they actively left out the part where johnny recognized daniel's victory at the end guess they wouldn't have been able to milk six seasons if they left that part i mean, they have acknowledged even the random goon from kk3, but an important part of johnny's character was left out
@@zekeiwa5837I think it’s more so that Kreese tried to kill him and made it focus more on the negatives of that moment, made him probably second-guess his sportsmanship and then the other things falling apart in his life sent him into the downward spiral but he blames the kick for setting it into motion
Zabka actually had no prior karate training, he became interested during the film and earned his black belt long afterward. This was supposed to look like a mismatch/underdog story, and show how simple, cold efficiency beats flashiness and arrogance.
@@tyl8770 Its just a movie , daniel is athletic , he is good at soccer and he practice basic karate from books and tv programes , he bled johnny's nose at the beach with no karate experience when he was distracted

chozen from season 2. Even Barnes was better than Johnny. Well to be real honest with you Darell Vidal who was one of the guys in the Movie and a real black belt. He was my karate sensei assistant back in the 1980s when I was in karate in Chino CA. Matter of fact I fought against him in practice and he did one slap kick to my temple and my knees bucked and I went down fast. Embarrassing lol
@@jacobgordyn Alright, then you explain what it is because it looks more like it was aimed at the side of the torso, which isn’t always a scoring area in some tournaments. Plus, the exact rules for the All Valley Tournament might specify that the area in question isn’t a valid scoring zone, blocked or not. Either way, it’s not a point, especially since Johnny loses a point anyway. So, what’s the point of this question? Blocking makes the most sense; like maybe the camera angle not catching something you didn’t see.
Johnny lost the match because he got heartbroken that his Sensei Kreese don't trust his skills now look how in last he just gives up to the Crane Kick, still you can see he beat Daniel clean, after 2 points carefully see, Daniel was first to attack and Johnny hit the punch on face of Daniel, means third point and Johnny is the winner (To be reminded to all the critics that, the point was made before LaPusso knee attacked before Crane Kick), LaPusso is never able to defeat Johnny. It was just the heartbreak from his Sensei which made Johnny Lawrence lost.
You forgetting that Johnny had trained for years as opposed to Daniel who only trained for a matter of months and STILL won. Karate Kid 2 Daniel destroys Johnny easily. Not to mention miyagi do > cobra Kai.
Oh wow. Watching this for the first time since I was a kid I realize that crane kick was pretty clumsy and dumb looking and was not the finale I remember it being at all 😂
I still can't believe how after 40 years this story got so far. This is pure gold.
Is incredible ❤ They are magic.
To see Daniel & Johnny as friends now is special
Agreed along with chozen and barnes too love it
They're now are adult men, who can solve their problems without fists. They're could be friends at youth , but never talked as men
@@g-gurda Without fists ?? very funny
I wish Johnny mentioned to Miguel about sportsmanship when he didn't tell him that he said good match to Daniel
He grew up believing that the kick was illegal and ruined his life. Of course he didn’t
It feels like Cobra Kai universe it didn't happen. They'll be some payoff at the end when Miguel wins Sekai Tekai.

Zabka's moves are so smooth. You can tell who really knows karate vs. who is an actor.
Zabka knows martial arts in real, Ralph doesn't.

7:58 I always imagine Daniel crane kicked Johnny's teeth out.😂
The guy Johnny beat in his semifinal was an actual black belt. You could tell he knew karate.
Name?
Boy, Johnny didn't give much of a bow, now did he.
Even Bobby felt bad doing what he did to Daniel
This fight was my childhood
Same here
When Bobby kicks Danny's knee, why didn't Daniel use sand the floor to block?

Tommy in the back😂
So deliberate face contact was not allowed unless your do crane kick.
Later in life, Tommy himself gets in the body bag, R.I.P Rob Garrison .
You can’t say that bro…
@@CryptoChronix I'm talking what happened in Cobra Kai mate!
Yeah, showing him getting into the body bag in cobra kai was clearly a wink from the producers regarding his most iconic line in the movie
Why wasn't that a point 6:55
I like the little red tassel on the back of the belt. They should have used that in cobra Kai at the sekai takai tournament.
“ Yo Adrian, we did it! “
Dont' forget: this film was directed by John Avildsen, Rocky's director
Ah pat morita you are legendary

Great Kip Up by Johnny!

Danny blocked and was brought to the floor with no follow through. I do sparring myself and refs don’t always catch everything.
