  • High Friends:
    Please enjoy my 8th flight in Wr. Neustadt of my CJ1 with 3,35m Span, 21kg with full fuel, powered by 2x Funsonic FS 70.
    Start was towards the active rwy of Wr. Neustadt, so I had to perform a "circling takeoff".
    Landing in real heavy and turbulent crosswind with pneumatic brake failure, which I realised only at takeoff, when the brakes did not hold the runup of turbines. So I had to circle the landing run as well, not to overshoot. Problem was with the electronic gear valves which troubled me the whole day and on preflight inspection I got it back to work once, but is dead still then. Replaced in the meantime.

    WOW!!! Looks like the real CJ! Even has the thrust attenuators on the engines!! That is super cool!

    That was some excellent crosswind flying/landing! Wicked beautiful aircraft.

    Love the sound of the engines as it goes. The flyby was rather nice. Looking to build a 60" wingspan electric Beech 18 myself this year.

    A W E S O M E ! ! !
    It's great to see a scale model of a beautiful polished machine!
    I'm so tired of seeing models of warbirds with their ugly paint jobs that the builders try to make even uglier using weathering for "realism".

    High,
    6 liters Kerosin cost about 9 Euros/14,5 USD. These are real turbines, no glow engines. Expect costs around 15.000.- USD if homebuilt. Suggest to begin with somewhat easier.

    This aircraft has been built by the german master F4C Mr. Robert Otte and was his training modell until I grabed it luckily in the bay. Refitted technically and little optical scares and since then it is my No1 bird.

    I really don´t know. 100% Power for take of only, 25-50% Cruise, 50-100% climb. It would not look like the real thing if you "overspeed" this baby. But it is for sure much faster than a .040 (6.5ccm) trainer like aircraft

    i wasnt saying i would build one similar to yours. i wanted to build like a boeing or something, but i suppose you would need turbines for those too lol. yes thats pretty costly. this will be my first rc plane so obviously i will buy like electric or something. where did you learn to fly like that?

  • @anandpsbb
    @anandpsbb 15 лет назад

    how much does it usually cost to fuel one of those planes? also what kind of fuel do they use and what type of fuel does a glow engine use? im thinking of building something like that and want to know associated costs

  • @anandpsbb
    @anandpsbb 15 лет назад

    each engine uses 6 liters??? oh and how much will it cost to fuel a glow engine if thats cheaper?

  • @airnautic
    @airnautic  15 лет назад

    No, 6 Liters for 10 min flight both turbines.
    Glow engine won´t fit.
    Glow engines uses less fuel but is much more expensive, so at the end you won´t save much. Belive me, if you are thinking about fuel cost per flight, you should not consider building one.
