby shampoo and liquid nitrogen?

    Can you mix the baby shampoo and liquid iron to save time with one spray?

    • @PrincessCutLawnCare
      @PrincessCutLawnCare  Год назад +2

      Baby shampoo needs to be watered In immediately. Iron needs to sit on the blades for a few hours so no, you should apply separately.
