Hi JP! Love your videos! So cool you were only a minute away from our house! Here's some information on the building from my dad: Hello JP. Yes the old Roosevelt School was a storage building. It was owned by Telephone Engineering Co. and used for a warehouse until the late 1980's early 1990's. I was employed by the company from 1979 until 1989. The main company building and office was only about a mile and a half away on Main St. The company used to repair telephones for various telephone companies...Commonwealth Telephone, Continental Telephone, NEPA Telephone among others. After the telephone industry became deregulated, Telephone Engineering was able to sell and repair phones for the general public. At one time the company sold old antique telephones to the movie industry for movie props. There are many phones is the area that came from TE that are still going strong, not like today's "throw-away" junk. Years ago there was a railroad boxcar next to the building for additional storage, but that's a story for another time. Great video....I'm glad you were able to document it before it comes down. I'm told that may happen in the spring.
It amazes me how many abandoned places I see in my area and think about all the struggling and homeless people we have in the U.S. Places like this that have sat for so long just crumbling that could have been remodeled or revamped into housing of some sort. Keep it up you guys! 👍
As a little kid in the 70's I remember my grade school, although much bigger, being from this era of the late 19th century. I was always excited when I got to erase the chalk boards and take the erasers down to the janitor's closet to bang them together to clean them. Thanks for adding the old video as well. People sure did talk weird back then, such a formal accent! Also loved seeing the old push button wall switches. When I moved into my house 8 years ago, the smallest bedroom had the same switch. Very cool!
That beginning video... 🤣 My dad had desks like those when he was in school in the 50s. He got in trouble once for letting off firecrackers in his desk. They only knew it was him from the smoke pouring out from under the desktop lid. 😅
Wow, awesome video! It brings back memories. I attended an old school like this one in the 2nd and third grade. We had a cloak room next to the classroom where we hung our coats. I'm quite sure that is what the long narrow room was. My 3rd grade teacher inspected our hands each morning before entering the classroom to make sure they were clean. We also had to have a handkerchief with us. No kleenex back then!!
Boys and girls schools in session, take out your books📚, zip your lip and pay attention it's time for another Jp classic😜 What a Beautiful School🏚 Your videos and still shots📸🎞 always amaze me.. I can't wait for the next😊
Love how you edit the photographs in. Surprised by the lack of graffiti. Would be cool to unearth a yearbook for this school. Sometimes the local library will have the school yearbook collection I enjoyed that 50s school video in the beginning🤣
So sad.....I've always been fascinated by old buildings. Back in the 70's I went to an elementary school that was built in 1920. I was mesmerized by it, even as a little kid. It is still being used as a school, although the separate gymnasium fell down last winter. They didn't keep up with the roof maintenance and the roof caved under the weight of the snow. This building looks so big but only has 4 classrooms? And no bathrooms. I kinda thought the small room may have been the office. I would have loved to see it back when it was new. So glad it's documented.
The woodwork is amazing. It’s amazing it’s still there and in pretty good condition. Hope they let someone reclaim it before its demolished. Another great find and video!
Awesome explore! Loved the B&W footage and the classroom noise at 4:00. Maybe all the rooms had phones and they scrapped them all thinking that they were going to replace them with newer ones? Or phone storage until the place started to crumble, then tele-grave yard? Definitely strange. Wood work and staircases beautiful, to bad no one could save it. JP, you’ve been bad, report back to this class at 4 pm! Lol. Not bored yet, to answer your question... lol. Gave thumbs up as always!
My elementary school that I went to looked similar to that school but it was only one level. It had all the woodwork too. The little closets in the room was our cloak room and everybody had a hook and we hung our coats and our mittens and our hats on them. Luckily my school did not get torn down, they turned it into a community center and it's still there today. Great video! Brought back good memories!
All I can say is wow, just WOW!!! The school was so cool and the telephones looked like the ones you see in the old movies from the 30’s and 40’s!! I’m watching all your videos today! Thanks again
Love the pictures you put in the video, and the “sound effects” such as the noise in the classroom. Can’t believe the building is still intact after all of this time, it looks good for its age. As always, love the content!
JP ,Someone was in the process of selling the woodwork that's for sure in video .Hopefully prior to demolition the owner will seel it for good use.Back in those days the door & window trim was Chestnut which looks like oak . Great video
Awesome job Jay. Really like the addition of the black and white vintage school clips and sound bites of children. Reminds me of my grammer school a bit, it was built in1885. That too has/had a lot of wonder woodwork. Maybe at some point the school was used for a business that salvaged parts of phones before digital and chips. Awesome stuff these old buildings, thanks for sharing it.👍✌️

If the teacher had to paddle someone she would take them into the cloak room. lol We also had a large auditorium and a little store where our snacks came from for recess. All that dark wood and the high ceilings scared me to death. I didn't speak a word till I was in high school. lol This is one of my favorites. Thank you guys

You find the most interesting things to visit to show us things of our past. I cant do anything like that any more. But I do love seeing you and Mike go through them. I have a lung disease that there's no cure. I'm on oxygen all the time. I want to thank you for doing this. I have watched alot of the other ones and some are just dangerous. You show me interesting things to watch and I know your not putting yourself in danger. Again thank you for your intrest in the past.
I have pulmonary fibrosis Little Debbie so I too can’t explore. I like how they explore buildings as well. They are very receptive to reader comments too which is very cool.
@@elizabethkessler7029 that's what I have. My lung doctor is so good and now he just let me know that he was leaving. I'll be seeing one of the doctors that is in his office. I was diagnosed in December 2016. I just turned 65 last year.
I’m amazed that the woodwork is still intact! And I love the double stairs, reminds me of my school days where you went up one side and down another! Thanks for another great explore!
Thank you so much for taking the time to film this! It must have been a beautiful school back then... the wood work still looks great for it’s age. I found it interesting that there wasn’t any bathrooms and the only toilet found was in the basement. Which makes me wonder if the building had plumbing. Normally you would also see or find water fountains too, but I don’t recall seeing any. It was very crazy to see all those phones and it does make you wonder why... Great find!
Ha Ha "The Room At The Top" Maybe for the "King of His Castle" Sorry, I have a weird sense of humor. They blocked it off to keep him from escaping!!! Thank you JP for "preserving this wonderful old buildings history" before it is torn down. I just hope that someone whom went to school there sees this video and has great memories of their school days there. I enjoyed it and I'm sure they will. It sort of reminds me of the school that I went to, with the beautiful woodwork and the double staircases. The slate chalkboards I hope the ones that are missing were preserved. A wonderful video. Thank you for being brave enough to enter and film it for us.
Very nice. Thank you so much for sharing. The quality was great and your incorporation of voices was really good. The fade of photos from the past to the present always fascinates me. Time marches on.....wonderful job!
Great video JP!!! I'm not sure when that style of phone was made but when I was in elementary school that's what we had in our home. Thank you guys for checking this old school out. Thank you JP for the video!!!
Hi Jay, I just wanted to let you know that I also watch the ads. I’m hoping this gives you more revenue. I enjoy watching your videos as compared to other explorers! Best wishes, Julie
Another great video JP!! Great work! I too LOVE that wood trim! Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for the still shots! Always love them!! Stay safe! Glad you made it through okay!
I second Raymond's comment, the old school class video incorporated into the your video was just an amazing touch. Gets you thinking. For me, I thought about the VERY sharp contrast of biggest issues in school compared to now. Talking out of turn and chewing gum compared to shootings, drugs and God knows what. Anyway, excellent work!
Thanks Jay & Mike, that school although very old was actually very beautiful. I find it such a shame that this lovely old place that is rich in history and memories is just going to be demolished and thrown on the junk pile. You'd think the county would want to save this and maybe run small educational tours. Thank you so much for all of your hard work. x
Thank YOU JPVideos !! As always...bloody great video!! Gosh, your intro certainly took me down memory lane ~~I was in primary school in the 70's (in Johannesburg, South Africa) & the teachers were extremely strict. Back then corporal punishment was the norm - boys received the cane on their glutus maxi -- (arrghh, bugger the Latin)-on their butts and girls received a very thick wooden ruler to their hands, and in extreme cases behind our knees too!! Damn...it was painful !! Our teachers were smartly dressed with men in suits and women in dresses (hem line just below the knee!!!). Those chalkboards were beautiful and the wood trim surrounding the boards and passage walls were amazing! It really saddens me to see such beautiful wood just go to waste. Perhaps, before destroying the building the wood will be salvaged~~ahh...I live in hope!! Love your videos JP, thanks for great content!! Vanessa 😎👍🐨, South Australia.
Really liked the stairway shot and the kids voices was a nice touch the old pealing paint is always cool the old chalk board /classroom shot was cool i loved the sound of the old creaky stairs the old wood work is so cool i would have loved to have seen those full windows in that classroom glad you got it before it was gone thank you for all your past and future videos keep up the great work
I enjoyed seeing all of the old woodwork as well. The telephone graveyard made good video fodder! Thanks for sharing the history! Another great video. 👏🏻
Wow!! Too bad this school is being torn down. You can see by your video that it is not structurally sound. I couldn't help but notice, about 24:18 into the video, it looked like a ladies face on that wall that was salmon and blue colored? Great find! Keep up the amazing work! 👍 I am thoroughly entertained!
Very nice video ,and the beautiful wood staircases n the old chalkboards ,just simply live it ,I just wish people would save the old stuff n give it or sell to people that want apart of history ,and not throw it away .god bless u ,stay safe .💚💙💜and JP thank ,the school video was so cute ,I love old history .and I love that u take time e to tell n describe all u can about watever ur filming ,thank u for that !!!👾
Thank you for another outstanding video . Like the fact that the building is not full of graffiti .The staircase and wainscoting are beautiful and love the chalkboard at 6:50. ...hard to believe that not even one phone survived intact...weird. Enjoyed the explore with you and Mike...you are a good team.
@@JPVideos81 Maybe the mystery components at 9:20 was for telephones.. could have been used by the phone company at one time. ...replacing custumers' old phones with modern ones .......forgot to mention the voices in the classroom at 3:40 ..freaked me out . "Please" tell me you added that for effect. LOL ...
Another amazing find and another amazing video. Thank you for all that you do my friend, what a beautiful place. Who knows what will happen, but hopefully somebody will go in there and try to remove some of that beautiful wood and save it to be repurposed elsewhere. It doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes people see the beauty and rarity of stuff like that and will do their best to save what they can before demolition. Thank you again for sharing this and be safe out there my friend, happy exploring
@@JPVideos81 of course man, you've got some of the best locations on RUclips!! Out of all the channels I started watching when I got into RUclips, this one really caught my eye from the beginning. You've got great locations, but you truly appreciate what you're looking at. So many channels just go into abandoned buildings and boast about how they got into certain buildings. You appreciate the woodwork, the craftsmanship, the stuff left behind. When I do an old or abandoned location, I I see a window into yesterday, into how people lived and what they did. I look at something like a piece of door trim nailed to a wall and think about how somebody did this a hundred years ago to support their family, to make money to raise their children that would become our grandparents. I look add a concrete slab that was poured at an Old Bridge or even the train yard, and think about not only how they were making a paycheck, but how they were Paving the way for Progress, for a new and better America, beginning the world we now live in. So many people Overlook that, but there is a couple of great channels that see the small stuff and you are one of them. Keep up the great work.
Hi JP, enjoyed the video and look inside old Roosevelt school in Erie. However, it broke my heart to see the terrible condition that it is in. What a shame that the city let it deteriorate like that. My mother and her siblings went to school there (grew up nearby) as did other relatives and friends in her generation. The phones are there, I believe, b/c the building was leased for a time to the phone company. There was an article about the building in the local newspaper within the last year or two. I’ll leave a link here in the comments if I can find it. Thanks again for your interesting videos.
Awesome video. It reminds me of the old part of Millville High Schoo (Millville PA), where I graduated from. It was three stories and had the same kind of beautiful wainscoting on the walls. Makes me feel nostalgic for it. I wish there was more information about this school. Thanks for showing it to us.
Another great video! I realize we're a little late on seeing this one, but we stumbled across an elementary school that closed in 2012 today and this popped up in the suggestions when we got home! Coincidence? Probably. But still pretty cool nonetheless :) We aspire to make quality videos of all the places we have marked on our map (over 100 abandoned places and another 100+ cemeteries). The weather hasn't exactly cooperated out here much but we're so eager to share what we have found over here in Ohio soon!
Thanks for the video JP. This place is creepy and a little dangerous. I loved the black and white movie intro . Absolutely love the photos. Some day I would love to purchase some and hang them on my walls in my house.I always learn something from your video's. A telephone grave yard. An one lonely toilet how sad. Thanks again 🖒😲👌
Hi JP, l was surprised that much of the building was still standing due to its age, it was very interesting to see, but All those phones, I wonder where they came from.☺ Thanks JP for sharing this with us.☺
Loved the original wood, I believe it was cherry. Hopefully someone will rescue it and use it somewhere else before they demolish the place. The chalk boards were huge, they took up the whole length of the wall!! Maybe it was a school for telephone repairs...lol..??? Or someone's hobby...lol...some of those phone's may of been worth a pretty penny....Great Find!!! Great Video Jay!!!! Thank you!!!
Looks a lot like a school I went to in the 60's. I remember it was built in 1903 because the year was above the front entrance, and that was the year my grandpa was born. It had big metal tubes for the fire escapes, you would just slide down them to get out fast. Fire drill day was always fun. It was torn down many years ago. This brings back many memories. Thanks!
Thanks. I loved your video! My favorite part was the mystery of the phones but generally enjoyed all of it. It appears even the heating equipment was stripped or maybe buried somewhere in the basement. Thanks again
The original wood is beautiful. It was cool seeing the old chalk boards too. I love the cute class room scene and class noises you inserted. As I watch videosike this I often let my imagination run with who would be there and why would they be doing. Another good vid!👍🏻
Reminds me a little bit of where I went to school from 1st grade through 9th grade. It was a beautiful old building but unfortunately was torn down years ago. Makes me very sad.
Enjoyed the video. My uncle says those component thingies you found, were alarms that were on the windows. He remembers them from when he was in school.
The begging you started off with reminds me of that old school movie Refer Madness... This was another good vid because it shows the younger generation on how multiple grades attended same school building through multiple grades not three to four grades along with the craftsmanship that went into it it not only was functional but it was beautiful and this will bring back memories from our older folks too..... Just hope they reclaim the wood along with the timbers inside thats old growth wood... Oh the phones for you should I just tell them your not in....??? Thanks for reading Peace
Hi JP, I started grade school in the early 1960's and we would use the small closets for hanging up our coats. Kathy may be right about the top room being the principal's office. Not all schools had a principal, but a head teacher that acted in place of a principal.
Federal telephone took the name Federal telephone and radio company around 1940. Those phones look about that old. The school was relatively small but ever so charming. Its a shame but it really is beyond repair. Thanks for showing us!
The "closet" was maybe a coat room? Also - did u kick that cat out of his house?? He was sitting out in the cold waiting for u to get done touring his home! lol. lol. Great video jp - appreciate u documenting this piece of history before its torn down.
A lady never tells her age - but this sort of reminds me of my old grade school in Fayette County - Pa It’s been torn down and gone now for 30 years - I especially loved how you added the sounds of children in the one room - of this video 👍
Its a shame nobody can buy this school and repair it. Beautiful wood work! This would be a neat place to fix up (not as bad as the J.P.Cooper school). The kids toys kind of depress me. Whats up with the orange cats in your last 2 videos? Was that the noises you thought were voices. I guess now when you see a toy, is officially abandoned...when you see a cat(or other animal) would this be a sign that it might be haunted? Love these videos .. keep up the good work and be safe.
Where do bad phones go when they die, They don't go to heaven where the angels fly, they go to an old school house and die. You don't see em again til 4th of July 🎶 Lol
As always fantastic vid from ya!! I always love love the woodwork and the nice construction of these old schools and buildings, I know my 8th grade year I was the last class to go to the old middle school, it used to be the old HS, was built in the early 1900’s, reminded me of this building only bigger. Sad to see them all go, the buildings they build today won’t be standing like that 100 years from now!!!
Thanks JP for sharing with me this video about ABANDONED SCHOOL-Telephone Graveyard-closed since the 1950's I really enjoyed this video JD and the school does look very old and it looks like it was closed for a while and I can't wait to see your next video and God Bless and thanks again my friends.
Awesome video! Talk about goin old school... Reminds me of the scene in the movie The Lady in White where the main character gets locked in the cloak room and saw the ghost girl. Shame the place will be torn down. The woodwork, fixtures and phones should be saved. Someone commented on clapping the erasers... Ah, the good old days. Keep up the good work and be safe!
The wood was beautiful, I come from a family of carpenters so I know Beautiful wood. Also, I think that room could of been like a storage or supply room. Once again, great place. Thanks for sharing.
I went to a school that old in the early 60s in Ft Worth Tx . The small rooms in side the classrooms are coat closets where your coats lunch kits and pursues were kept. The other small rooms were offices.
I'm so glad I saw this - never seen so much phones under a building before, I'm sure Mike from the bike barn would have loved those phones in his museum. A great video loved it...Thanks JP and Mike for sharing. :0)
Wow, well glad you were able to get it on video as it's probably gone now. Really a shame no one would buy it and do something with it, was also weird all those phones were there, did you ever find out why? Those wooden steps were interesting and a surprise they were still stable, I liked the wood trim, dont see that now, thx for sharing
When you video these old buildings, I think of my dad. He was a carpenter and built our home almost completely from wood salvaged from houses being torn down to make way for a highway. He salvaged among other things the wood for hardwood floors. This was done with the ok of the city for a small fee. Some of the wood in this building would be great reused.
Great explore as always. I know what you mean about the wood it’s absolutely gorgeous. The phone mystery interesting. And you should’ve played Cheech and Chong‘s Sister Mary Elephant when you were in one of the classrooms hehe
So odd with all the phones maybe after the school closed they used it as a call center. Would be interesting to know why all those phones are there. Great video!
I believe the room on top was once where the bell went. They stopped using it and likely closed it in. The little room in back with little closet I’ve used and they were the cloak room. There was a long shelf and a hook under it. You came in and put your lunch on the shelf and your coat on the hook. They don’t do that anymore either. The cloakroom closet could have been for storage but I suspect given the placement of the vent and the age of the building a coal stove once sat there as in old days each room had one. They had no central heat at first.
I am surprised that the date of the building was not on the outside. They used to put it on the bricks out by the front door. Such great architectural designs from back then. I wonder why the people didn't do more to restore it.
Kind of ironic you'd find a basement full if phones when you like to add phone ringing to your videos. Lol!! Very cool old building . Thx for pics attatched.

😊
I have a small collection of old phones, so seeing those in the video made my day!! Another great video!!
Hopefully your phone are in better shape.
Very nice. Thank you so much for sharing. The quality was great and your incorporation of voices was really good. The fade of photos from the past to the present always fascinates me. Time marches on.....wonderful job!
Loved the video. The wood is gorgeous. Impressive that it is in such good shape. Thanks for sharing.
Great video JP!!! I'm not sure when that style of phone was made but when I was in elementary school that's what we had in our home. Thank you guys for checking this old school out. Thank you JP for the video!!!
You're welcome
Love the still shots by the way, and the sounds of a classroom in the beginning. You're gaining mad skills!!
Thanks so much
Hi Jay, I just wanted to let you know that I also watch the ads. I’m hoping this gives you more revenue. I enjoy watching your videos as compared to other explorers! Best wishes, Julie
You're the best julie 💙
LIKE always love watching the abandoned builds and the history.thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks!
Another great video JP!! Great work! I too LOVE that wood trim! Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for the still shots! Always love them!! Stay safe! Glad you made it through okay!
Thank you. Hey! Didnt we just talk? Haha
Thanks Andrew. Btw, im currently finishing up editing on a video that is going to be well over an hour long.
Thanks for sharing..this school was quite beautiful back in its day...you can tell by the woodwork..some on the walls still looks perfect!
It had lots of charm
Thanks Jay & Mike, that school although very old was actually very beautiful. I find it such a shame that this lovely old place that is rich in history and memories is just going to be demolished and thrown on the junk pile. You'd think the county would want to save this and maybe run small educational tours. Thank you so much for all of your hard work. x
You're very welcome
*GREAT VID J* 👍
Thank you vanessa
What a neat place! Thanks for documenting it before it's gone...great video! 👍
Thanks carmen
Really liked the stairway shot and the kids voices was a nice touch the old pealing paint is always cool the old chalk board /classroom shot was cool i loved the sound of the old creaky stairs the old wood work is so cool i would have loved to have seen those full windows in that classroom glad you got it before it was gone thank you for all your past and future videos keep up the great work
Thanks robert
I enjoyed seeing all of the old woodwork as well. The telephone graveyard made good video fodder! Thanks for sharing the history! Another great video. 👏🏻
What a great old school. Love the push button light switches and all that beautiful wood.
High quality, as usual! Great explore and background!
Glad you enjoyed it
It's amazing the place is still standing with its age. Beautiful hard wood floor and paneling. Cool vid.
Wont be up much longer
This is wicked cool. I love the layout of this place. The wood work alone is very impressive.
Very nice video ,and the beautiful wood staircases n the old chalkboards ,just simply live it ,I just wish people would save the old stuff n give it or sell to people that want apart of history ,and not throw it away .god bless u ,stay safe .💚💙💜and JP thank ,the school video was so cute ,I love old history .and I love that u take time e to tell n describe all u can about watever ur filming ,thank u for that !!!👾
Thank you
Man! All that trim just waiting to go down with the ship! If I had a chance, I would be in there claiming all that beautiful trim!
Weirdest Graveyard I've ever seen.
LOL ...
Fantastic job! I actually went to a school that looked similar to this one. Someone needs to salvage the wood! Thanks again!
Loved this video and audio! You always do a awesome job!
Ty Linda
I love love love this video!
Your edits in between floors is very cool!
Ty
Another amazing find and another amazing video. Thank you for all that you do my friend, what a beautiful place. Who knows what will happen, but hopefully somebody will go in there and try to remove some of that beautiful wood and save it to be repurposed elsewhere. It doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes people see the beauty and rarity of stuff like that and will do their best to save what they can before demolition.
Thank you again for sharing this and be safe out there my friend, happy exploring
Thanks for checking it out rich
Thanks for checking out the video.
No clue about the phones. Bizarre indeed. Love the still photos! You always do such a great guys!
First time ever seeing a phone graveyard.
@@JPVideos81 I was waiting for you to have one of them start ringing...
If we have a live stream Friday night may be the phone graveyard might be the topic of conversation☎☎📞📞😉
@@ellenagee4005 haha. Maybe if one of them was in working condition.
@@highatruthart it will be Saturday night, but sure.
😊
One of my favourite youtubers!! Great content
Ty
Looks a lot like a school I went to in the 60's. I remember it was built in 1903 because the year was above the front entrance, and that was the year my grandpa was born. It had big metal tubes for the fire escapes, you would just slide down them to get out fast. Fire drill day was always fun. It was torn down many years ago. This brings back many memories. Thanks!
You're welcome
You find the most amazing places. All the phones were a bit odd. Great video.
Thanks sarah. This was a lucky find by spotting it on the news.
JPVideos You find places I would love to see in person. Thank you.
Thanks. I loved your video! My favorite part was the mystery of the phones but generally enjoyed all of it. It appears even the heating equipment was stripped or maybe buried somewhere in the basement. Thanks again
You're welcome
The original wood is beautiful. It was cool seeing the old chalk boards too. I love the cute class room scene and class noises you inserted. As I watch videosike this I often let my imagination run with who would be there and why would they be doing. Another good vid!👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it. My imagination runs alot too.
This was a good find JP. I enjoyed a lot
Glad you enjoyed it
I really wish someone would’ve reclaimed all that wood. Such a waste 😕 and that phone graveyard? Bizarre lol
Thank you
Right? The salvage value of that wood is frankly incalculable in money AND in beauty....
Ah ok. Tell him thank you
@@JPVideos81 I did, and he said you're welcome ;)
As a teacher, I think it is sad to see an abandoned School !! But the video is great, especially the introduction in black and white !!!
Ty
You're welcome
The "closet" was maybe a coat room? Also - did u kick that cat out of his house?? He was sitting out in the cold waiting for u to get done touring his home! lol. lol. Great video jp - appreciate u documenting this piece of history before its torn down.
Cat came back home when i left. 😉
A lady never tells her age - but this sort of reminds me of my old grade school in Fayette County - Pa
It’s been torn down and gone now for 30 years - I especially loved how you added the sounds of children in the one room - of this video 👍
Thanks sheila
Great video.. Lots of great wood to reclaim... The phones were crazy though
Haha, cats and haunted? Anything's possible.
Where do bad phones go when they die,
They don't go to heaven where the angels fly, they go to an old school house and die. You don't see em again til 4th of July 🎶
Lol
Lol
Thank you my friend
Awesome video! Talk about goin old school... Reminds me of the scene in the movie The Lady in White where the main character gets locked in the cloak room and saw the ghost girl. Shame the place will be torn down. The woodwork, fixtures and phones should be saved. Someone commented on clapping the erasers... Ah, the good old days. Keep up the good work and be safe!
I love hearing everyone's memories.
Wow thats really cool jp! Keep up all the hard work thank you for the cool video.
You're welcome riley
The wood was beautiful, I come from a family of carpenters so I know Beautiful wood. Also, I think that room could of been like a storage or supply room.
Once again, great place. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing!
I really enjoyed this video! Thanks guys.
Haha yeah, right up his alley.
A phone repair company worked out of there after the school closed.
Great explore guys , great history info, thankyou
When you video these old buildings, I think of my dad. He was a carpenter and built our home almost completely from wood salvaged from houses being torn down to make way for a highway. He salvaged among other things the wood for hardwood floors. This was done with the ok of the city for a small fee. Some of the wood in this building would be great reused.
Great explore as always. I know what you mean about the wood it’s absolutely gorgeous. The phone mystery interesting. And you should’ve played Cheech and Chong‘s Sister Mary Elephant when you were in one of the classrooms hehe
Lol
Forgot I saw Mikes Stills of this school and it was great to view and be able to study the photos one at a time.
Great video. Reminded me of my grade school.
So odd with all the phones maybe after the school closed they used it as a call center. Would be interesting to know why all those phones are there. Great video!
We may never know.
Very interesting. Thanks for the info
I am surprised that the date of the building was not on the outside. They used to put it on the bricks out by the front door. Such great architectural designs from back then. I wonder why the people didn't do more to restore it.
It probably was, but as you can tell. The outside had siding put over the original structure.
You know it's old when you have those push button on /off light switches. Very cool!
Yes indeed
Kind of ironic you'd find a basement full if phones when you like to add phone ringing to your videos. Lol!! Very cool old building . Thx for pics attatched.
Lol, unfortunately none of them were in working condition.
