The inclusion of NFC is such an underrated feature. Love being able to just tap the back of my phone to the ear cup and boom. Turns on and connects straight away.
@@maltcrunch That's because Apple limited what you can do with NFC. On Android you can use it for anything, on iPhone unfortunately Apple thought it was a good idea to restrict it to just Apple Pay.
Hey Mark, I have the Sony 1000 xm3. They are headphones of an exceptional class. The noise canceling works excellent. Unfortunately, when using the cable on TV, it is not possible to control the sound on the headphones. Then you have to buy a bluetooth dongle or extension cable with volume control. And when using the cable connection, it is also not possible to activate noise canceling.
I haven't verified this myself as I don't use mine outdoors, but I'll give it a shot this week. Canada is getting cold now so it should be an easy test. Thanks for the heads up!
I doubt it. It's probably a physical problem, and an annoying one too. I still don't regret my purchase, but I now seriously wish the XM3's had the physical buttons of the QC's.
I dont think you mentioned the NC optimizer feature. This occurs when you hold the NC button for about 2 seconds. The website says that this feature is good for when the wearing condition changes. such as getting a haircut, being at higher altitudes, wearing or not wearing your glasses. I found this on the website's manual for the headphones.
I've recently purchase Sony headset and love these so much. The only issue is i've been noticing so far is the eq setting in the android Sony connect app keep resetting back to default
Bought these yesterday and the noise cancellation does not work without music and with music works so so ie i can hear most things that are going around. I regret that i bought them
I want to go buy those ones but I want to know how they work with the wire. Are all features present from the app? Also is ANC working the same? Can you still adjust it? Thx
The headphones must be powered on to access all of the features including ANC. With the 3.5mm plugged into your phone and the headphones powered down, the headphones will not be able to use ANC or any of the other features. You will still be able to listen to music however.
I am not able connect them wired to laptop, can u plz help on it. Windows 10 just would not recognize it , when i connect in with supplied cable. Also is there sound leakage in these headphones, mine have a good amount of sound leakage. How can we fix it leakage
Just bought these headphones today because of your video about using it after a bunch of months (and a few other reviews of course - it was a toss up between the Bose and these ones). Thanks for this instructional video. I also wonder why guys like Sony don't sponsor people like you and other reviewers to do instructional videos because theirs usually suck.
Hello! Nice video.... i have question regards the Noise Cancelling feature, is necessary to have the app to use this function? is to say, if i pairing them with my laptop i will have noise cancelling and the other features about to cover heaphone pad and listen the people next to me and so on?
Mark, you noted in another video that you can connect both to one audio device and another device for calling. Does this mean that I can connect to my PC for songs while also connected to my iPhone for calling? Haven't found a way to do multi-connection yet
Is it possible to pair to multiple devices, but only listen to audio from one at a time? And is it easy to, say, pause a video on your laptop and switch to listening to music on your phone?
Mark, Thanka for the info, I do have a question if you know. Do you have to have the Sony Headphones App open to keep setting, or do the headphones save settings? Not big on leaving apps running.
On iOS if you swipe and hold while listening to music it will fast forward/ rewind I only tried this on the music app not sure about Spotify or any other 3rd party app! Worked on xm2’s sure it works on xm3’s waiting on my delivery today 😬
like much of a fall/how durable is the overall build. Not stressed but say im like watching videos fall asleep and i roll over and it pushes them off my head to the floor. you think they are build to last?
Is there a way to have these phones connect automatically. I use them with a Sony TV but must connect them manually on every use by going into TV bluetooth settings and connecting from there. Other bluetooth phones i have paired to the same set connect as soon as i turn them on.
@Mark Spurrell You forgot a touch control mechanism. Swipe and hold at the end of a swipe will move your volume continuously up or down, or you can forward/rewind a song depending on the app you are using. ;) Especially the swipe and hold for the volume control is very handy as you don't look silly anymore as if you were making sweat right hand love to your ear cup by stroking it all night long before finally reaching max volume.
No he didn't forget. He mentioned all the things that you mentioned. The only thing he forget was to tell you to go to Specsavers for specs and a hearing aid ;-)
