Hey mate, as another NC owner when putting the roof up / down make sure the windows are dropped a little otherwise it will wear the seals on the roof and potentially break your windows! Will make it a lot easier aswell!
I always have the top and windows fully down , have done for 12 years in 4 MX5 s , and no problems . These have been new cars , so there might be problems with older models .
Thanks Aaron, had some slight complications with one of the rear caliper carrier bolts snapping on me this weekend, all on film but should be fixed soon!
The A68 and backroads up to Edinburgh are thrilling to drive in an MX5. They're very entertaining event at road legal speeds. There are humps where the car is trying to get airborne and you bottle out, not something you'll ever experience in a heavier car?
I saw my son playing Forza horizon 4 (I think) and you can see how the game scenery must be based on the roads in this area. I took him for a 3 hour spin in our NC Maz on snakes pass and through to derby mx5 breakers yard, and he agrees! Great vid on great roads keep them coming and lets get an MX5 drivers meet up for a blast (when mine is rust free/ welded back together) 👍
Have you tried the A54 from Congleton/Bosley cross roads up to Buxton? It's my favourite local driving road and always quiter than Cat and Fiddle and Snakes pass.
Bro im 20 years old atm and studying at the University of Sheffield. I usually go for a drive in the peak district quite often in my shitty Chevrolet spark (not a particularly good car for these roads) and i have a blast. Ive been wanting an MX5 for a while now and this video made it 100% certain that im gonna get one. Great Video mate!
Got to start somewhere mate 👍 my 1st car was a 3 cylinder polo.. still love it to this day! Many of my memories being from trips up to sheff as I had a gf studying there. Wanted an NB originally as they were more affordable, but just waited a bit longer and found this NC. Hope unis not too dull with all these restrictions! Thanks for the support 💪☕️
If you ever make it to United States and of course you're going to be welcome here we love visitors the Smokies the Black hills area of South Dakota the Rocky mountains are all great places to play with and you can rent cars here. To
Try the B5053 between Ipstones and Buxton. you won't regret it. Great car BTW.

haha i have the hardtop and that does that part automaticly ;)
Thanks I will be sure to do that! Does make it easier to put up with them partially down. Thanks for watching 😊
Car Thought 100% easier with them partially down, latches first time every time

Beautiful scenery and road. The NC s,are underrated and put down by car snobs, but are a great value and loads of fun.
Sweaty back! So true, I thought it was just me...
Merlin Mann it's the only time I don't like the leather! Haha
Some better forward facing shots of the road would really break the video up and give a better perspective! Nice one though 😃
Lewis McCulloch I was thinking that too! Wish I could go back in time. Was having too much fun! Haha. Thanks though 🤘will try next time.
Great videos keep them coming, still looking to get my own NC sometime very soon!

Scott Parry Thanks very much. I didn’t know there was a specific breakers yard in Derby. What Mx5 have you got? Meet up sounds good!
@@CarThought NC 1 dude BC coilovers, wider tyres, noisy silencer and always a boot full of water for some reason! Keep em coming mate
Did the same thing last month - took the NC up to the peaks for a weekend. Beautiful scenery, excellent roads. Perfect car for the trip!
io504 couldn't agree more!

ho do you a have video regarding the alignment u did?
Norfolk use to be good for driving around the countryside, now it s a disaster, you'll find HGV everywhere even on quite narrow country lane.
Cool video. The Scottish highlands have the best roads in the uk hands down. You should check them out. Glencoe etc 👍
Actually drove these recently in my Corsa video! Have to agree. Might be doing something with the mx5 in Scotland next year..
They are good but West Yorkshire and the Lake District are pretty good on a quiet Sunday morning 👍

Nice roads but camera facing the wrong direction.
Hi fellow NC driver 👍🏻
Cool
Looked like a tr6, not tr7
You are very correct sir!
Back box delete
I don't have one but I wouldn't mind an IL motorsports backbox if you're got one!
