Excellent video! I loved seeing your amazing shots when reviewing for competition! Also, it was fun to see you back on the road doing what you do! I miss seeing Sofia…and I’m sure you are missing her too! She’s a sweetheart! Thanks for taking me along!
Glad you and Sophia are doing well! I certainly enjoyed her as an addition. Also, super curious where did you get your silver sunshades for your car? I’m in the market for a set and don’t know which company makes good ones. Cheers Alex!
Good morning Alex 🌈 and Sophie too if you're watching. Welcome back to Canada. I was surprised to see Sophie is in Ontario. I thought she was from NFLD and just didn't have a Newfie accent 😊 I miss seeing her in your videos but I bet not nearly as much as you do. Pic #16 is my favourite. As usual, not a bad one in the bunch. Looking forward to episode 2.
13:12 my heart skipped a beat 16:00 +. Oh boy ‼️ 40:50 GULP GULP. RIGHT HERE IS WORTH EVERYTHING I am really enjoying this. I WAS planning a trip there for May 2024, but cancer 53:39 ♋️ got me…..I’ll have to research to see if Sept is ok weather wise then cross my fingers I can make that 🤞🏻
Hi Alex. I like the new format for your videos. Too many RUclips photography channels are actually more camera commercials. Your videos are more about photography and less about gear and that is what I enjoy. I look forward to more of your new ideas, thanks for what you do.
Cape St George is a magical place and I have many pictures of the cliffs. We saw seals swimming below us at the edge last time. Also got pictures of fishermen below the cliffs at sunset in silhouette.....memories!
As a Newfoundlander, I can guaranteed more than one would've gladly taken you out, and probably given you a fresh meal of Cod/fish & some moose too😅 , then invite you in for a tea or out to the shed for a laugh😂
Good stuff Alex, thoroughly enjoyed the journey . Sad to see you lost your mate for this moment - "Bye Sofia, see you again soon"... However, I'm looking forward to this series. Thanks for sharing 👍
Hey buddy glad you made it back to my province. But if we ever meet someday I need to teach you how to say "Newfoundland" correctly . Its ok as all of my American friends can't say it either....lol Cheers.
@@AlexArmitage Newfinlind. Of course, halfway through the video (and right after I posted this), you switched from New Found Land. Love you and these videos. Big fan.😁
I miss Sophia already... Why do they have to put wind turbines in the most beautiful areas? Loved the few bergs that you got. I wondered whether you would meet up with Gavin, as I watched his video earlier. Have fun, enjoy your journey. Geoff.
So much in this video! "Lawrence of Arabia"? Aren't you a little young for that reference? "Might change at any second." One reason I love sunsets: The same one never happens twice! The deep-blue rivulets falling down the face of one of the icebergs reminded me of tears for some reason, "Rage against the dying of the light." The rainbow images are terrific as are the berg shots, nicely done and nicely endured!
nice video, amazing icebergs. was wondering if you’d hook up with Gavin. oh, looked like your windshield was cracked. be careful in Canada with that, they take a dim view of cracked windshields.
Alex, God love ya, but we gotta talk. Can we talk? Good. Long time viewer, but dude, having to watch you incessantly brush your teeth makes me want to stop viewing right there and then. I know you want to be taken seriously as a photographer, and to differentiate your channel from the other landscape RUclipsrs... but this isn't the way. Love ya, man!
ALSO just listed a workshop in Newfoundland for 2025! www.alexarmitage.com/2025-newfoundland-photography-workshop
I was watching the whole video thinking, “hey that’s where Gavin is!” Anyway, I’m sure he’s glad to meet Peter again. My god I need to get out more. 😅
Haha. They did eventually make it up there

Gorgeous work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Food for thought on your approach to entering NLPA. Not unlike mine, I just need to take the plunge!
Awesome adventure and shots! Looking forward to the next episode. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
I’m sure Sofia is happy to see you get so close to the edge 😂 great job lovely work and great images..
shhh dont' tell her!
Glad you and Sophia are doing well! I certainly enjoyed her as an addition.
Also, super curious where did you get your silver sunshades for your car? I’m in the market for a set and don’t know which company makes good ones.
Cheers Alex!
Just got them off Amazon. All the same brand for the 4runner.
Really well done. Your video, editing, and storytelling skills are on point. That was well worth the time. Thanks!
Thank you!
Thanks
Wow thanks so much Keith!
Awesome video!! Loved every part of it
Also looking forward to more episodes like this!
Thanks Josh!
Absolutely wonderful video! Really enjoyed it all, and the drone footage and images of the icebergs of course are fantastic! Cheers
Those iceburgs are amazing.
I spent 35 days photographing Nova Scotia and Newfoundland last summer. The bergs were my favorite!!!
Thats amazing!
Absolutely magnificent!!! One of the most enjoyable videos I have seen in a long time!
Great work. Much appreciated Alex.
Wolfgang
Wow thanks so much Wolfgang!
Thanks for the adventure! Great images, great video, great story. I am looking forward to the next one!
Love the B&W iceberg/coast shot
that was one I didn't think anything of until I made it a B&W!

Awesome video, nice to see you back in 🇨🇦 📸😎
Hah, been here since March!
@@AlexArmitage ha ha video time delay! But…did you get “screeched in” on either of these trips!?
@@JasonLorette I don't drink, so no!
@@AlexArmitage ahhh that would make sense then, lol. Love your adventures dude, enjoy your travels! 📸😎
This video has inspired me to look through my Arizona photos again.
Maybe I’ll see something in my rejected photos that I didn’t back then.
Still enjoying your music choices... 🙃
Thank you!
Alex: this is episode 1...
Me: ...this is gonna be good
Hope you enjoyed!
Quite the journey…. Thanks for the ride!
Great video and love the idea about self-photography using your shadow!!
Glad you liked it!!

I hope you can make it! Sept wont have any bergs though but still beautiful
Excited to watch this journey, Alex!
Thanks Murray :)

Gear is what makes us sustainable. But I know most of us don't really care that much about talking about it.
Nice job Alex!

It is quite a lovely spot!
The iceberg photos with that golden light were gorgeous!, enjoyed a lot this video of you coming back to the road
Thank you Marcial!
Amazon KDP might be a good publishing option for you
Lovely video!
Should've went down to the wharf to see if someone would take you out to see them, cause I can guarantee someone would.
Probably!

Woh! 56 minutes! The longer the better! I know I'm gonna enjoy the whole thing for sure! :D
I hope you did!
@AlexArmitage oops forgot to edit my comment. Haha, yes! as always, enjoyable. Thank you for the video 😊

Sadly things with Gavin didn't really pan out. Which you'll find out in the next video
Great video Alex. So where does one shower when on the road?
Lots of options. More than you'd think at least!
Love your videos. Question, does your Sigma lens fit directly on to your RF mount on the R7 camera?
Thanks! No it is adapted
Amazing work! I have several questions if you'll indulge me.
Go ahead!

No issues yet!
Great video, great experience. Music a little unnecessarily loud
Sorry about that. Tough to get that balance right for all listening devices
