Spent most my life in Hawaii and deep sea fishing. Nice Ono brah! Dat is da best fish! Ono means great eating!
Flying fish, we call Malolo (stupid fish) because they fly, and they’d land on our boat deck but we never tried to catch them on purpose. Just amazing at how far they can fly. We’d watch them deep at sea and time how long they were in the air as our boat spooked a school. I think around 30 seconds was the longest flight we timed and that meant around a hundred yards. They’re amazing. Love taro, love everything from the South Pacific islands, especially the people. Miss the islands terribly. Nobody is more down to earth than people living humbly right in tune with it.

It's the largest raised Coral Atoll on Earth, the water is some of the clearest you'll see. No sand to murk it up, and beautiful swimming pools inside the reef that surrounds the island.Also the first place in the World to give free Wifi to the schools.

Flying fish is a delicacy in the island of Barbados. Very tasty and also has lots of bones. Also, good to use as Tuna bait.
Where I'm from in the Caribbean..the taro leaves are used a lot more than the roots..
I love watch your adventures! It's almost like watching home movies!! It's amazing watching your hosts just use nature to make what they need right infront of you quick as a whip! This was just a great adventure but I would have liked to see more of the flying fish, it's coloring was beautiful🙂👍👍

@brianfraker3407 we have those in all 3 different cultures of Thai, lao Cambodians...all made on their own ways. Even sweet and sour soup similar yo sinigang or Adobo. It's very similar.
There is 2 types of kalo (taro) wetland and dry land I think wetland kalo grows faster because its in water its whole life hence the name "wetland"

I don’t usually crave seafood but I enjoy it whenever i have it. I actually really like canned sardine fish steaks in hot sauce, and those flying fish look so similar to a mackerel or the likes convincing me that flying fish would be very meaty oily and delicious.
