I was having an issue with my headphones where the battery was showing 10% but wouldn't charge. When I plugged them in to charge, the light would stay on for 20 seconds or so, then go off. I ended up doing the reset and factory reset about 10-15 times and they are now charging and I am up to 100%. Thank you for this video. I wanted to leave this comment in case others were experiencing the same issue. It may not work at first, but keep trying.
Bro thanks a lot it helped :D! But I found the issue I think. If you use a quick charger with a high Ampère output it won't charge. If you use 2 A or less when charging it should work. Because the battery in this headphone is 3,7 V and 1 A. The difference is to big so it stops the charging I think. Hope this helps other people.

Tod Syp yeah wish I knew that before I had it charge over night. I called Sony and they want me to send them the headphones and they’ll be sending a new pair. I’ll prolly only plug it into my computer cause that’s low amps and it always on.

(contacted the retailer to send them for repair)... done another 3 second reset... and it finally worked. In my case, the red led indicator, which lights up when the charging process starts, stayed on for about 2-3 second and then turned off.
I had the exact same problem: the led indication of charging process would go off after 2-3 seconds. I had to do several resets, short and long. Thank you @DreThePlug

It worked! My headphones were showing 10% and saying low battery. I had them on the charger for 2 hours prior to that. Reset the headphones. The light on the charger was still going off but when I turned the headphones back on they were now showing fully charged.

I've had issues with these headphones from day one with the cheap design breaking. Then I had the battery issue. While the noise canceling and sound are great, the build quality is absolutely fn garbage.

Ok so i had A BIG ISSUE with this hesdset where it would just flash abnormal charging as the Led indicator... I charged it from a longer usbc to usb c cable from my pc to my headset for months.... Though all of a sudden it didnt want to anymore. The factory ornauick reset didnt work. So after looking all over the place i used the factory oem cable ( the short one) which worked.... And i charged it to full. After that it could be charged with the long cable again... So after some experiments i can charge my headset with any cable basically as long as the battery% is above 20-30% which is super weird. Since my usb c to c cabke is a propper ful spec one and not some cheap usb 2.0 in usb c form Your video helped out a lot so youll get a like
I ordered these on Amazon. Pressed the power button, didn't turn on. So I connected it to an adapter to charge, the charging light didn't turn on. It did not turn on , even on changing the wire, the adapter, even on connecting to my dell laptop. Why do you think that is?

Father America same here. This is the second pair that stopped charging. Sony couldn’t fix the first pair so sent a replacement, which after 3 months the same thing happened so these are being sent back as well. It’s crazy, such a high end product with such a massive flaw!
My charging LED was not coming on at all. I did the reset per video, and I also used some sort of plastic toothpick to clean out the USB-c connector. Not sure if it was the combination of reset and cleaning out of the USB-c female connector or what, but the phones are up and charging again. Many thanks.

Where is this AC adapter? Just bought Sony wh-1000xm3 and I see only USB type C without AC adapter. 300$ and I cannot figure it out how to "fast" charge this damn device. The USB Type C cable is 5 cm long that does not long enough to connect to my PC if I place the heapdones on my table. This is my first and last Sony headphones that I buy.

Thus, i used the original short black cable for 5 minutes for charging. Next, the headphones worked with 10% battery. So, i recommend using the original cable if overcharged.
Hey dude thx. I finally able to turn them on but my power button on, my anc button, touch volume and skip aren't working. The only thing that's working right now is when I place my palm to have ambient sound on
It's charges and sounds great but the only way I can turn them on is using the type C USB and factory reset to even turn them on. They were working fine then it just stopped while I was using them

Bought mine in July, 3 months later they wouldn’t charge. Sent to Sony and they couldn’t fix it so they sent a new pair. Exactly 3 months later it happened again. Sony has a MAJOR issue and so many have the same problem. It’s not worth the money.
Im currently going through the same issue, with the m4 though. This is ridiculous. Its crazy because i had these for a WEEK and they just wont charge. I had the m3 and was experiencing the same problem but because i had a warranty on those i was able to get these. Funny thing is with the m3, charging wasn't an issue until last week (the week I traded it in for the m4) and i had it for 2 years. Idk what's going on im assuming its a firmware issue idk but its pissing me off... An hour ago i called sony to help factory reset them. They were charging, i come back 40 minutes later the red light is gone. I turned them on it said "10 percent, please charge" i turn them off and back on it says battery at 30 percent... like come on sony 350 for wat?

Hey man, i have them for 1 week, I used them for about 8 hours with extreme and equalizer activated and then they were at 10%, is it normal because they are new? Today I charged them with a 2.4A charger and they only charged 1h40min the red light went out, they say they are 100%

That's normal operation hours so you're just fine, the rating of 28 hours is the headset being used at 50 to 60% volume.. it's just like a mpg test with a car, give 2 different people the same vehicle and I guarantee you they will have completely different gas mileage, it's all about how the device / product is used lol

I have Sony xb900n I love these headphones but recently they started acting up. I go to charge them and after 2 minutes they stop charging completely. 😒
I connected the c usb cabel, no light from the charge indicator. After some frustration and putting all things in the box... i thought, how would they sound connected to the jackplugs audio. Ok. I tried another charger and cable and it starts to charge. Now it even charge connecting to the previous cables and charger. Wierd.
I have no clue what is wrong with my headphones whenever I plug them in they just start blinking read and don’t charge I cannot reset them no matter what I do and I tried paring them with the Sony headphone app but it wouldn’t connect to the app. I am seriously thinking of just trashing them and getting a pair that works right.

DreThePlug yo I connected them to the app and was about to update them until it said not enough battery for update and when I backed out it un-glitched the battery level and said the true percent which was 30
@@DreThePlug i just checked my receipt and it's already 2 and 3 months old now and the warranty is 2 years. Time flies so fast. I guess, replacing the battery will do the trick.

Haven't worn mine in forever and mine are stuck at 10% even though plugged in and thought had been charging for 8hrs
Same issues with my XM4 but when i plug them to charge and red light turns on ,i hold the power button for 5-10 seconds and this works for me

Can anyone help me for wh1000xm4 model?. I purchased this headphone few months ago and now I am facing charging issues. When I plugged in the red led light gets on and within few seconds it goes off I have tried all the possibilities to resolve this issue with apple and samsung adaptor also i tried charging with sony wire which is included in the box and other premium wires too. Headphone is updated to the latest firmware. When i on and then turn off the device it is charging and the red light is on continuously but this should not be the case as it was working properly earlier in first go. Please help.
My xm3s won’t turn on, the 2 different methods don’t work. Although if I connect the headphones through my ps4 wired they word perfectly. Any advice?

Mine was just 3.5 yrs long and I recharged it over night. All of sudden not knowing what went wrong, I CAN'T TURN IT ON ...

Just to maybe help some people... I never let my headphones run completely out of charge.Two days ago I did, and now they wont charge. I have yet to try the fixes.

That's normal operation hours so you're just fine, the rating of 28 hours is the headset being used at 50 to 60% volume.. it's just like a mpg test with a car, give 2 different people the same vehicle and I guarantee you they will have completely different gas mileage, it's all about how the device / product is used lol

I have Sony xb900n I love these headphones but recently they started acting up. I go to charge them and after 2 minutes they stop charging completely. 😒
I connected the c usb cabel, no light from the charge indicator. After some frustration and putting all things in the box... i thought, how would they sound connected to the jackplugs audio. Ok. I tried another charger and cable and it starts to charge. Now it even charge connecting to the previous cables and charger. Wierd.

I have no clue what is wrong with my headphones whenever I plug them in they just start blinking read and don’t charge I cannot reset them no matter what I do and I tried paring them with the Sony headphone app but it wouldn’t connect to the app. I am seriously thinking of just trashing them and getting a pair that works right.

Funny enough my headphones dont charge with the cable they came with, but they do charge off of the cable that came with my one plus 7t.
The charger is defective you can get a new one if you contact them

This happend to me but it seems like it's because I plugged it into my OnePlus quick charger.. When connecting to a normal charger the red light seems to stay on

I had this same issue. Mine would not charge, the light comes on for seconds then turns off. The factory reset seems to have worked for me ☺️
