2:13 The "rubber thing" is a shock absorber/virbation dampener and nice way to show off their logo :)
My fizik came with something like that-just an advertisement bit in the slot for their proprietary saddle bag to snap in.
Definitely similar, it's a smart was to advertise to wheel suckers :) The main difference is the Fizik slot is attached to the saddle's shell. The Selle Italia rubber thing wraps around the saddle's rails so in theory it prevents some vibration form getting to your butt.
Aha. Thx!
The carbon isn't Italian. It comes from a star that exploded over 6 billion years ago.
Niels Heldens no it's comes from The big bang
Lamethyste yes and no, carbon can originate from both. But, the amount of carbon before the first super novae is next to nothing. Because of that the likelihood of the carbon in the frame, wheels etc. originating from the big bang is almost 0.
Lamethyste and we don't even know if carbon was around before the first stars. But theoretically it could've been around.
Niels Heldens the red parts are actually pepperoni
Ahem ...Stella italiana
Best looking bike in the Pro teams.
@global cycling network you guys should do a pro bike on adam hansens Ridley helium slx it as some crazy features and components like custom cranks
This is certainly one of the most beautiful pro race bikes in the world this year. Thank you for sharing the more rare bikes of the pro peloton, can we please see some of the lower devision bikes too? Those guys need the air time, not like trek and those boring shimano teams!!!
Colnago certainly is making beautiful bikes these days, nice to see. I wish Pinerello still did. Unfortunately Pinerello bikes are ugly AF anymore
Dan, your fly's open.
I expect most people missed that because they were busy looking at the bike and not Dan's package...
You can say "XYZ". eXamine Your Zipper.
Oh, yeah. My bad.
Dan ...Mate......the cage is undone but the beast is asleep!
Well, it wouldn't be too shameful if the beast had awoken at the sight of THAT bike!
Interesting. Si usually does the unboxing. I didn't see the box, or the competition link, so consider this my entry to win this Colnago. As this looks like the only entry, you can contact me for the delivery details.
SQ lab saddles have the same rubber thing (under). It will allow saddle to flex side to side ewen so little.
Love this bike...
Dan seemed genuinely more excited about this bike than most other's I've watched him review. I can see why!
The tubing of the C60 is coming from a Japanese supplier named Toray. Not long ago, it was ATR that supplied the carbon tubing for Colnago top model such as the C40.
Lifelong Colnago fan, ever since Giuseppe Sarroni shot from the pack at Good wood 82 like he'd been fired from a catapult, have to be the bikes with best overhaul pedigree in the peloton. C-40 in d' house.
Yay another bike I can never get!
Really nice to see that Colnago are keeping hold of its heritage with in house frame building and its distinctive shaped tubing. Great bikes
The power2max powermeter is obviously from Germany Dan! Nice video, keep them coming :)
...as Dan said...
Jagwire ferrule on rear brake housing(1:56)? Taiwanese part
11-28?? Really?? Is campy now doing that or is this one more of those "repetition errors" Dan often makes (like when he said DA mech was DI2 ) Usually Campy has 11-29, as of last year at least, they didnt have 11-28
yes, they have 11-27 or 11-29; and this looks like a 11-29 cassette
Did Dan forget to mention the frame size?
Think Simon nicked Dans Zipps! Must have been the Enve of not doing the bike review! 😊
Campagnolo still don't make 11-28 cassettes. Does this come up every single time you guys look at a bike with their groupsets?
Which is tighter, bib shorts or Dan's pants?
Them Pants. They cant even zip up. Good call not rockin commando today Dan! Maybe just stick to the GCN Cycling Kit? Lol
I reckon the number holder isn't Italian.
I want this bike 😍💙
1:38 : Did anyone notice that stange patch on Dan's head?
Maybe while riding with Matt he should not only wear mittens, but also a bandana under his helmet.
Vittoria tires are made in Thailand. www.vittoria.com/who-we-are/ . "Located in Bangkok, Thailand, Lion Tyres is the production facility where the Vittoria Group concentrates its production of quality bicycle tires, tubulars and inner tubes.Founded in 1988 during the reorganization and globalization of the Vittoria Group, Lion Tyres and was created to handle production, as well as research and development.
They are the largest company in the Group, employing over 1300 employees spread across five buildings, totaling more than 100,000 square feet under 100% Thai management."
Oh, by the way, ATR carbon composites were used by Ferrari for a very long time. The company is no longer around.
Did you forget tot close your zipper properly?
OR was a little fellow peaking out, due to the enthoisiasm about thuis bike? #bikepron
im so glad idiots are now trading in their colnago60s to upgrade to disks...it might have taken 2 years to find my frame but more are entering the market
Sure is a beauty.
Is it just me or someone else do notice that Dan Lloyd hair is not growing. Cuz every time he is in the video I always see the same hair length #torqueback
Sweet bike. Well narrated. Did you say the size of that frame? Small. Compared to Dan. ;-) Oh, and, what's the deal with Colnago using lugs & tubes versus a more blended frame from everyone else?
Lugs and tubes allow Colnago to custom make frames to your exact measurements...Like Calfee frames.. Course you need quite a few extra Euros for that...
Oh, to have unlimited funds to by unlimited bike, and unlimited time (and legs) to put in unlimited miles...
People will mention the fact that they can tailor the frame to your exact size etc., but honestly it's just an unwillingness to change. Yes, they're in the pro peloton but they aren't getting any wins and that's because the pro peloton is literally all about marginal gains. And let me tell you there's nothing gained from having those lugs over a smoother un. Italian purists are just creaming because it's a Colnago. All the reviews mention how it only feels "practically just as good" on the climbs but that's just it: to a consumer the lugs and tubes vs. un debate won't mean a damn thing, but in the pro peloton I don't know why you'd use a lug and tube design (and any Campy GS for that matter), especially in the era of marginal gains.
@@ArtyYooo Put Sagan or Froome on a Colnago and watch the wins pile up. It's the rider
Was your zip down there, Dan?
A little chipolata on the bike it would seem.
Dan making Sacha's bike look rather small when he stands next to it at end of video...
The lines of the lugs front and seat post don't match - the angles are just wrong and have no flow.
Dan, do your flies up fella. ☝ & I hope you washed your hands after......
why's the transponder on the chain stay? surely it makes sense to have it on the forks.
What about Cipollini Bikes ...... made in Italy 100% ?
Haha! Was typing that the power meter wasn't Italian when you spotted it. Pays to watch the video in its entirety.
Only colnago still join their carbon tubes by glueing them together
My custom Firefly bike will cost more by the time it is completed than the C60 with Campagnolo. And it won't have an Italian or Chinese part on it. Bikes and components made here in the USA are more expensive than anywhere else in the World. Does that mean they are better bikes? Post your comments please.
no, they are not - therefore Drump builds a wall to protect them from better parts from elsewhere...
Nice to see them move up to the big level! Now it's acceptable to purchase from wiggle ;)
the rubber is so you can hang you bike at its sadle for triathlon
any difference in ride quality between three spoke and regular spoke pattern on wheels??
no; but slightly better aerodynamics and the wheels stability is equal to forces from both sides (what isn't the case with normal wheels due to the different angle of the spokes left/right)
In the final 20 seconds, does Dan need to zip up his fly? Or is that a Di2 wire going somewhere we better not discuss? :-)
Why put the sensor at the rear of the bike and not the front?
why is it so 'heavy'?
My bike dealer got several C60's. Finally some beautiful frames between all those american brands :)
Nice bike. I think I would appreciate it more than Sacha. I'm going to start a GoFundMe page to try to get the dough to buy it.
Brake cables -at least the outer ones- are Jagwire ....made in Taiwan.
Might want to check the zipper next time Dan....
In keeping with the theme of 'Everything Italian', this is Dan trying to display his version of an Italian sausage, but failing.
Vittoria isn't Italian... They are Japanese
Dan, did you need Si there to dress you and make sure the flies were done up lol. GCN is great, keep the videos coming.
Not even veloflex tyres? Pffft! I've seen more Italian bikes on the paths.
The number plate was not Italian. : )
That number tag is not Italian....
Not to be pedantic, but I believe those Campy cassettes are 11-27, not 28.
not 11-29? Not 28 for sure!
I wonder if Dan realized his "Barn door" (fly, Zipper on pants) is wide open?
do you think they lube the chain with olive oil?
knowing Campy, the rear cassette will either be a 27 or 29 low sproket! 😀
Great! With measurements! Lasty need to go in school by Dan... 😊
probably the headset can be non-italian
what material are the lugs? Isn't that primarily for steel frames? how does that work
Carbon fibre lugs and tubes.
the Selle Italia saddle is a pro team version only for pro teams! I race the same in our Pro team
Vittoria aren't exactly Italian anymore since they're made in Thailand. Veloflex would have been the Italian tyres for this bike.
you are wrong, the vittoria G+ tires are made in Italy
No they're not. Research & development is done in Italy, but Vittoria Corsa G+ production facilities are in Thailand. Also, "Made in Thailand" is moulded into the tread. This does not make them inferior in any way, but they're not 100% Italian like Veloflex.
any chance of some pro continental or even continental team bikes please 👍
the break pads must be Swiss, I reckon.
but swizerland is almost italy
I think no Swiss guy would agree to that
Can you guys make a top ten top tens
Does anyone know why this team doesn't use Colnago's V1-R, given how much lighter it is than the C60?
Matt Hershey there's no point because of the uci weight rule.
George J I may be splitting hairs, but 450 g above the UCI limit isn't insubstantial.
The michrophone is made in China
Review the Boardman One Pro Cycling team !
Decent weight. 400g heavier than the UCI limit
Heavy considering it has all the top kit on it!
Campy BIKE Finallly!
Chipolini is made in italy
That is a sweet Colnago !
#powermeter from @power2max is germany.
...as Dan said...
Andrey's Amador bike please!
Very Very cool bike.
your zipper Dan
Loydi... your fly is open 😂😂😂
Mind the gap...
the bottle cages
Gcn reviews have come on soo much 👍
OnePlus 3 spotted. nice phone (I've got one)
Bottle cage?
Bottle cage
super bike
zip down?
VERY COOL !! THX Dan!
Didn't Europcar ride Colnago up until 2016?
+bullwhip johnson Yes, but they weren't in the Worldtour.
they were not on the world tour though...was sure they were only pro contential??
My bad. I forgot about that because they got so much TV coverage. Because of Thomas Voekler, Pierre Roland and many others on a small but talented team.
nice
first
fking fantastic bike.. and you can buy it for maybe 15k
love the colors !
남대문 열림 ㅋㅋ지퍼 오픈
The carbon tubes come from Taiwan and they are only assembled and painted in Italy. Sadly...
