I think Jaws actually helped start a new era of exciting movies that lasted through to the 90s - exciting films which relied on good stories, good acting and good cinematography.
And jaws the shark ruined sharks reputation forever. So yep definetely a win for all :)
@@thewhoman3182 Jaws actually made me love sharks even more! (as an adult)
@@skerr808 Sadly, that isn’t the case for everyone. Jaws had a severely negative impact on some people, as they thought that sharks were mindless killing machines who only thought about blood and death. Because of this fervent attitude to killing sharks, they have become severely endangered and even became smaller in size making their magnificence fade away.
@@juanjoyaborja.3054 Well, not everyone apparently. :)
It was around 3AM in the morning. I was in my village, mother was asleep and I was in my kitchen. I was drawing when the movie came on the TV. I left my art aside and watched the whole movie. From then, this movie is in my top 10, I regret nothing.
"what's your name again?!"
"Chrissie."
"where are we going?!"
"swimming."
I remember when I was a kid I used to watch this when it was on TV and eventually I got the entire collection on VHS and I would watch them almost every day after school
this is the best movie ever made.
Yep
Nope
Cyclone57 have you ever seen The Dark Knight (2008)
Zion Whitmire Classics are better than modern ;)
Bah
The guy who narrated this has the coolest voice ever. He sets the mood for each trailer. Even the Taxi Driver trailer, which was also amazing!
Also the voice of the Locknar orb in "Heavy Metal".
Percy Rodriguez
one of the best film of '70s and still is today
Unquestionably one of the best films that Spielberg directed, though my personal favourite is Jurassic Park.
Jurassic Park is a great film but Jaws is better..
Jurassic Park is my favorite as well with Jaws second
"Jaws"(1975) is Shark horror action adventure movie masterpiece! This is the best movie of all time for this Kind!
The greatest movie ever made
Happy, Happy, Happy 40th Anniversary "Jaws"!
This is still haunting today... and a good Steven Spielberg film.
The movie turns 45 today!
Still a classic in every way
Between the shark animatronics the music by John Williams the suspense and the actors this is the first summer blockbuster that set the template for many to come
Even my sister confessed to me a while back she’s terrified of sharks
its been 11 years and this JAWS Trailer feels like watching a new trailer! Its awsome!
Jaws,Jurassic Park, and Raiders are Spielberg's best movies!!!!
Nah
One of my favorite movies of all time. I wasn’t even born then. I’m still “baby”. I can watch this movie over and over and not get tired of it. It’s a classic and one of the best movies ever made. Steven Spielberg has made a work of art. This trailer scares me more then the movie.
Agreed
Interesting how a movie can have such an impact on people to be afraid of the water.
The same with Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, because everybody was afraid to take a shower.
Was? I'm still scared of the damned shower
Sorry for the confusion. I'm actually talking in general.
Well I'm not afraid to take a shower. I don't live with a psycho mommys boy who dresses up as an old dead woman.
And I've always been afraid of the water in general.
Ok, I understand.
Nice Alfred Hitchcock reference
A big bite of cinema history!
this is the best shark movie ever made ..and will forever hold the #1 spot....
We had it good at 10 years old back then! Jaws, Star Wars, Close Encounters, Apocalypse Now….moviemaking at its best ✅✅
One of the best films ever.
Crazy, I've seen the film many times and yet the trailer still gets me on the edge of my seat.
Jaws will never ever in a million years get old
I don’t care how many times I have seen this masterpiece. It could be a million, it will always scare me. It can never bore me
Movies used to be such an immersive experience, with such vivid stories.
Horror movies are being remade left and right. It's only a matter of time before Hollywood decides to pull this film off the shelf and take a CGI shit all over it.
+Jupiter9099 No matter how bad that movie may be, it can't possibly be worse than Jaws: The Revenge.
+Tommy Dee 100% agree
Which is kind of a shame, because mechanical shark technology has likely come a long way since 75'
And? It's not like it's going to take away the enjoyment of the original. There's room for both original & remake movies to exist & sometimes I like remakes more then the originals.
Riley Raine When used smartly, CGI can be pretty cool. When used lazily, CGI can be downright annoying.
quite possibly....one the best movie trailers in the History
THIS Is Why Some People Don't Go In The Water
Me:mom come on go deeper
(Btw it's like literally the beginning)
Her:no
Me:...
Her:plays song
Me:JAWS JAWS OMG GET OUT OF THE WATER AHHHHH *hits a rock* AHHHHHH GET OUTT PEOPLE
I don't go in the water because of KRAKENS!
What Are They
Krakens are giant squids. They eat great white sharks for breakfast and people for dessert.
Oh My Gosh
Still my favourite film 3 brilliant acting performances
What a classic!
1975 to 2023, and I still love watching this movie. Can't beat the classics, and you know it.
This Man with a great voice did best trailers ever
jaws will always be to me the greatest classic movie of all Time 1st rate acting clean no need for content that is not suitable for children we need more of that.
Is it me or i love old horror movies from the 70s and 80s
¡A timeless Classic!
Pretty sure everyone watched this when they where 7/8 😂
I did, at least. This and Jurassic Park were two of my favorites as a kid.
How I didn't gain lifelong trauma, I will never know.
Not if you were 18 when it came out.
It was a PG in the states, and only an 'A' certificate in Britain, so yes quite possible that people did see it aged 7 or 8. I always thought it had been an X in the 70's, but no...
Chloe Marsh no I watched this when I was 11 or 12 years old
I'm 22 and about to watch it today for the first time.
Dear Mr Steven Spielberg. A Couple Months back at North Street in Cooma there was hard work done on Jaws 5. The quality and excellence was quite high in the work - the visuals I got in my head were cool and up to date. Query Yahweh Elohim for the material and it is yours. Cheers.
I watched this movie so many times. I wasn’t born when it came out, but when I saw this on Vudu I was interested.
Well, with the exception of the shark getting blown up at the end this is pretty much the whole movie right here!
Released 45 years ago today . . . JUNE 20TH, 1975.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAWS!
🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈
Anybody is here now to see this trailor in 2021.
This movie is blockbuster still for now.
The. Bestest. Movie. Ever.
Like many, I watched this movie as a kid and fell in love with it. One of my favorites growing up. Star Wars did the same thing too.
My dad has seen this movie when he was 9 years old and here is me an 18 year old watching the Jaws trailer. One of the best horror movies I think I have ever seen.
Not only one of the best horror movies, one of the greatest movies ever made period!
no one today would watch past 5 seconds of this. they are too busy on their mePhones taking selfies and instant messaging their 8,000 online friends. 3 min trailer. You don't see these anymore. I saw this when it came out. Scared me so hard I was never going into any ocean after that.
This trailer is basically the movies greatest hits of moments . I've been hooked ever since I first saw that shark devour Robert Shaw . That moment was and still is the most bloodiest moment in cinema history.
Same!! First watched it in 2008
Jaws is the best shark movie no one can replace this masterpiece
Jaws is my all time favourite film
It's definitely a crying and horrible shame they don't make magnificent and legendary movies like this anymore. The film industry has died.
Hats off to Verna Fields who did a great editing job on this classic.
