- In this video, I'm going to show you how to root Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Android 12 with Custom Recovery (TWRP) and Magisk. This is a very quick and easy rooting procedure, suitable for beginners.

UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER - 0:51
CONFIRM WHETHER THE BOOTLOADER IS SUCCESSFULLY UNLOCKED - 1:57
FLASHING CUSTOM RECOVERY (TWRP) - 2:30
INSTALLING MAGISK - 5:17
VERIFY ROOT - 5:36
OUTRO - 6:32
Today we are going to root Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 running Android 12 with the latest magisk by using TWRP custom recovery.
The files you are going to need to root this device are linked in the description below.
Make sure you download them on your computer before proceeding with the next steps.
Next important step, we are going to unlock the device's bootloader.By doing this, the device will factory reset.
So make sure you take a backup of your important files before unlocking the bootloader.
Now go to settings. About Tablet. software information. Then Tap Build number for 7 times.Scroll down and click Developer options and click on OEM unlocking to allow the bootloader to be unlocked.
Next power off the tablet. Now hold the volume up and down buttons while connecting the USB on the device to enter download mode.
Once you are in download mode, hold the volume up button until you see the device unlock mode.Then press the volume up button to unlock bootloader.The tablet will restart several times and when it is done, go ahead through the welcome settings until you are on home screen.
Go to settings. About Tablet. Software Information and tab on build number 7 times. you will see the OEM unlocking section is enabled and greyed out, if you can't see it just connect your tablet on WIFI, wait for few seconds and try again. Once you confirm the bootloader is unlocked, power off the Tablet.
Now we are going to flash the official TWRP for this tablet, go ahead and open odin on your computer,click on the AP section and select the VB meta file. Go to the options tab and uncheck Auto-reboot.
On your tablet, hold the volume up and down buttons while connecting the USB.once you are on download mode, press volume up button.Now go on you computer screen and click start.
When the flashing process is passed. Hold the power and volume down button until the black screen appears and quickly hold the power and volume up button until you see the recovery screen.click factory reset.Next, reboot to download mode and select the recovery file on the AP section then Hold the power and volume down button until the black screen appears and quickly hold the power and volume up button until you see the TWRP screen. swipe right to continue.
click install and flash multidisabler file.then go back and click wipe. format data. type yes and click ok.reboot to recovery and flash the magisk app. then finally reboot system. after the reboot, magisk will need to update to complete installation.
when the device boots up, the magisk will be already installed but it will need to update, so make sure you are connected to internet. then Go to play store and install the root checker application to verify root. After installing, open it and click verify root.

I have sm-t860 that is tab s6 wifi i am twrb menu and stuck didn't know how to go back the normal to use my phone or try root it now my tablet it's stuck on twrb menu lol
P.s my android 12 version
Open Odin and put the original firmware files such as AP, BL & CP.
Then flash it.
That will get your tab back to normal. To root it, watch and follow my latest tutorial on rooting samsung.

Ooh. Then it's better to first try to flash a stock firmware and see if it disappears.
Are you sure you bought it from a store? They would never sell a retail mode device, that's only for display. Unless the store hates you for some reason, it is 99% stolen

My tab s6 lite is using android 14. Can I downgrade to android 12 after making root?
If the bootloader version of Android 14 is the same as the one for Android 12 then yes. And it's not mandatory to root your tab to Downgrade as long as it is the same bootloader version.

hello friend i need help i stuck in android recovery, when i try to press reboot to bootloader with power it puts me into fastboot when i try pressing it again but with power x volume down it puts me on a screen says one ui with a yellow alert

This only works for Tab S6 LTE. You can still root your tab S8+ by using the method on my latest video.

i can't seem to get back into twrp recovery after the multidisabler step, couldn't wipe so i had to reboot and it puts me into android recovery instead. i'll try the the other tutorial with the firmware (t860) download.
nevermind, i'm an idiot! 😅 the other guide is for cellular tab s6, so i tried this method a-gain and root access is properly installed! the only difference is twrp icon is not showing on my app list like in the video (perhaps because of the wipe?), so i may have to go back into download mode and flash recovery once more. anyways, just wanted to confirm tab s6 wifi model t860 is rooted with this tutorial. cheers mate!! 🎉

doesn't seem to work on Samsung Tab S6 Lite (Android 12). I've been trying everything, and i can't find any way to root it. It gives me this error on the tablet screen:
vbmeta: Error verifying vbmeta image: OK_NOT SIGNED (3)

this happens whenever i try to flash the vbmeta_disabler.tar into the tablet. Every single time. Any workaround for that? Forgot to mention that i unlocked the bootloader, so that's not the main problem of the process.
There is another way of rooting your tablet. Since i haven't made the tuorial about it yet, please Contact me over WhatsApp, I can help you root it by patching the boot file.

Sorry, but this tutorial won't install TWRP on the Lite version even if you're rooted.
I suggest you use XDA website and search for TWRP for your device.
Have you a similar tutorial for the Samsung Tab SM-T815? Have tried several others on you tube and can never get the option to Enable/Disable OEM settings. Many thanks

Hi I have done everything up to running odin , it gets stuck at setup connection but sometimes it goes through and says 'Can't open the serial(COM) port' or 'Complete(Write) operation failed' . I don't know if its to do with those binary things because I haven't installed them please help.

Through Samsung smartswitch software. I suggest you watch my latest rooting tutorial. It's a different method but you will be able to root your tab.

hey, need help. I followed all steps and used vbmeta. Something went wrong, it says ODIN MODE (AVB FAIL) vbmeta - error verifying vbmeta img (ok not signer); vbmeta - verification disable bit is set. I am stuck at this screen, if i try to reboot the device always goes back to this screen
If you get to this point, connect your tablet to the computer and flash the official firmware.
