Tidying up The OVERGROWN MESS at the Back of this Backyard!

Hi everyone in this video I am tackling the end of this garden which is one of my regular customers. Unfortunately the end of the garden has been neglected for a while as I don’t get enough time to spend there.
In this video I finally get it cut back and tidied up letting more light into the end of the garden.

Seeing you use those electric pruners gave me the idea to get some for my hubby.
You then inspired me to ‘borrow’ them and prune back a bush I’ve wanted to get at for ages, so thank you.

Yes it’s a bit different but is quite handy as the main top bit feeds flail knives so will chew through stuff a chipper blade will not! 😄

good to see someone using the right gear, so many people up ladders using a standard chain saw, heavy and needs two hands to operate, I think the power pruners are the new thing, I have a ryobi stet, really pleased with them, I also have the extendable lopper version, although slow and heavy, I still think they will prove useful, especially on awkward trees. I want to get the mini chainsaw now, to complete the set, I looked at a top handled chainsaw, but think its over kill for what I do. I love these type of jobs when they go right. what trousers are they? i presume chainsaw ones, Mine are very heavy and the braces are a nightmare, I like the bib and brace style

Yes I love the power pruner’s, like you say they are a bit slow but really save the strain on your hand when cutting larger stems.
I do have chainsaw trousers on and could do with some new ones. These I got years ago and are a bit to bulky.

I've been lovingly looking after my 40yr old bay growing in a pot afraid to cut it back incase I kill it, looks like I should give it a good hard prune to get more growth, bet that it smelt great chipping it.

Doing a great job trying to clean the chaos, I truly think some homeowners haven't a clue how to plant a garden that can be maintained and look beautiful, would be very frustrating for me to attempt controlling all the ivy and the growth from the back neighbour's plants, yikes!

Yes it’s is handy to have. It is fairly heavy but I can move it most places and just about get it up ramps into the van on my own!😅👍
