PS - I do it to my handheld sprayers too (e.g., 50 oz). My only criteria is it has to have a pressure release valve for safety. I fill them until the pressure release valve opens and away I go. I hope IK modifies all of their sprayers no matter the size to incorporate this feature.
Love the pro 12.. only one issue with it is draining it.. only thing I miss from the foam 9 is the drain hole in the bottom. Having to turn it upside down to drain/recover product..
Can you use one of these without foaming... say for example with a product like speed shine as a super high capacity spray bottle or will it foam anything you put into it or what??

Just got the IK foam pro 12. Brand new and not working properly. It sputters out product not consistently. (Like a tire releasing air with water in the tire.) I have diagnosed it to the hose that connects the wand to the tank. Using just water, it flows freely from the pressurized tank. Attach the hose (without the wand) and water just sputters out like it is mixing with air or hose is blocked. The wand and sprayer tip appear fine. So, any tips on how or why water coming out of the hose sputters? As i said a steady stream of water shoots straight up out of the tank, attach the hose and i would expect a steady steam of water, but just sputters out of the connecting hose (without the wand attached). Tried cleaning the hose with running water and air. No improvement. Do i need a new connecting hose? It is brand new... 🤔
I just bought one and love the quality of the foam it produces. I'm using 6 liters of a 4% solution of Gyeon Foam in distilled water at 60 psi, with the default medium metering hose and the results are great. It is much more economical with the expensive soap that I use, so that will offset the high cost of this unit eventually. I use about 2 liters of solution to foam my sportscar completely, so it also uses less water than my previous foam gun that attached to a garden hose.
I use this to shampoo carpets in my house as well. I get a commercial "dry foam" shampoo and spray this down about a 1:30 ratio, brush the foam in with a silicon push broom then vacuum with my shop vac. Works great and way cheaper than cans of carpet cleaning foam spray since I have the sprayer for my car anyway. Need a specially formulated dry foam shampoo though so no sticky soap residue.
That’s interesting, I got one for my vehicle but I got a jute rag that need to clean and those I heard are delicate when washing. Can you please share the type of soap you use that dries up for you to vacuum? Thanks
The water in my area is not good so within 2 weeks the white filter at the nozzle was clogged with dirt and caused the foam to come out unevenly. I have replaced the new one and used it very well, but there is one problem that the manufacturer provides these filters or not because only about a month later I don't have a new filter to replace. . Looking forward to hearing back soon so I can get things done with the amazing IK PRO 12 foam sprayer
I plan on pumping it myself until I get my hands on a compressor. I am going to start my own mobile detailing business. Is this better then a pressure washer? Or should I just buy a pressure washer instead?
So with the air pump attachment, you would still have to stop spraying and re-pump with air once the pressure is lost right? If you attached a wireless portable electric air pump, could you get uninterrupted spray time?
All, I am new to this device and I want to start washing my car myself. My question is can it also be used to rinse the vehicle like a pressure washer? Or is it only for spraying foam?
Actually, Jason Touro, the USA training director for Goizperna said you can easily make the foamer into a sprayer. He said take any one of the tubes with the three different colored nozzles whether it be the green, orange or gray one and right below the nozzle you'll see a little bitty hole so all you have to do is drop a little super glue in that hole to plug it and no more foaming it's just a sprayer so pick the hose that you don't use very often plug the hole and you're off and running you now have an ik pro 12 that can both be a foamer and a sprayer. I did and it's terrific.
I’m far from a detailer. Can I simply buy two for washing my car? One for a car wash solution, and one that just holds water? I unfortunately don’t have access to a hose.
That air plug is a game changer. What if I was to use this solely with an iron remover that doesn’t foam, will it try to foam it and or come out in a smooth stream
Just got it and put super clean 1:3 in it, total 2 gallons of solution. But even though I have changed it to the wet foam- orange tube tip, it's still producing a normal foam. Wanted to use this as a wet pre-wash but can't, any ideas where did I go wrong?
Great sprayer, definitely an upgrade to the IK 9. Question: How many OUNCES of a quality, concentrated snow foam car soap (Chemical Guys HoneyDew Snow Foam) do I mix with water to make 1 GALLON mixture? HELP PLEASE!
My Ik 12 isn't holding pressure and is leaking from the wand handle where the lock is when pumped, do u think replacing with a new pro handle will fix my issue?
Hey guys so I bought a ik foam pro 12 and I used auto fanatic wheel cleaning foam in it and the foam was great but I diluted p&s break buster up to 3:1 and when I spray it does stay fanned it goes from a fan of foam to looking like it is just globing out of the center. Hi Dominic, the "Foam" units will only foam due to the construction of the sprayer's plumbing design, if you're interested in traditional spraying, then you'd want to check out the "Multi" models. (Or, if you're a fan of stainless steel bodies, you could check out the Tint & PPF Sprayer) Of course, there are people online who modify their sprayers with mixed results, but we don't endorse that sort of thing out of an abundance of caution.
