- Hey Y’all, Happy Friday!
Today I’m sharing my at home solution for blending these grown out roots! I’m also adding a few more light pieces to freshen up and achieve the balayage look. I have not had any time, nor resources (babysitters lol), to get to the salon. Any time these days that I can get away has been so hard to plan to stay there for a few hours to get my hair done. It all comes along with the job I guess. 🥲😂
However, I have a wedding to attend this weekend and couldn’t justify going the way my hair was looking. These roots needed a nice smudge and some tlc... ASAP!
The products I’m using in this video are both from Loreal. However, I still love and stand by my favorite store bought bleach which is Revlon. I’ve just never found a store bought bleach that lifts the way that does, and it always gives me a nice cool tone after I get the purple shampoo in there too. I have also never seen any major damage when using my Revlon bleach! I only chose the Loreal this time because that is all they had in the store I was in. It did a great job of lightening up a lot of the highlights, but the ones around my face (money pieces) didn’t lift the way I wanted, so I ended up just smudging the root of those, too.
All in all, I’m so happy with how it turned out and I LOVE the Loreal root product I purchased! The applicator was so amazing and so easy for getting the product exactly where I wanted it! Highly recommend!
It may all be different for your hair though, so feel free to try whichever one of these you want to or whichever you have access to. If your hair is already light brown or dirty blonde then either bleach should pull just fine! Just be sure to follow all the directions in both of these boxes for your best results.
I’m so happy to be able to share these tips with y’all because I know how hard it can be to make plans for ANYTHING when you have little babies! We have been fighting sicknesses left and right and I’m just so ready for everyone to be better and be able to get back to normal!
I hope this video can give you a little bit of help and relief until your next time in the chair. Lord knows I can’t wait to get back in it too and be pampered! But, this will do just fine for now. 🤗💜
I hope y’all have a great weekend and I’ll see you next Wednesday at 2 pm!
XOXO KW

If you go to the hair supply store whether it be cosmoprof or sallys you can get the lightener and a higher volume developer that will prevent the yellow or orange from not breaking through that barrier of the underlying pigment. Also, you never want to overlap on the lightened pieces, this will prevent breakage after processing. Hope this helps! However it looks amazing!
How does the dark tint not run into the blonde when you are rinsing it off?
Perfect timing for me!! Soooo relating to everything you said!! Thank you- you’re much appreciated!! 🤗🤗
No problem girl! I KNOW how hard it can be! And we’d be looking a mess if we couldn’t take matters into our own hands! Lol 💗
@@KASEYWHICHARD 😂👍🙂
Go girl looks great. ❤
You have a beautiful hair!! And you’re gorgeous as well. Thanks for the tutorial and showing it doesn’t have to be so complex👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you so much for the kind words! Good luck!
Thank you for the tutorial! I think i'm going to try it out. I'm not a mom, but i'm dirt broke, so buying hair dye is a whole lot closer to fitting in my budget than going to a salon
You can do it!
Nice!! Looks awesome
Who's watching after already attempting it and f-ing their hair upppp
LOL oh no girl let me come help 🤣🤣🤣
You are great better then some salons.💋
I hope it was helpful to you! Thank you 💗
Keep those hair videos coming pleeeease😊🙏 Your hair is STUNNING! What is your natural level?
Where did you get this brush from to color your roots?
How do I do my root blend to let my grey grow out
You did great. Very brave too. But it turned out very nice! I'm working up the nerve myself!
Thanks, Dana! You can do it! 😻
Looks great! No toning?
You did a great job !

THANKYOU so much for posting
Glad this was helpful!
I got bad roots since Covid. Thx much for the advice.
Thanks for following, Sherry! I just emailed you back. 💗💗
do you recommend this or the cap you did >?
For highlights, the cap!
Do yo use a toner, other than the shampoo?
What colour have you used on the roots? Is that a 6 shade or darker?
And what did you use to tone it ash so nicely? Mine currently looks a little too brassy 😆
I have a toning video up with what I use sometimes! Also heavily stick to a good purple shampoo like Fanola!!
Hi. I ran across this video today looking for a way to try to touch up my hair. I noticed you said your stylist is in Jacksonville. Would that be Florida? I live in Jax and I'm looking for a good stylist. Could you recommend your's to me?
Christina Lucas in Jax is the best!!
May i know the color of your hair? Cause I'm thinking if it's ash blonde?
Helpful tips....thank you!😇
Thanks for stopping by, Lori!! I appreciate all your kind words!!
What’s your natural hair level?
I’m so sad. I got my hair done today and she gave me tiger stripes and I paid $260 😩
But is dark 😮
