Good reminder of how labor intensive this process is. In the end, I just find stone lithography more satisfying, nuanced, and in keeping with the original invention and use of lithography. Personally speaking, I cannot get excited about drawing on a metal plate for litho. However I find working on metal plates in intaglio printmaking extremely exciting.

I understand what you mean. I started lithography with flexible aluminum sheets. Stone lithography just seems like too much trouble to me.

Why do when I damp my Al sheet with a damp sponge( for rolling ink) all of the oil paint I use as an ink print is removed from my image? Thank you for your useful video.

Where do you get the red iron
oxide tracing paper from? I can not find it

I actually make it by rubbing red iron oxide powder (borrowed from the ceramics department) into newsprint. You can buy a bag of it from Amazon here www.amazon.com/Red-Iron-Oxide-Natural-Pounds/dp/B004OKDTX2/ref=asc_df_B004OKDTX2/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=194876912818&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=8909224961127141714&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9005530&hvtargid=pla-311173538864&psc=1
