I am on my fourth Miata and earlier two have been manuals. manual is nice for short drives but on long distance road trip, auto is much "civil". I just came back from a 1500 miles starting from Skyline-Blue Ridge [Ashville]-Tail of The Dragon/Rattler-Atlanta and back home via interstate hwy. cruising at 80mph engine spins little pass 3k RPM keeping everything "civil" inside and 32MPG to boot.
2.5L? Isn't that a 2.0L?
