I think this is a clear sign that yamamoto should go on IJN dds. Not because he s bad at the other lines, on the contrary he's great. It s just that yamamoto turns the IJN dds from a weak line to a meh line... Yeah! Thanks wargaming
i do well with my IJN DDs. less than before in the lower tiers...but still decent.

How are the chances that we will see a Akatsuki review? There is nothing to find on YT that is even remotely up to date.
akatsuki is pretty mediocre unfortunately. its a slightly better fubuki but doesn't benefit as much from the torpedo reload consumable because its not part of the gunboat line. what would be a 5sec reload for shiratsuyu, its like 20+ secs for the main line, so smoke is more favorable, general regular ijn gameplay.
I like akatsuki alot.. Full torp reload.. Only it could just something slight better torp angles,, its a fast dd but turning broadside to torp drains speed to much and then that's 6,4km hurts.. Specially if someone actively hunts you,, I've been forced to sail straight away half a game cause an Atago was following me.. But still if you have good position.. Every 68, 64 seconds 9 torps is nice, and then adrenalin rush as well

99% of the time, it's an HE spammer. Once in a blue moon, you get into a match with mostly cruisers and lots of islands. Once that's the case, you can use islands + hydro to push, and devastate people with your AP.
But yeah, long range HE spammer 99% of the time.
I wonder if you still go for TRB after the carrier update? Sometimes smoke is your only edge

When I play japanese dds, I have always to fight against dds with way stronger guns, without smokes I'm just dead x.X
With the buddyonny it doesn't matter much where you torp are 10 km there's high change ships change course.. Its indeed best geuss trying to predict he's moves and not then white line

My winrate in this ship is appalling, perhaps ive been playing it with the erong consumables after all
when ever I go within 6km and fire my torpedo, enemy randomly decides to turn, and show broadside to our bbs... which confuses me since I don't see any see planes in the air... and bbs turn 90 degree to my torpedo in 2~3s so they all miss... which was more frustrating since, bbs are doing ridiculous 90 degree turns...

On US In Tier VII you will play against IX most times.
Can someone tell me some tricks how to grind hipper? I fail to deal any damage, eat cits even though i angle--- after all i cant even motivate myself playing it. I played Roon and Hindenburg and rly want these ships, but Hipper just is so bad that i would rather play danae 24/7 than german t8 garbage
Stay back, use ur BB's as cover, and then use AP to deal big damage and you can get within 6km of enemy BB's to yolo top them

I wonder why they didn´t use Raizō Tanaka instead of Isoroku Yamamoto since the later haven't served on a destroyer at all and Tanaka was made famous for the "Tokyo Express" battles around Guadalcanal

In SEA, you can't predict everyone, you see your teammate went full retreat on one flank(stupid move), you expect enemy top tier BBs pushing that flank, you launched torp, then they go full retreat too. WTF. no wonder the game in high tier SEA server is so fucking passive
Yeah, you'll often seen that type of play. But i think, that retreat were understandable if the ones they're chasing was a Zao, hinden or even henry. They're really hard to hit when kiting and if you're a bb, you'll burnt to death before even killed one of them. So lets just take the bright side, you'll have it easier to play in another server if "prediction" was your only problem.
I did do very well in NA server, landing torps there is easier, because ppl tend to play on the objective, capturing the caps. while in SEA, they donn't play with rules, i never understand what they are doing, half of the time, the game ended with time out with less than 12 ships sunk throughout the whole game

I guess on the rare occasion you get a kraken it's usually late game and the outcome is often a foregone conclusion by then, so hardly a gamebreaker imo

Am I the only one who simply cannot make this ship work *at all* since they removed the smoke? I mean, on paper she's a slightly worse Kagero, but playing her like that just didn't work for me at all - 43% WR on the Shira compared to 65% on my Kagero and Harekaze. And it wasn't particularly fun either - she's stupidly slow, turning around takes forever, the guns are literally worse than the Shinonome's, and the concealment isn't all that amazing either when everyone else can just bully you out of your cap because you're so ridiculously slow.
Meanwhile, Akatsuki is very fast, has more torps in more versatile 3x3 launchers with a significantly shorter reload, more guns with a more useful turret setup, and has smoke...
TL;DR Sold my Shira, kept Akatsuki as a T7 fun boat that I still ocationally play.

Atago is best T8 cruiser, how do you even need guide, kappa?
RN cruisers will be buffed soon. They will have four puffs of smoke instead of the normal 2. And if you have captain Jack Dunkirk, the Belfast is SUPER OP because you get 30% extra smoke buff instead of the normal 20% with the captain skill. I can easily get 4 kills a game in the Belfast. Average about 2-3. (Sometimes I potato and just get dev struck). There’s nothing to complain about with the Belfast. Yes it has horrible armor but it has such high dps and such good consumables it’s completely broken. Even with the smoke nerf it is an amazing ship. All you have to do is contest caps with your friendly dds. Sit outside the cap and spam HE. if they’re undetected then you have your nice 8.49 km radar. Plus you can sit in your smoke and hydro up and basically be invulnerable to torpedoes. (Torpedobeats not included)

why? i bet u dont even have a single tier 8. u would know how fucking hard is it to get yamamoto... its a good reward for those hard missions. + u mostly need tier 9 ships. soo its already hard to even get to tier 9 first
