  • Hi everyone this is a quick mid week video of some work that I started today.
    Most of you will recognise this garden. I started clearing an area where brambles have started to take over!
    Hope you enjoy the beginning of this clearing job.
    🙂👍

    It’s so hard to get any work done when it rains all the time. That’s what sucks about England. Beautiful gardens though.

      Watching from Cedar Hill,Missouri. Great job. Is pulling those branches bad for your shoulders?

    • @mdgardenservices7819
      @mdgardenservices7819  5 месяцев назад +2

      I was trying to be careful and mostly using my left shoulder for strength when pulling.

    Great job, looks a lot neater. I agree that end one needs to be taken down, it will look a lot nicer and let some sunlight in there for the others. Nothing worse than brambles and rain. It seems all it does is rain here and there. I did my hydrangeas the other days, briars all in between the branches. Take care of your shoulder and back, nothing worse than working in pain. Saying my prayers for healing and relief for the pain. I do pressure point and it actually works, I was totally shocked at what just a little pressure on certain nerves will help with the pain. Have a good week my friend, looking forward to part 2 !!!!!!!!!

    Hola Mark como esta¡! Tengo un jardín pequeño solo con plantas en macetas y cuesta limpiarlas, mantenerlas e ir cambiando a otras de mayor tamaño cuando están mas crecidas. Tengo solo un limonero y un poco apestado 😊 Al ver esos espacios grandes y con arboles grandes y frondosos me doy cuenta que ese si es trabajo.
    Ojalá se encuentre mejor de su hombro a cuidarse mucho ya que es invalidante el dolor.
    Saludos cordiales para usted y su familia desde Santiago de Chile 🇨🇱🙋‍♀️🫂👏👏👏👏

      Yes pots become harder to deal with the bigger the plants get!
      Thank you my shoulder is slowly getting better! I think my back was aching more after crouching around underneath this lot! 😅😊

    Lovely job. I am curious. I am an old lady, and I learned how to renovate old shrubs by pruning to the ground one third of the oldest branches of a shrub. Next year, do the same, prune one third of the oldest branches. Third year, so the same, prune one third of the oldest branches. So in the fourth year, no growth is older than three years old. This keeps shrubs from getting too big for their space, and doesn't cut off the blooms, no matter what time of the year you prune. But I never see anyone doing this anymore. Do you know why this isn't used anymore?

    • @mdgardenservices7819
      @mdgardenservices7819  5 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks
      You are correct that is a very good method for a lot of shrubs. Unfortunately these had been like this for so long!
      It will get better 👍😊

  • @brotoubrotou3164
    @brotoubrotou3164 5 месяцев назад +1

    Why don’t you have a large tarp to load on several or more branches at a time and drag it to where you’re dragging it to and save yourself a million trips. Doesn’t make any sense to me to take them single file.
    Nice start though

    • @mdgardenservices7819
      @mdgardenservices7819  5 месяцев назад +1

    How long does your battery last on a job like this?

    • @mdgardenservices7819
      @mdgardenservices7819  5 месяцев назад +1

      This job which was about an hour used about half the battery.
      The battery I was using was an ap 200 which is a smaller lighter one, so is handy in this little saw. 🙂👍

    • @brotoubrotou3164
      @brotoubrotou3164 5 месяцев назад

      @@mdgardenservices7819. Speaking of your saw-what brand and size is it. It went through those bigger branches like butter. Some mini chainsaws seem to struggle.

    • @mdgardenservices7819
      @mdgardenservices7819  5 месяцев назад +1

      It’s a stihl msa 161 with a 10 inch bar. Great little saw😊👍

  • @Natoyarose
    @Natoyarose 5 месяцев назад

    Don't think there are any rules for when thou shalt or shalt not use a battery saw. Ergonomically I think lighter is better and, as long as it does the job who cares
