I do love your videos! They are the perfect balance of reasonable time (as in you don't spend time shilling or talking just because you love the sound of your own voice) and on-point, trustworthy information
I found that design should stay 1/4-1/2” above bottom seam of brim, and make sure “sweat band” inside hat is pulled out, and hat press should be moved back and forth over surface instead of holding it in one place. This is why they recommend the strong grip heat tape to hold design in place. I also found butcher paper taped over design makes moving heat press easier. (and the handle on the form should be on the outside/bottom not inside the hat, makes fitting and removing hat from form easier). Thanks for the video!
I'm sure you have already figured this out, but just so others know, there is a handle on the form so you have better control of the whole thing without burning yourself. Your videos are wonderful! Thank you!
I just unboxed my hat press right along with you! I really enjoy your videos! You make me laugh and I have so much fun crafting right along with you! Thank You!!
The sweatband is supposed to be folded out and you are supposed to be a certain distance from the bottom, use strong heat tape and move the heat press back and forth from what I've seen. I agree with Jackie's comment. Love your videos for the same reason.
So glad I found you as I just got the hat press for Christmas from my husband and have not set it up yet!!! I got the bundle I was so surprise the hats that came with it, I was so happy with everything that came with the bundle! Thank you so much, yes I learn something new.. Liz 😊OH Just Subscribed to you Channel..
I like that you can control the temp and all, but in my opinion, I think the mini press is good enough on small items including hats. But thanks for the great and as always informative video.
Love the tutorials. But then again sometimes I watch just because I enjoys watching you, you’re fun and uplifting and funny when you stress out. But I truly learn a lot from you. Also like the No hat too. But you look good either way. You are truly blessed. Thank you🙏
Thanks so much for the review. I have learned that I can trust your reviews. Just one question, did I see you put the strap/handle inside the hat? Shouldn't the handle on the form be on the other side so that you can grab it to remove it from the hat?
It looks great and it's neat but when I got the mini press for $49, it's hard for me to justify $100 more for something not so much bigger - in your opinion is it $100 more in value than the mini press?
What I would do if I were to use protective paper on any design, I would add about 2 to 3 seconds to the press because the paper creates more of a barrier than if it were use directly on the transfer portion
I got a Cricut hat press a few months ago. Try to do a trucker hat. I used htv font black with the phone app. It didn’t adhere at all. Nothing comes easy for me. I even tried two times.
Loving your real review you the first person I seen made it make sense you once again is the only person who show us that you press the hat upright not laying down or holding it inside your ((hand meaning the hat basic)) in you don't have to rock it back and forth doing the entire pressing... cricut need to give you back your money because you do a great review and help the hat press make sense now I'm actually thinking about getting one
I saw another video where they did not use the craft paper. Also, not sure if you said you saw this or not, but the app lets you choose the type of fabric and vinyl you are using and it already has temps and times.
thank you so much for this video. I also am impressed. Just purchased the machine and my mind is also thinking of all the great ideas I can make. Keep up the great job.
Your tacking recommendation, if you're not using the whole time, will it stick well enough to stick? Going to go make this now! Thank you for your video!
That's really impressive. I've seen a few tutorials on this, and they move the press back and forth like you would do with the mini easy press. I love the way you put colors together. I am really bad at that.
Also, it looks like the handle on the form should be on the BOTTOM, not the top no matter what the instructions do or don't say. Then you can easily pull the form out of the hat.
Naaaa, running a small Etsy shop to where I make tshirts, hoodies and other garments I feel Cricuts presses are lacking ONLY in the sense of pressure. I started out with their easy press line but soon realized that was not a good way to go. Temperature and pressure are key to a successful press on any garment. I changed from Cricuts line to traditional clamshell presses. First starting off with a $490 15x15 clam shell and found that it stopped my garments from coming back with complaints of HTV peeling off slightly in corners way to soon. It’s only bc pressure is only gauged by your arms/hands and weight you apply. I wasted so much money in HTV/garments bc of this but yes I had a lot of successful presses too. After becoming a tad more successful I upgraded my clam shell press from a off brand to a higher professional brand (HIX) which was way more expensive but I wanted to make sure to invest in good machinery if people spent their hard earned money with me. All this being said I feel this hat press by Cricut will or could have the same USER issue with pressure. If you are just making a cap for you or friends I feel this press would be okay. On the other hand I feel if you are going to sell hats, with designs/logos you want to consider I real clam shell hat press so your pressure with the HTV maker is sufficient to their instruction. Ball caps are shaped differently in brand and material. You want a good solid back platen, as that stuffed bean bag looks like it has its limits plus you want good pressure to adhere the HTV/Sublimation. Just thought I’d share my knowledge and losses so others can consider all aspects of this line of hobby or business. ~Cheers
Keep in mind that the subscription to the images/projects on design space don't necessarily mean also for commercial use. There are a number of items that are for personal use only - any licensed product, for example, is not for resale.
Love your videos but by moving it on the hat would it not ghost using infusible or sublimation ink? I personally don’t think it is worth the $100. more than the mini press.
It looks like it did it’s job but I rather get a sublimation printer and a big press as my next purchase. Thanks for all the info like always. You were looking very cute without the hat (well you look cute with it too! 😆)
I'm a new subscriber, Thank you for sharing this video, I really appreciate it! I barely got my Cricut hat press and this video is a cool way to get started. Thank you!!!😎🧢 👏👏
In everyone else’s videos they use the strong grip heat tape to secure the material to the hat because Cricut tells you to move the press side to side when using HTV and sublimation. I concern about the press is that the movement will lead to problems with glue and ghosting issues, but it seems to be a requirement to use the press. I was wondering your thoughts on the movement recommendations since you did not to that in this video.
Could the Teflon sheet be causing issues though when it comes to heating up the transfer? I mean, it’s not a required step and I would think you could use this no problem with out it. It’s a good tutorial but I think I would have like to have seen it without the Teflon sheet. ( I’ve never used one with my htv and had no issues)
My concern with that being walnuts and you place item then sell said item to someone allergic to nuts could this be harmful. I don't know and would like to know.
Always learn something when I watch your videos Michael. I love your honesty and fun videos. I didn’t think I would even consider a hat press either but now I’m at least considering one. Thank you Michael
That looks fun. However it's not for me as I have never had the need to use the hat attachment on my heat press. I do have a need for a round 1 or 2 inch diameter heat press so if anyone knows of one let me know.
There's 50/50 reviews so far. Some people like it and some say it's not worth it. Love your honesty!! Most people had issues sublimating with it.
I do love your videos! They are the perfect balance of reasonable time (as in you don't spend time shilling or talking just because you love the sound of your own voice) and on-point, trustworthy information
Nice hair! First time I've ever seen you without a hat! Thanks for all the information!

Don't forget that you can use that for the inside of your shirts neck labels as well!!!
I'm sure you have already figured this out, but just so others know, there is a handle on the form so you have better control of the whole thing without burning yourself. Your videos are wonderful! Thank you!
This was great! Just got one for my birthday and can’t wait to start using this and seeing what clientele this brings! Thank you for sharing this! 😊❤
I just unboxed my hat press right along with you! I really enjoy your videos! You make me laugh and I have so much fun crafting right along with you! Thank You!!
I thought the same, but I always have fun watching Michael!!!
Love that you do the test trial for us on these new devices
I had a customer ask if I did hats. This video confirmed it's something I can do. This was VERY helpful. As always I'm inspired. Thank you!
The sweatband is supposed to be folded out and you are supposed to be a certain distance from the bottom, use strong heat tape and move the heat press back and forth from what I've seen. I agree with Jackie's comment. Love your videos for the same reason.
Loved your honesty. I just got my hat press. I’m checking out videos. Yours Rocks!
Pure and honest video. Definitely going to fool around with the heat app.
So glad I found you as I just got the hat press for Christmas from my husband and have not set it up yet!!! I got the bundle I was so surprise the hats that came with it, I was so happy with everything that came with the bundle! Thank you so much, yes I learn something new.. The Cricut handle should be on the outside to handle the form better. Just a tip. :)
I like that you can control the temp and all, but in my opinion, I think the mini press is good enough on small items including hats. But thanks for the great and as always informative video.
I think this is the first time I have seen you without a hat on!
Love the tutorials. But then again sometimes I watch just because I enjoys watching you, you’re fun and uplifting and funny when you stress out. But I truly learn a lot from you. Also like the No hat too. But you look good either way. You are truly blessed. Thank you🙏
Michael your hair is gorg and so is the haircut. You are so handsome!!! Thank you for your honest review!
I just received a new hat press , so I am so excited about learning with you
Thanks so much for the review.
Please try a sublimation design.
I got mine a few days ago. Made 5 hats for students. The kids loved them
I’m so happy to see you without the hat! I’ve ordered the Hat Press Essentials Bundle!
I just got one as a Christmas present. I'm so glad I ran across this video. I just subscribed as well. I'm new to Cricut. Thank you.
Thanks for taking the time to prepare this video.
This is amazing. Thank you for sharing. You answered my questions about HTV.
Loved getting to hear your honest opinion! Cricut should be paying you!
Have you thought about taking a Teflon sheet and cutting it into rectangle size pieces to fit nicely on the hat instead of using a whole sheet?
I saw another video where they did not use the craft paper. Also, not sure if you said you saw this or not, but the app lets you choose the type of fabric and vinyl you are using and it already has temps and times.
I noticed on launch day that they rubbed the hat press side to side at times instead of holding still.
thank you so much for this video. I also am impressed. Just purchased the machine and my mind is also thinking of all the great ideas I can make. Keep up the great job.
Can someone tell me what is the voltage of this hat press? Specifically this hat press and not other cricut products. Thanks
Thanks for the info Michael! Have a FAB weekend!!
From my experience with the teleon, is that the teflon sheet something is in the way of getting the heat from the HTV to the product itself.
The heavy duty heat tape works better than adding the teflon sheet, I got good results with this. I love the hat press.
Your tacking recommendation, if you're not using the whole time, will it stick well enough to stick? Going to go make this now! Thank you for your video!
Is this the first hat press Circut has made or are there any older models?
That's really impressive. I've seen a few tutorials on this, and they move the press back and forth like you would do with the mini easy press. I love the way you put colors together. I am really bad at that.
True to form Micheal another well-done explanation video thanks for doing it.
Has anyone used this as a mug press by chance I wonder?
Also, it looks like the handle on the form should be on the BOTTOM, not the top no matter what the instructions do or don't say. Then you can easily pull the form out of the hat.

I ordered a hat press bundle. I got the bundle materials, but no press and form. Still waiting.
Could we use inkjet printer images for cricut hat press???
Just curious

Thanks Michael! Great tutorial as always! Your enthusiasm has me enthused! maybe I’ll take the leap.
It looks really fun to use. But I'm not much of a hat person. I'd love to know if there are other uses besides making hats.
Probably can use it on sleeve on a shirt since it's a rounded edge on the sleeve it self . Hope that made sense.
I have just brought this product so its good to see your video thank you !
Hope you’re doing great and Morgan is too!! This machine is calling to me but I have no idea why 🤣💯🙋♀️
Love how you handled the new hat press. You made it look easy.
Will you. be trying it with Sublimation? Don't think it is for me, as I don't do hats much.
OMG! I am so impressed with this new hat press! Thank you for another wonderful tutorial video.
How accurate is the heat?
That makes it very quick and easy. P.S loving the no cap look Michael.
I will now buy the hat press. I have been using the mini oress but am not confident in the temperatures.
I have been so intrigued by the hat press, but I am just not sure I will make enough hats to make it worth it. This just makes me want this more.
Awesome unboxing. So nice to get an unpaid, unbiased opinion!! Thank you, Michael, you are the best, my friend!!
Actually considering adding hats to my merge ensemble. Thanks for the video.
I was wondering about the hat hat press. After your video I am a bit intrigued 🤔. Thank you!
Love your videos but by moving it on the hat would it not ghost using infusible or sublimation ink? I personally don’t think it is worth the $100. more than the mini press.
can it be used for iron on patches?
It looks like it did it’s job but I rather get a sublimation printer and a big press as my next purchase. Thanks for all the info like always. You were looking very cute without the hat (well you look cute with it too! 😆)
I’m literally thinking about getting this bc my hat attachment has ruined so many (well 3) hats and this looks like it’ll work so much better!!
I don't think I've ever seen u without your hat u have great hair
Thanks bro! EXCELLENT content 👌🏽… first time I didn’t yell into my phone “HURRY UUUUP”😅
Does it work on non Cricut hats
Me too! He always brightens my day!
That is pretty cool! Thanks for sharing!
I'm a new subscriber, Thank you for sharing this video, I really appreciate it! I barely got my Cricut hat press and this video is a cool way to get started. Thank you!!!😎🧢 👏👏
Wow I was not expecting this to be cool. Great tutorial
In everyone else’s videos they use the strong grip heat tape to secure the material to the hat because Cricut tells you to move the press side to side when using HTV and sublimation. I concern about the press is that the movement will lead to problems with glue and ghosting issues, but it seems to be a requirement to use the press. Thank you for this review. It has been much more useful than other people who reviewed this item.. I just may go and buy it now😍
Great video. Thank you so much for sharing.

It’s a good tutorial but I think I would have like to have seen it without the Teflon sheet. ( I’ve never used one with my htv and had no issues)
I think is spcially helpful if you do Sublimation.
Michael, another great tutorial. Thank you.
You are sooooooooo helpful thank you so much for your time. It really helps
hi
will the Cricut Hat do patches
where can I buy one in New Zealand ?
My concern with that being walnuts and you place item then sell said item to someone allergic to nuts could this be harmful. I don't know and would like to know.
Will this work with puff vinyl, sister brick and some of the other vinyls that need higher pressure?
Thank you for another great tutorial! I loved the svg file you used!
So happy you’re doing this. Would love one. Thank you
Always love your honest reviews. For those watching and who have not yet subscribed..what ya waiting for! Doesn’t get much better than this!
Thanks for doing this video! Very helpful!
Always learn something when I watch your videos Michael. I love your honesty and fun videos. I didn’t think I would even consider a hat press either but now I’m at least considering one. Thank you Michael
Looks like a fun machine to have. I wonder if you can use it for purses!!!!
I would like to see other ways to use it. You can only have so many hats
Love your videos!! LMBO non-stop! TFS the hat press.
Great video, this is my next purchase!
Also you can cut the cover sheet to fit the hat
That looks fun. However it's not for me as I have never had the need to use the hat attachment on my heat press. I do have a need for a round 1 or 2 inch diameter heat press so if anyone knows of one let me know.
Thank you for this review!!
Great review! Thanks!!!
Thank you for such a helpful video.
