How to Update Tab 4 T530 T531 T532 & T535 from official to Android 10 / 11

- Hello my fellow watchers , hope your doing great on this Friday morn..sunny and bright.
In this video a Noob Upgrade of the Samsung T530 Tab4 from stock android 5.1 to Android 11.
In this video our goal is not only the Upgrade , but also make the OS work with a external Ethernet device that will let the Tablet work with a cable instead of
just the wifi chip , .
Why ?
Because the owner don't want Wifi in the house .. yup these people really
exist and a bright idea for those that don't want others on their Wifi connection..
cause as we know , every security can be easily accessed by some people that belief they are hackers and live in your Wifi reach..right?
Anyway , we will use LineageOS 18.1 by Mateo , a bright developer that cared and worked on this device .
Now the video is long because it contains all you need to know if you never did
did this before , and want to learn about doing these kinds of magic on Android Samsung Devices.
What is needed?
A Windows Computer or laptop with the Samsung USB drivers installed ,(Google them) and install , also google a tool called ODIN 3.1.4 and install it.
Now you fixed the recognition of your Tab and the PC ..great job.
Now we need to replace the recovery with TWRP.TAR and not IMG

I have an issue in system set up, in which the screen turns black and the only things i see are the time on the top left and the notification, wifi and battery logos on the top right. Do you have any advices for that?

trying to do the same and while im trying to boot up recovery mode after running the download its stuck on the samsung galaxy pro just there any fixes? and should i just un this process when the tab is fully charged?
vol down and power keep holding until in Downloadmode - remember whats Vol Up en Vol Down - Now press vol down power hold until reboots the switch vol down to Vol up power - release 2 sec after you see the samsung logo - it will go recovery now ! this info should do

Hello Sir, thanks for your great video.
After installing the lineage-18.1-20240424-UNOFFICIAL-matissewifi.zip and the opengapps, the tablet is not booting to android. It is tuck at the Samsung Logo.
I can still reboot in recovery mode however.
In your video you mention an image for older devices (my SM-T530NU) had Android 4 on it before the upgrade process. Can you point me where I could find these images for the older model ?
I notice on the instructions on the xdaforums that it should be at 5.0.2. Can it be the cause ?
I am not sure I had turn on OEM unlock though, am I screwed?

@@channel48 Just to let you know, I was able to reinstall an original image of 5.0.2, then I restarted all the procedure and I finally succeeded installing lineage-18.1-20240424. Thank you again for the video, I just subscribed to your chanel.

Hi Omo , go into settings find software info then build number - tap it until you see developers options enabled - go back settings , and look all below - tap developers options and find OEM unlock turn it on and your ready to start good luck I showed this clearly in the set up video

hmmm let me think - Did you before flashing the rom in twrp select Format data and confirmed by tupong yes - rebooted back into recovery then copy rom to device internal or external .. flash rom and flash gapps reboot - this should fix the problem - please report back

With tar file in AP field.
I was already using twrp 3.6_9 0 tar so there was no error as in your video.
Every thing went smooth.
But after open gapps installation and reboot, it doesn't go past the logo.
i wanna do this and i dont wanna lose bluetooth, and i read if i write down the Bluetooth MAC adddress (settings, device, status, scroll down a bit) i wont lose them, and may have to adjust the wifi 5ghz channel to get it if i cant find it. but im excited, i want to do this so i can use an Ipega controller with it, using it with Moonlight so i can stream from my Gaming PC to the tablet.
Very nice but trying and failing helps understanding the Rom - it’s like a woman 👩 after trying you understand if she good or not good for your mission
I have a t535 but I have a problem. I put 3.0.3-0.tar, I run the 3.2.3-0 image, I do a reboot/recovery and the device dies, black screen forever. I have to do everything again by inserting 3.0.3-0.tar again with Odin3 etc... Can you help me?
find better build Twrp 3.2 or 3.3

Welcome 👋😊 I don’t know your set up did you install gapps .. full or lite ? And how many apps are runnng g on the background? Try killing what your not using and did you do a clean install - format data confirmed by typing yes rebooted back into recovery copied rom to device and flash reboot to system without gapps ? Try these things

Are you sure ? Cause mine worked - did you format DAta and typed YES to confirm? Do that first in Twrp reboot copy rom to internal or sd card and install reboot

Holaaa amigo como esta 👊😊 what gapps did you install ? First boot android without gapps if all works good we go install gapps go for core arm 64 or Arm im not sure if this device is 32 or 64 but go to nikgapps.com follow instructions on website but go for CORE build

Hello buddy, can you give me a word of advise? My T530 constantly freezes on recovery.img in Odin's log when trying to write twrp to device. It stops shortly after clicking the Start button and nothing happens until I remove the cable or turn off the device. I tried 4 different Odin's versions and 3 different twrp versions but the output is always the same. How can I check if I have a locked bootloader (cannot dial, fastboot always looking for device but not recognizing it)? In options I turned the USB debugging on, there is no OEM unlocked option though.

i cant get the PC to recognize the tablet, even after installing the Samsung drivers.

@@channel48 yes, I tried different cables, ports, and another laptop. tried to load from SD card also but getting error E:failed to map file. it was booting fine until I did a factory reset. I just want it wiped and reloaded. Dont care about any data on it.

Thank you for the video. I followed it to a T and upgraded my SM-T530Nu. However, I found out out that every time, I restart the T530, I lost the date and time which reset back to Sep 2022. I found out there is no 5GHz WiFi? Do you know if the Lineage OS 18.1 help to resolve the problem? Thank you again.

Go back recovery and try wiping cache and dalvik - I hope you formatted Data and confirmed with yes and rebooted back to recovery - copied rom and flash

I hope you read my comment, when I try to install TWRP in odin it freezes in recovery.img.
S your cable good ? did you install samsung usb drivers ? try another port and what operating system are tou running on the pc ? use odin 3.13 and up
