this video is incredibly comforting and inspiring. I’ve struggled with painful periods my whole life, having to miss work/school and social events because of it.. I’ve lived with it and just tried to keep going. I’ve also been working from home and not getting enough exercise, I’ve developed some low back pain and been trying to take care of myself more with massages and stuff. It’s so easy to fall into a cycle where you give up and give into pain, suffering, depressive thoughts and low energy. I need to implement more movement, kind affirmations to myself, breath work, etc. I appreciate your product recommendations!

It truly does make a difference. I known when I do my practices (breathe work, meditation, exercise, being kind to myself etc) that I know are beneficial to make I feel so much alignment and life flows well. When I don’t do them, I see the increase in friction everywhere. I hope you find a great routine that works for you. 😊☀️

I am currently dealing with weight gain and fatigue and pain. it's hard to tell where grief ends and endo starts. my grief of losing my dad, moving away - a decision made in a panic, only now to regret it, and not having money to get back. every day i wake up, i cry. i can't believe i am here. i cant believe my dad is gone. this grief has made my endo scream in ways it never used to. :( and i am sorry body. i wish i could change my feelings, but it feels like i am one walking open wound. my heart hurts. my belly hurts. my uterus hurts. i feel like i lost MYSELF. I watch these videos and i try to come back to myself through watching. it gives me brief moments of hope and happiness. 🧡 i hope you never stop making videos. i know you will be away for a while, filming. but i hope you come back. i miss you.

    This is my story.
I have Endometriosis, throught all my life I struggled with extreme pain and bleeding, it was very common for me to have pain or bleed even when I wasn-t on my period, sex was traumatic for me, and doing a poo felt like someone was ripping my intestines out of me. I took an insane amount of ibuprofen for the pain which fucked my stomach. I was diagnosed around 4 years ago and was put on birth control having never been on it, I also got surgery to remove an endometrioma which was causing so much pain.
The birth control and the surgery literally changed my life, I am happier than ever, the pain is more bearable now and I don't have to take insane amounts of ibuprofen for the pain, birth control made a happy, pain-free, peaceful life possible for me. Each woman and each story is different but this is mine. I would never go fully natural and stop taking my birth control since all the time when I didn't take it was miserable, painful and hopeless.
Ladies, for those with endometriosis, don't try to force something that just isn't working for you, I tried healing my endometriosis naturally and change my diet and change my life but it just wasn't physically possible for me, the only thing that helped me was my professional gynaecologist which had a PhD in endometriosis, and had done several research on endometriosis through her whole life, she is someone that dedicated her whole life and career to understand and treat endometriosis, , she literally saved my life.
If going the natural way works for you that is great! keep doing it and embracing it, but just don't try forcing something just because you think that is the only way. I find Sophia's story interesting and I am so glad and happy she found what worked for her but remember we are all different and there is nothing wrong with going the 'scientifical' way.

She gave you what all doctors give, her PhD and specialty offered you nothing different. Eventually you will need surgery again and your hormones will end up messed up, increase risk of stroke and it doesn’t fix the problem. I used to be there… it doesn’t last. I went to a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor. Big difference.

@@mindyourspirituality570 Is that or live in extreme pain and discomfort for the rest of your life. My hormones are perfectly fine, I am the healthiest happiest I've ever been, I currently run marathons, do lots of exercise and live a pain free life, I don't regret my choice for a minute. (NOTHING fixes the problem but at least I can treat it with birth control and laparoscopy)

When I changed my life (new boyfriend, new place to live, working for only 5 hours a day), first my pain and later my endometriosis disappeared.
Yes I think a complete life change is important to solve a problem like this

      Bist du auch betroffen?

    • @lauraw.4014
      @lauraw.4014 Год назад

    • @leenchenneu6478
      @leenchenneu6478 Год назад +7

HI Sophie. Hi all the other beautiful souls. I won't write an essay, but it took me almost 25 years to reduce my horrific period pains. The two external things I found that made a huge difference; CBD oil (I use Hempen, grown in the UK) and magnets. They are incredible. I wear them on my pants and in a bangle on my wrist. Also eating as clean as possible. Trying to avoid sugar in all forms and pesticides. Moving lots, but not high impact. Going to bed and waking at the same time. And then inner work - lifetime of work 😊 Sending you all light and love ❤ Thank you, Sophie, for your gorgeous videos xxx

Brilliant video, I was a Endo sufferer for 10 years, so severe it ruled my life, I tried everything natural alternatives nothing worked. Sometimes my systems would ease only to come back even more , I longed and prayed for the menapause just so I would get release. I radically changed my diet, I have to slightly disagree with you about fat, Ive cut out nut butter never cook with oil or add it to food, avocado one a week, no processed sugar, or foods instantly noticed a difference, pain went to zero, period lasted a week instead of 3. And since September this year I'm been slowly heading towards menapause, no night flashes, only systems I'm experiencing is grumpy lol. But yoga is my medicine.

I love that you did this you put everything I've been doing in this video I've always lived a healthy lifestyle growing up yes you can splurge but once I got pregnant I completely changed & I started a healthier lifestyle for my son.
I make everything at home or when we're on the road I'll pull over & pull out our burner & make my son his Quinoa or tortillas.
My son such a strong healthy 4 year old has never had pressedfoods no fires chicken nuggets ,tenders, cows milk artificial flavor colors, sweet teats.
I'll make him his own healthy treats
& blend his milk from hemp seeds, walnuts so if he want his small bowl of cereal he has fresh milk.
Our life is always on the go living in our camper traveling living in the colder state we wanted to go somewhere warmer now traveling down south & sleeping in our tent going to different places I want my son to have a beautiful healthy life always in nature eating healthy foods having fun in the trees ,River streams playing with bugs rocks.

And I want to add, for anyone else who might feel overwhelmed by the magnitude of the lifestyle change: we don’t need to overhaul our lives all at once. Small, gradual change is so important and so impactful. It’s okay to go slow 🤍

I have a weird question I have been dumping chemicals on my face because of mild cystic acne. I saw you splash water on your face and just use the witch hazel and shea with oil and you talk about cystic acne in the past? Do you not use anything but that?? I’ve been debating not using anything for a while now. Sorry this is long I’ve been struggling with acne and on top of you vegan whole plant based approach I was just curious as to what you do to your face. Okay I’m done now! Sorry!

I've started buying clothes this way back in 2017. I've also been curious why I can't see the other cooking videos in your channel.. Did you changed your perspective on the ways of cooking?

Sophia, I've found you quite some time ago and safe to say, you're by far my absoluty fevourite creator in the vegan/health space. Your vidoes reflect nothing but the deepest desires and longings of my soul, they speak to me and I just listen. Sometimes I watch a specific video over and over again each day/week because I love to listen to your voice, it's soothing. I haven't found any chanel like yours, not even remotely as good. This video just became my ultimate favourite right as I saw that you uploaded. I'm knee-deep in the research of holistic womb healing for years now, it is a topic that has a special place in my heart. You are special. The message you share is vital. You are revolutionizing the landsape of the health and wellness side of youtube. SO much gratitude. THANK YOU 🤍

I have been into detoxing on and off for years and I always found it strange that not more people realize the hormone disrupters in hygiene products are a big part of the problems.
If I had to point out one thing, is that you make it seem so easy to research and implement all of this. Both eliminating and adding things to our diet is a slow process for most people, with big wins and equally big setbacks.
When I decide to quit one more thing that close to everybody else eats, it sometimes is a letting go, even grief. Despite knowing that I am choosing my health above all else.
I also find it challenging to remain perfectly abstained from sugar at all times, but a close relative of mine has endo and sugar literally kills her with pain.
    It's a road.
I'm not perfect at all, but every change I made has made me better.
Last note: dairy products naturally have lots of hormones in them, so my guess it's very bad for our systems. However, mostly vegans watching maybe haha.

Something I find challenging, is that I REALLY struggle to find sustainable clothing brands that carry plus sizes. I do hope that balancing my hormones and food better slowly leads my body to shed the excess fat, but until then (if that even happens) I’m mostly stuck with poor quality fabrics and toxic fabrics

Sophia, I love your videos! So insightful. Question: for thrifting vintage clothing, do you look for specific fabrics to avoid like some acetone based sweaters or?? I love vintage clothing but have learned a bit about some harmful materials & ingredients in them, especially for kids, so I was curious your take on all that. Thank you!!!

I had endo surgery 9 nearly 10 years ago. The pain went away. Then the bleeding happened on hormones. I had to stop all hormone tablets and iuds
I'm due to get another surgery in September and possibly a hysterectomy at 28 years old. I don't want kids so it doesn't bother me.
But I can't shake this feeling that getting surgery is not for me. I don't know if I should get surgery if I only experience pain maybe 3 times out of a month. I'm also overweight so I don't know how that affects periods.

"What to ELIMINATE can be even more powerful"❗This resonates so much right now, I was speaking with my friend who has just come to terms with her power in destruction. To be able to end something & move forth is powerful and shouldn't be feared because of it's negative connotation ❣
