I just found this beautiful lady and her channel and am I so happy that I did! My goodness, how lovely her dishes are. She is also so organized, which makes it so easy for watch for me. I am going to be a long time watcher💕💕💕
I’m speechless. You are an excellent cook . Your rice dishes had me riveted to the screen. I’ve learnt some new and delicious ways of cooking rice. I’m a vegetarian, but I continued watching, even though you had some meat dishes. I’ve also learnt about sorghum leaves. I’m very happy I came upon your channel. Thank you so much. Blessings sister. 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️
@@charlottemcalister6935 These recipes are all amazing & this woman is a great cook & appears much experienced in the kitchen. Her kitchen's so lovely, she's very clean & tidy & her use of many ingredients & the way she uses/prepares it all is seriously top notch & a cut above many others!
I love you. You have the culinary skills of 6000 years. Your editing narrating combined with the visual presentations of your cookware is impeccable. Not just gifted but you are ANOINTED to do this.⭐🌟✨💫
P.S. Another comment: I became enamored with the French phrase "mise en place," which I learned this past year, meaning having ingredients prepped and all "put in place" before the cooking process begins (I also hope to apply "mise en place" to other things in my house, lol). What a great model you are of that concept!!
Ahhhh hahaha I agree with you! I too, really love this French phrase, plus countless others! I just love all things French & I adore French cuisine/food. France was Europe's 1st true culinary cuisine & to this day, still retains much of it's foodie magic. I do use this concept when cooking, but not always. I think it's a very good & well organised idea & does work really well on camera. Personally, I do love to spice quite heavily, so using wee portions isn't enough for me! lol I'm known by all my nearest & dearest, to be a great cook, so I'm chuffed about that! I honestly think it's all in the seasoning for sure. Cheers & all the best.
I love how she used little ethnic tasting bowls to hold her pre-measured spices. There is something special about ethnic serving dishes. I will definitely make these dishes.
wow that technique of moistening the jollof rice with vegetables without adding extra water is clever!! Very great idea Cece Yemi, and thank you Nanaaba for exposing us to this amazing technique. Its always great when two wonderful African women can learn from each other!
Really inspirational. You could seriously have a cooking show. You flow and you speak well and the food you make is very tastefully done you season And display the food very tasteful.
African woman you can cook good. I am Jamaican and Indian ancestry those spices are the bomb very good for your digestion. African do love a lot of rice make some recipes with rice alternative using same spices. God bless you and thank you Nanabi
People who claim they hat vegetables would swoon at the beef fried rice recipe. The colors alone are extraordinary, and the flavors must be over the top!
Baby, i tried the 1st dish lentil and rice twice the first time my water measurement was off. Hoonnnnney! Talking about good. The thing is i'm weaning myself from salt so the fried onion mixtures and seasoning without the salt gives me all the satisfaction I need. Love love love your channel you are a true cook. Thank you so much! Oh and by the way I'm American so the seasoning mixtures are new to me. Thank you, thank you.
Nanaba you are an answer to my prayer. I wanted to make delicious and different types of rice, and you are the bomb. Way beyond my imagination. These rice dishes are indeed mind blowing. Can't wait to make them. God bless you continually for you are indeed a blessing from heaven.
im watching this at 1 10 in the morning and is had maked me so hungry this looks so taste and delicious ohhh cant wait to try making some of thesese Congrats for all your dedication on your cooking
Biryani is a lot like the Somali dish ‘Bariis & Hilib’ (rice and meat) and they eat samosas as well ‘sambusa’. I’m not Somali or Indian but I find this link very intriguing lol. Definitely the results of pre-colonial trade since the Indian Ocean or the patriotic Somalis would call it “Somali Ocean” would’ve gave them easy access to trade with each other.
According to wikipedia, the Central Asian samsa was introduced to the Indian subcontinent in the 13th or 14th century by chefs from the Middle East and Central Asia who cooked in the royal kitchens for the rulers of the Delhi Sultanate. It is possible that these middle eastern chefs introduced it to Somalia. So the samsa became samosa in India and Sambusa in Somalia.

Just delicious! Thanks for introducing me to such a variety of rice recipes from other African countries. I hope you will try Moroccan recipes ones. Greetings from Morocco 🙋🏽♀️
Moroccan food is wonderful in so many ways & always appears very colourful & tasty. I so love the bottled/preserved lemons used in Moroccan recipes, specifically when used in the many delicious tagine recipes. I do make my own however & I use organic lemons. I do know that Morocco is much more than just tagine & couscous. I also love Moroccan Harcha & spicy lentil soup & the wonderfully refreshing & tasty mint tea. I don't eat red meat, so I can no longer consume the grills, skewers, etc;. Here's wishing you well.
I used to make this recipe years ago when I was vegan for dietary and fasting reasons. So good and “meaty” in my opinion. And the onions are a must, it just adds savoriness to the dish.
I'm amazed, so lovely recipies from a so lovely lady!!! Everything is clean, fresh, beautiful, I like the way u talk, the way u laugh, the way u cook, just... perfect! Congrats and thank u, god bless! ❤💕⚘🥰
