Big Border Tidy up where Ivy is becoming Overgrown on a Pine Tree

This video is me tidying up a border where Ivy is taking over a small pine tree and there is also an overgrown rose bush to sort out!
This is one of my ongoing regular gardens.

Hi Mark, that was me who made that remark! That is one down side of the milder winters and heavy rainfall in England, lots of chances for vines to grown like mad, gaining a good foothold over shrubs and trees. I planted ivy under a scotch pine, but with our cold winters and far shorter growing season, it has never been a problem. It looked very cold there, I could see your breath. Must have been the first job of the day. Hope you are having a good weekend.

It was the second job of the day, I had already done a big grass cutting job.
It wasn’t actually too cold just very damp!

It’s not fair. Just as you said “maybe the weather will brighten up” it starts drizzling. The weather gods are not your friends.😢. The ivy was really entrenched. Good job getting it all out!

Hi, Another great days work. Ivy is just a pain, like the brambles..I do enjoy watching you clear it out though...lol It wet and cold here. I rather a nice sunny day to potter in the garden. Only normally use compost when planting sometimes use a bit of mulch in some gardens 😊👍
