I don't have the recovery mode option in Magisk. What should I do? When I proceeded and worked with the generated boot.img file, it shows that it is not official and doesn't flash in Odin.
1. make sure OEM unlocking is on. 2. the boot.img file that you got from your downloaded firmware should match the exact firmware that is currently running on your device.
Just did this with a Tab A9+ The root fails if you let Magisk do it's last reboot, and you'll have to factory reset again. Skipping that step hasn't caused any problems for me

hi, when you root your device you basically acquire full system files and data. It should work with your tab. Only root your device when you want to as if it's not done right, could cause issues like bootloops. No, when you root your phone it's no longer an "official firmware". Thanks!!
Hello, i did all correct but when i do insert boot.tar in odin it fail because of this error: only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed(room) + magisk manager option recovery not showing up (latest magisk manager version)
Hey there. That's not a big problem, reboot your device and go to developer options. Make sure the OEM unlock option is greyed out ( meaning it is unlocked) then try again. It's alright if the recovery option isn't shown in magisk. It will still root the device.

hi, try to continue without selecting the recovery mode option. But take a backup of all your important files in case anything happens. If you enter into any booting issues you can flash the stock firmware again.
It is known that Odin software won't detect the phone if adb & samsung USB drivers aren't installed. But I haven't manually installed samsung drivers, yet odin detect the phone perfectly in download mode. Once you have your firmware, you can continue with the tutorial

Try these things out to see if the OEM option is shown in the developer options: Downgrade android version (you can do this only if your bootloader version is same or higher than the lower android version firmware). This is a bit complicated, and bootloader option will be shown only if it was shown before in that older android version. Reverse dates to week earlier. Connect to the internet. Disable auto updates and restart. If you still can't see it, just root your tab.

hi, so it would have helped better if you mentioned your budget range. However, I personally prefer Samsung tablets in terms of usability. I was using the Samsung Tab S6 LTE version (shown in the video) back then without any issues in calling or texting at all. You don't have to pair it with anything at all as you only have to insert a SIM card. Wi-Fi or LTE/5G models that don't have a SIM card attached can use the call and text on other device feature, which requires a Samsung account and another device. Honestly you can just get the Tab S6 LTE version (or any tablet variant with LTE/5G), set bigger font size and contact the carrier network carrier that you are using to ask if they removed the functionality to make calls/text on SIM card supported tablets. I hope this helps.

I use a Pixel 8 pro. They're not linked in any way. The tablet comes with a phone dialer app and text app. Just like on a phone. I have called my other number twice. 1 other person once. Works fine. The tablet is awesome. I've lots to learn. I have confirmed in developer options that OEM is unlocked on demand. It warns of Security measures will be disabled. I left mine locked. I want no ROM. Except from Stock from Samsung. I found a video how to root any Samsung device that's unlocked. His example was a S6 4g. I'm going to email him about any changes... Thanks for reading...

Congratulations. If you already rooted it and it works fine, then use it as it is. If you want to restore the original firmware and unroot it, then flash.

@@Tech_Happens Just tried v25.2 canary, v25.1, v24 and, v24.3 and still getting the same results. tried 1 x firmware xfv by Frija and both available xfv and xfa firmware from samfw. OEM unlocking is done and confirmed, it remains unlocked and shaded even after flashing all the different firmware one after the other. Note: The first time I tried, I did continue to patch the boot image regardless of the non-existent recovery option. (Not sure if that can cause any harm) and I rooted successfully until I had a problem with Kali NetHunter.

yes. The tools work. All you need is a firmware for your device. I downloaded my firmware from samfrew website and not samfirms. It has no speed limit.

I haven't found any custom kernel made specifically for this tablet. But there are Magisk modules that can be used on any rooted device to improve the overall gaming performance.

What is your device? Try to flash the original firmware to go back to the stock firmware.

i want my mom to use a tablet as a phone by itself because her vision is horrible. what tablets do you know that has 4G/5G connectivity and that can make/receive phone calls WITHOUT pairing the tablet to a samsung phone? i tried looking in reddit forums and i read that the glaxy tab S9+ 5G version cannot be able to make or receive phone calls without linking it to a samsung phone. maybe this has something to do with the network carrier or maybe all the network carriers has this limit? is there a work around for this like installing another OS? ive spoke with samsung support and they are not helpful at all, do you have any theories?
hi, so it would have helped better if you mentioned your budget range. However, I personally prefer Samsung tablets in terms of usability. I was using the Samsung Tab S6 LTE version (shown in the video) back then without any issues in calling or texting at all. You don't have to pair it with anything at all as you only have to insert a SIM card.
Wi-Fi or LTE/5G models that don't have a SIM card attached can use the call and text on other device feature, which requires a Samsung account and another device. Honestly you can just get the Tab S6 LTE version (or any tablet variant with LTE/5G), set bigger font size and contact the carrier network carrier that you are using to ask if they removed the functionality to make calls/text on SIM card supported tablets. I hope this helps.

The tablet comes with a phone dialer app and text app. Just like on a phone. I have called my other number twice. 1 other person once. Works fine. The tablet is awesome. I've lots to learn.
I have confirmed in developer options that OEM is unlocked on demand. It warns of Security measures will be disabled. I left mine locked. I want no ROM. Except from Stock from Samsung. I found a video how to root any Samsung device that's unlocked. His example was a S6 4g. I'm going to email him about any changes...

With latest android update it's not possible. You can root it with twrp if it has runs Android 9.
You can still root it without using twrp.

@@Tech_Happens Just tried v25.2 canary, v25.1, v24 and, v24.3 and still getting the same results. tried 1 x firmware xfv by Frija and both available xfv and xfa firmware from samfw. OEM unlocking is done and confirmed, it remains unlocked and shaded even after flashing all the different firmware one after the other.
Note: The first time I tried, I did continue to patch the boot image regardless of the non-existent recovery option. (Not sure if that can cause any harm) and I rooted successfully until I had a problem with Kali NetHunter.
@@aphelelendaba1918 I see. So you rooted successfully. I also have trouble running NetHunter. It is crashing. This is developer's issue. You can still install Nethunter via Termux commands.
Brother on the first step (0:18) in the settings is the OEM already unlocked and below this stands „bootloader aleady unlocked“ .. i think because yesterday i have try to root my tablet and failed and thats why its still set up like that.. can i Nevertheless Continue normally with the steps or will there be any problems later or can i even skip a few steps because of that??

I haven't found any custom kernel made specifically for this tablet. But there are Magisk modules that can be used on any rooted device to improve the overall gaming performance.
Not a kernel but CorvusOS is by far the best for gaming.
