Ive been making cheese for 12 years. There's very, very little lactose in hard/aged cheese. The cultures added to the milk (before the rennet) digest the lactose into lactic acid so very little is left by the time the milk is coagulated and the weigh is drained
I can't say I'm right, but I eat dairy. I adore cheese. Can't help it. And, I've given up every single other thing, other than the occasional avocado, so I don't feel guilty about it. I don't have chronic pain like I used to and I've lost about 30lbs, so I'm not too worried about it. I guess I'm saying, I could have worse habits. 🙃
Carnivore puritans will say no because it's not meat. My personal overall criteria is carb count. Idc whether it's classified as Carnivore, keto or keto-vore as long as it's not going to jack up blood glucose or my carb limit.
Cheese is deffo carnivore as its animal products. The older the cheese is, the better it is for the diet! I just love love love parmesan and butter on my steak!! ❤
I'm 60 days on Carnivore. I grew up 15 minutes on the Illinois Wisconsin border. Yes, I'm a "Cheese Head". I'm watching NASCAR. I have made a Carnivore cheese dip with bacon, ground beef, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon grease and green chilies. Chili powder, onion powder, garlic and pepper. Served with Carnivore chips and pork rinds. Very filling. I started out at 260 pounds. Down to 244 a month ago. Dropped 1-1/2 sizes. My 90 day challenges May 1st. I'll weigh in again at that time.
I struggle to eat enough food on this diet. A piece of cheese is sometimes all I have time to eat before dashing off to work or someplace else. I'm not always home to fix myself some meat and I can't afford to eat fast food meat. Cheese or pork rinds are the fast go to snacks. We still need those.
So far I eat a moderate amount of full fat dairy including cheese. And I am still doing well. Every body is different and you have to tinker around with what works best for you.
Cheese - and butter, kefir, and yogurt - YES ! All derived from the animal. All yummy & healthy if you aren't lactose intolerant. Maybe people are thinking of the LION DIET where only certain types of meat are consumed?
@1:20 you said that most people eat ' Chedder ' and while that is possibly TRUE , I personally find ' Cheddar ' disgusting ... Farmers Cheese is a moist Mozzarella Cheese , and Swiss Cheese is probably my FAVORITE Cheese . Bring milk to 110 degrees and add an ' Acid ' to it -- Apple Cider Vinegar , White Vinegar , Used Pickle Juice , they also make Citric Acid .. Turn off heat and let sit for about an hour .. Slice the curd -- you have Farmers Cheese . Reheat the Farmers Cheese and beat it up -- this will cause more of the liquid whey out of the cheese . Once your Farmers Cheese is super stretchy and glossy shiny when stretched you then have Mozzarella Cheese . Reheat the remaining milk and whey to 200 degrees and let set , the remining cheese curd will float to the top , remove it and hang it overnight to drip drain the excess moisture -- Ricotta Cheese or Twice cooked cheese .. Farmers Cheese , Mozzarella Cheese and Ricotta Cheese is so commonly made as it is very easy to make . Not all Cheeses are made the same way ... Carnivore Status would depend on what was added to the Cheese in order to make it .. Farmers , Mozzarella and Ricotta are definitely in the Carnivore Wheel House . Made from pure fat and protein -- the acids remain in the whey ..
That’s a really great comment. I would really love to see how you make your farmers cheese. I screen shot your comment though so maybe I can figure it out …
Cheese is okay on carnivore, in my experience. At the same time, it seems to hold true that you will lose weight faster when you omit dairy products. So if that's the reason why you're a carnivore, leave the cheese.
The dictionary defention of processed foods says it is . As is eating animals . Picking a berry from a bush and eating it is unprocessed 😀. The least processed foods on the planet are plants .
Nomadic groups have moved around animals even in fairly modern times. Unfortunately those groups do not leave a lot of evidence in the landscape. Even the original farmers did not leave much evidence of their existence. Darkened areas were posts were. The odd stone plough head. So people telling you that dairy farming started after regular farming do not understand how things work. The idea that a man whos wife died at child birth , and no other wet nurse available, would not think to use the milk from another animal is crazy. It is what we humans do. And our brains were bigger before agriculture. And it would not take much to turn it into regular food. Some of us could have dairy eating going back a million years for all we actually know. I do best with dairy in the diet. A glass of milk and a hunk of cheese, and I can go all day, full of energy. Meat on its own does not give me that. They think the first cheese came about from using a stomach lining to carry milk. And that would leave no evidence.
I eat cheese and cook with cheeses and heavy whipping cream and half n half, and I consider myself carnivore. I don't eat any vegetables, but I use spices made from plants. It works for me.
I am going to say cheese is fine for me on a carnivore diet. (when I am socializing I eat keto so I am not super hard-core about it) Lactose is not the only issue people have with cheese and dairy though. People also have issues with the proteins in dairy like casein. Many people don't realize they have the issue because it doesn't always present itself with clear symptoms. So maybe it doesn't matter? Well it can matter for people with autoimmune issues like Hashimotos and others. I try to get raw goat cheddar and other raw goat cheeses. It isn't cheap or easily found so I also sometimes eat cows cheese. I do have hashimotos though. In theory I should cut it out all together ... But I am already eating such a restrictive diet that one more elimination might put me over the edge
The small problem are the Cheese Cultures. This is a broad amount of other products. Not just one. It needs to be eliminated and the real products need to be written out.
I watch a lot of RUclips videos, but I don’t ever comment, but I had to here. Don’t ever let these naysayers get to you! I’ve been exploring the carnivore diet all week and I’m getting ready to start it and you’re the only Carnivore RUclipsr that gave me hope that I could actually do this because of the variety that I finally got to see! I think you are awesome and you keep doing you and being real! That’s what people need to see. Thank you for continuing your videos, because I will be watching them!❤
Would love to buy your seasonings but can't do paprika or black pepper. Could you make the Jalapeno Ranch one without the black pepper? It sounds so yummy. White pepper is ok! :)
Yup - cheese is carnivore. I may try going without it for a month to see if there is any difference. I am 78 and have been carnivore for 11 months.n But I do love it. I do the white cheddar to skip the food coloring. Thanks for the info:)
I consider cheese to be appropriate for the carnivore lifestyle. However, be sure to read the ingredients. Not all cheese is created equal. Especially packaged grated or shredded cheese. Most contain food coloring, Annato (derived from the seeds of the achiote tree), cornstarch, cellulose. In these cases, not appropriate for the carnivore lifestyle.
Strictly speaking the word carnivore comes from the word carnivorous. Carnivorous literally means ‘ an animal that feeds on the flesh of other animals’. So milk is not flesh it is milk so it cannot be a truly considered a carnivore food. It is simply just an animal by product.
Milk is a gift from nature for babies to fatten them up fast and help them grow. Cheese is highly concentrated milk. Keep that in mind if you are trying to drop weight.
Love your channel and love your videos. But the momma in me wants to ask you to please shut your closet door and get rid of the empty cardboard boxes. Maybe place a cheapo artificial plant that can be seen over your right shoulder. Moms like to see their kids keep their rooms neat, tidy and, well...pretty. 🙂Oh...and keep up the great work.
No sarcasm here❤️. I just didn’t notice the background as I was so interested in what he was presenting. I would hate to see less of his videos simply because he didn’t have the time to focus on his surroundings. I’m here to learn from him so I guess I for one don’t care what his background looks like. I do understand where you’re coming from though & perhaps your suggestion could help ratings. So grand of you to look out for him. We do need to support one another👏🏻
Cheese has the same amount of carbs as a serving of meat. Less than 1g of carbs. Which means cheese is carnivore, just like eggs, butter, bacon, pork rinds, gelatin, etc. Don't believe me? Do your own research.
Animal products are carnivore. Simple. If you're on carnivore to lose weight, you likely struggle with overeating and dairy has the unfortunate side effect of dampening satiety signals, much like spices do.

That's where I'm at.
Then you can't eat eggs or butter either.

That dip sounds so very good! I'm going to try making it.
Sounds delicious! Would you share the recipe, I’m gonna definitely try it
Was sind Carnivore Chips? Und das Dip Rezept bitte😊
Well said Sir. Thanks for the lesson. I agree that it is Carnivore, but also folks need to just eat what agrees with their system.

If cheese isn't carnivore, I don't want to be a carnivore.🧀
So far I eat a moderate amount of full fat dairy including cheese. And I am still doing well. Every body is different and you have to tinker around with what works best for you.
It is as far as I'm concerned.
Moo🐄
Cheese - and butter, kefir, and yogurt - YES ! All derived from the animal. All yummy & healthy if you aren't lactose intolerant. Maybe people are thinking of the LION DIET where only certain types of meat are consumed?
I over eat when I add cheese, so I keep it as a dessert - a slice or a small chunk as a finisher.
It is an animal product so I go for it! But not milk d/t carbs

I Love them ALL including Cheddar 🧀 & Mozzarella & Swiss Cheese 🫕
Appreciate you post, do you have a video showing how to make all these different cheese recipes 🥰
Yes .... I'm not lactose intolerant. So I eat cheese in moderation.
Love your microphone. ;)

We used to make goats cheese from out own goats. We used plant based Rennet. But I would say if it's not processed then cheese is OK.
The dictionary defention of processed foods says it is .

I eat cheese & plain yougurt
Just ordered the bundle. Thanks for all the Carnivore education so far.
I include it, but I wouldn’t if it negatively affected me. I would also be very disappointed if that was the case because I love it SO much!
I eat cheese and cook with cheeses and heavy whipping cream and half n half, and I consider myself carnivore. I don't eat any vegetables, but I use spices made from plants. It works for me.
Yep, love my cheese and I ferment milk for 36 hours to make l.Reuteri yogurt…. Love it 🥰
“Dirty Carnivore”? Guilty 😊

Moisture in cheddar would typically be around 36% (not 2%).

So geht es mir auch😂
Yes. Cheese is carnivore. But it shouldn’t be consumed in large amounts. I stick to raw cheeses.
I say so long as lactose treats you ok, eat it
If it affects you, don't.
There ya go.
Thanks for the quick break down!!!! ❤❤
Would love to buy your seasonings but can't do paprika or black pepper. Could you make the Jalapeno Ranch one without the black pepper? It sounds so yummy. White pepper is ok! :)
Annatto is used a lot as a spice in Puerto Rican cooking
Do baby lions drink milk? Are baby lions carnivores? Is rennet an animal product? Sounds carnivorous to me.
I looked up raw milk to buy and gee, up popped a notice that raw milk is illegal in Maryland but non citizens (illegal) are not illegal. What?
Yup - cheese is carnivore. I may try going without it for a month to see if there is any difference. I am 78 and have been carnivore for 11 months.n But I do love it. I do the white cheddar to skip the food coloring. Thanks for the info:)
Dairy is so good for you, milk, cheese is so crucial on carnivore.
This video was super helpful 😊❤
It’s up to the individual

Reed looks trim in the face 💪🏼
I eat sour cream, cottage cheese, kefir, cheese and im fine with it. I feel i need them and it would be boring without them
Where can I buy cottage cheese an Kefir without Carbs? Or 1 or 2 carbs? Ty
@@Parker-ch9pl our kefir around 3g carbs. Here in Hungary there are a vast amount of brand to choose from.
2nd week on the carnivore diet love cheese
It never haulted my progress, so why not?

It's definitely not a vegetable.
Carnivore or not everything just tastes better when ya add a lil cheese to it!!! So IMO go ahead and "cut the cheese"!! 😜
🧀 👍 😋
Are nuts out?
I love me some cheese!! 😂❤
Thank you :-)
I gonna eat cheese regardless. Love this style of food education video!

I've lost weight eating cheese on carnivore. I totally believe that cheese is carnivore.
Milk is a gift from nature for babies to fatten them up fast and help them grow. Cheese is highly concentrated milk. Keep that in mind if you are trying to drop weight.
Of course it is.
I eat cheese and my weight loss stops!!!
Rennet is non gmo, not natural
Don’t care I still eat it.
Cheese makes it keto. Shredded cheese is processed
Well the definition of carnivore is anything that comes from an animal so … why make it so complicated
