Thanks for the helpful video! My 2017 hard top just started filling with water when it rains heavily, and I was pretty stymied about what to do. Your video makes it look possible-I’m not a mechanic by any means! I’ll order the trombone cleaner and see if that remedies it.

Somebody put the steering wheel on the wrong side.

Funny, left-side steering wheel Miatas have the handbrake on the passenger side i.e. your drivers side, effectively the same location. Hence it's way out of the way for us reasonable people who drive on the right side of the road, pun intended ;) I suppose that it was intended to be on the drivers side though, as Japan drive on the left. As a rugby front rower I appreciate it being out of the way xD

If you are truly a good driver, don't need to buy insurance lol

Be mindful there is a downwards rubber 1 way flap in there, so if you’re using that trombone cleaner you must exit down, don’t yank it back up since u may damage the flap. By “there” I mean on the top side of the built in hose behind the retracting seat belt ( you have to move the plastic trim aside to reach the drain tube compartments).

Id be spending more than £800 a month just on fuel 😢

The first disks are fairly clearly below minimum thickness. the lip on the edge is the giveaway. Time for new disks there.

Cheap ! Very affordable in the UK In Taiwan, it's 2020 pounds a year just on taxes alone. Insurance would run you 200 quids a year depending on your options, but that's just third party liabilities. Which does not cover your own car if it gets damaged, a proper full coverage would run you 600 quids a year minimum. Gas prices on 98 Octane is about 79 pences per liter. Garage labor is better here, at around 40 quids per hour, parts price are on par globally. Taiwan has this stupidly outrageous amount of taxes on big displacement engines.
