Nice meeting you at Rezdôra James! Not sure if you remember me but I came up to you and said hi after you finished your meal! I also agree with you on the tiramisu, it’s delicious. So delicious in fact, that although I was there with my wife on our anniversary, I did not want to share but was forced to for the sake of my marriage🤣
@@JamesnuHey James, if you liked Rezdoras version, Eatalys soho location serves up a mind blowing rendition. I find Eataly Flatiron to lack the quality of their Soho location which was absolutely impeccable.
I'm a pasta-holic. Those portions with the exception of the last from the tasting menu seemed super small. That salad looked so good, I want to go to the market and get what I need to make one tonight. For me, my favorite pasta restaurants here have gotten out of hand with their prices. I make my own at home and enjoy them a lot. Almost $200 for pasta and some vino is over the top for me, but then it is NYC. The rent alone has to cost the owner a fortune these days. Nice job on the review James, as always. Cheers

Excellent video James. As someone who has lived in NYC for 25 years, a foodie and amateur cook, I find ordering from Italian restaurants, even at the Michelin level to be disappointing. Luckily I live in a neighborhood with several Italian import shops… I know it comes across as overtly bragging but there’s nothing on the Don Angie or Rezdora menu I can’t make at home. Hi James, Thank you for your review of Rezdora. Another day another food adventure with you James and I really enjoyed this restaurant. The pasta was so delicious looking and the variety was so wonderful. I not only enjoy your reviews very much but I also learn something every time I watch you channel. Thanks again. One of the things that really sets restaurants apart in this upper tier is the service, I will gladly go back to a restaurant and spend that kind of money if I know the service is up to par. For me, spending this kind of money on a tasting menu that has no explanation means I would expect the server to explain the dishes as they are served. The element of surprise is great while youre waiting for the next course, but once it arrives, tell me what to expect. Rezdora is still on my bucket list of places to go, everything looked perfect when it come out.
@LordDonnington725 Indeed, good service can really make for a memorable dining experience. The servers did explain each dish, but I can't be sure I heard everything since I was also focused on filming, so that's why I have some more general descriptions of the dishes.
Great video! Rezdora is on my list. Place looks great...but the price...woof. Hey have you ever been to Traif in Williamsburg? They have a 7-8ish course tasting menu for $56 bucks...INCLUDING 2 dessert courses. Strongly recommend it.
Thank you! Yeah, I've heard of Traif. It looks like an interesting place. I'll definitely have to check it out sometime. Thanks for the recommendation!
I love this place as well, I ate there. The only problem I had were that the prices were a little high for the amount that you got. But the quality was amazing. I live for pasta and make tons of my own types and shapes. It was an awesome experience, but I walked out of there for a couple hundred dollars for two people, and I was hungry.
LOL! "I feel for that chicken"! And Pi$# Off my dessert... I'm a big fan of Stefano and it's the one place in NY that I'd love to go to if someone ever fixes that city.

That's probably the most expensive 1 star Italian restaurant in NYC. Thankfully the other starred establishments are slightly more affordable, but they at least give larger portion sizes.
Prices for me, being an Italian are absolutely unreal. You simply can't charge 100 USD + + for 30 grams of the most basic pasta dishes. And the wine? A full bottle of the one you had here in Italy retails for 15 USD tax included, you have been charged 20 + + for a glass. Dude, three dinners like that and it's already worth to catch a flight and come eating the real thing here in Italy! 200 usd is the price of a 2 ** restaurants with a proper wine pairing.
I know what you mean, but NYC is probably the most expensive place on earth, but even this restaurant is more costly compared to other Italian restaurants in the city. It was still great food though.
@ I get it, just cracks me up that’s all. You could’ve said the actual name for education though and then a descriptor of tortellini in a some type of broth.
Your video is excellent and while the food looked good, I do not think I am sold on the concept of a tasting pasta menu. I would rather eat one pasta dish of sufficient size and taste.
