They're not very fast and they're interior is as brittle as Doritos, but they got the power to weight to be a real fun drive and that 2.2 push rod cast iron 4 banger does not die. I grew up in mine and I still drive it work
@@mrchannel3760 Definitely agree and if anything it should be utilized fully I’m not just talking about for scrap metal prices. I mean put an engine in another Sunfire at minimum
Actually, I took the liscense plate home. No smog history and only one tag on the plate, 1999. The temporary registration was taped to the manual. I would love to know the story on this wreck. Probably a kids first car as it was registered to a pretty nice house?
this would be such an awesome project that would take a heck of a long time and a lot of money to restore. that poor thing was barely broken in!
Would be an interesting project. Definitely see if you can save it if the accident damage hasn't crippled the front subframe.
Popular combination, automatic,cd player and manual windows..Common for all cars of that era..Nothing odd, power windows were actually odd combination.
No armrest, no deal.
I think you should renew car and sell it!!😊
Haha, they were junk at the time, and time hasn't improved them.

i love the generic 80s-2000s american cars 😂
That took a hard hit
The shop at my high school still has one cut in half to teach the kids how to do electrical work.
Let me get this straight this car is been sitting since I was in 7th grade? Damn I feel old.
Though sunfires were junky, I kind of miss them, just the nostalgia I guess.
Get a California shell and swap almost everything that’s good but it’ll probable get parted out at best if no one takes it 😅😂
its a shame that these awesome cars get left to waste in a junkyard for the rest of their lifes :(
What am I missing that made these cool? I'm not being sarcastic. I love cars and have never given these much thought myself.
@michaelwhitacre8499 well only so many of these machines were made and it just sucks to see really anything rotting away in a yard.

Why was it sitting for 20 years?
It is a police impound. The county has some sort of case that involves it. I have no clue what it is.
@@MalaiseEra for 20 years?! 😭
Was a sunfire..rip
There is no way this thing was wrecked in 1999 and just left sitting there for years
No, it was very old, never driven, and then it was wrecked.

You can tells those plastic reservoirs in the engine bay are many years sun baked from being exposed.
