This car is absolutely awesome. You get exotic design, performance, and luxurious without being a maintance nightmare. I'm always exited when a reliable car company manages to make the cars exiting too. Awesome job Lexus! This kills any Merc or Audi or even Lamborghini I've ever seen design-wise.
No the Maserati GT tops it. This car should have usable back seats, it doesn't. This car is bold and beautiful, but the Maser out ranks it in terms of beauty and dimensions of cool.
See the refreshed 2018 Model, here's the link: www.maserati.com/maserati/international/en/models/granturismo Tailights have been updated, a bit more bling. The rear fascia is a clear improvement, and a new tech package is inside. In short the car is better than ever. Carlos "Lagos" really loved this car.
I bought a brand new 2018 LC500 yesterday, Liquid Platinum. Love the car. It's everything and more. The car is so comfortable, beautiful and handles so well. I traded in my Mercedes SL550 for this one. The service manager at Mercedes said, "If you want a trouble-free car, buy a Lexus." How's that for a recommendation for Lexus!! So, I took his advice. I considered buying the RC350F Sport but when I saw the LC500, I started drooling. 2018 is the first run and so no one knows yet what may break or fail. I'm happy I bought the car.
LC is pretty much the concept car that came out a while back. Akio saw how people were excited over it and when he said make it he wanted it to be just like the concept, not watered down like most companies do
InsideLine used to make much better videos still. Edmunds took over it, closed it and told everyone to come over to Edmundsvideo because that was supposed to be the party place. In reality, none of the qualities or hosts from InsideLine carried over.
Carlos, this is my first viewing of one of your videos and, being a Lexus owner several times, over the past 10 years, I've also had the opportunity to take a good look at one of these beauties at my local Lexus dealer. To say it is an attention-grabber would be an understatement! What a great review. The look on your face said it all to me. Thanks!
LC500 - BEST car of 2017. A combination of a concept and exotic car without the exotic car price. There is nothing like this car on the market it's completely unique. The engine and exhaust sounds is better then M cars, Audi RS and sounds better then AMG. Nothing from Germany offers anything like this it's unique and very Japanese with a muscle car heart. Lexus LC Begins Production Where The LFA Used To Be Built ... in the former LFA factory on an assembly line but the same craftsmen who put the LFA together. Lexus got this car right. Really can't wait to see the high performance F model. Supposed to have 600hp
You're talking about the quasi-vortex generator looking things -- those are fine. I'm talking about the texture on the top of the taillights. It looks like crumpled aluminum foil
+below absolute zero A good condition 2005(12 year old) Lexus LX470 still costs around 20k with around 100k miles, so good luck on that. You'd have to look to a German nameplate for that kind of depreciation.
Review by Carlos Lago : 100 % top review and intense car passion. You are the only one from America I admire the most as a car reviewer ! Followed him since the early years on MT (with Jessi... after her crash she disappeared sadly :o( )... Happy to see him still doing what he loves the most ! Cheers from Switzerland !
Finally someone who understand the Lexus brand and their offerings to their devoted buyers. Luxury, comfortable ride, nice styles and cars that are and can be a great for daily drive.
Np surprise the LC500 sounds great. Lexus created the LFA, which with a super exotic V10 9500 rpm F1 derived engine sounds unlike anything else. As Clarkson recently said in a "Grand Touring" interview with Telegraph UK, LFA is still the best car I have ever driven.
Nice review, much better than motortrends... Tired of hearing about a car lapping the ring on this many minutes...At my age I want a fast coupe that rides good. Only if I could afford it.
avioncamper nope, it is a luxury grand tourer, u notice how it doesnt even try to hide the fact that its heavy? no so called carbon fiber parts, theyre all aluminium and leather
Nothing AMG ever did can get close to the sound of the Lexus LFA. 9500 rpm F1 V10 howling like a banshee. Though, I admit the SLS AMG Black Series is the closest to the LFA. Amazing sound from the SLS AMG black series at 8000 rpm.
Yet another masterpiece from my beloved LEXUS TEAM. I would like to thank each and every member of the LEXUS TEAM for having put out truly remarkable and ever so appealing models, by making improvements in terms of handling and design, all while preserving the famous elements of LEXUS, which are out of reach for any other luxury car brand. Yet, it is the luxury sedan LEXUS LS 500, that is an unparalleled, unmatched and, quite frankly, an unprecedented pinnacle of craftsmanship and artisanship, setting the bar sky high for other luxury brands. That being said, you haven't seen nothing yet, as LEXUS have more to come in the coming years. Just watch.
Carlos either has a talent or he majored in speech(or both)! Excellent voice that isn't too monotone and he has the perfect speed when talking. Love from Sweden :)
Going to get one in 2022, saving up , that Certified route is the way to go, I'll be trading my 2004 SC430, only 76,500 miles right now, still should get $10,000.0 by then.
I love this guy. Great car and fun review. Wish he could give us his opinion on how this competes with German rivals. AND btw! For those of us who are forever late on the tea, is he still with Motor trend as well or I'm I missing something??
The funny texture on the top of the tail lights is there because normal chrome whether on plastic or metal will tend to spider web in 3 to 5 years depending on the amount of sun or maintenance the car has. However, that texture will hide or make impossible for any spider webbing to occur. Just go look at 5 year old chrome on a regular car. Toyota has done this before, I just can't remember on which car.
100k and doesn’t have Apple CarPlay, I’m sticking with my mercedes. people who uses carplay will know how inconvenient it is without it, absolutely a deal breaker. Nice looking coupe without even a sunroof and under perform as a sports car at this price range
Great review except for the infotainment system. It's AWESOME. Once you run MENU/SETUP and select all your personal preferences such as doors, lights, gps, phone, bluetooth, radio, climate, media ETC. and then learn VOICE COMMAND...you almost never have to use the trackpad. Typical command: Press TALK BUTTON on left side of steering wheel (.25 seconds), wait for beep (.5 seconds), say "RADIO AM 680" and the car switches stations. Total time about 3 seconds and no trackpad. Want a pizza? Button, wait, say "FIND PIZZA HUT" and a list of PIZZA HUTS comes right up. Select the one you want "Number 3 (for instance) and then say "GO THERE" and the GPS takes you there. No hands on trackpad. This system couldn't be easier. In certain instances, the trackpad is necessary. Want the seats warmer? Button, say "SHOW SEAT WARMING SCREEN" and you'll see the correct screen. Then, slide your fingers up a bit and you're done. It's no more difficult that using the turn signal. So, anyone who says "Ugh, I hate the trackpad" or "Gee, I prefer the touch screen" has no idea of how good the Lexus infotainment system is. And, all you have to do is read the Owner's Manual...and if you don't understand something ...call Lexus Corporate for FREE and they will help you. This is the finest car in production today. It does everything it was designed to do very well and it will never leave you stranded by the side of the road.
Why does the Lexus's hood meet at the A-piller higher than the door's bottom window? That looks ugly. They should be a straight horizontal line like the Aston Martin.
Huh so this is where Carlos got to, nice surprise! So the top two "exhaust tips" aren't actual tips but just trim bits to make them look like exhausts? Personally I'd get those top ones painted or wrapped black as a nice chrome and wide actual exhaust tip looks nicer than the bulky looking ones as stock.
Fail that it doesn't have Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, but then again, Most people my age can't afford this car. I anticipate this being the car for middle-aged to old men (and some women).
I bought the car 4 months ago. Same color as shown on the video. The engine is very loud and when I want to go somewhere late at night, it'll practically wake up the whole neighborhood just to turn it on. The LC hybrid is quiet and uses a lot less gasoline. That's the one I should have purchased. Visors are too short in the window and they don't block out the sun completely. I wish they had built the car without the back seats. It would look even sportier. Trunk size is okay for me. Roomier than I had expected. I'm enjoying the car.
A gorgeous Lexus coupe that’s for sure, but I just noticed the back seats??? Back seats??? No leg room back there. Hmmm maybe it’s for really small nomes 🤔
That's a nice opinion. Nothing more.
I saw a white one the other day, It looked STUNNING! It looks a lot bigger in person, but still it really is stunning.
For a socend i thought that water bottle was a broken gear shift when he put push the gas lol ..
81GhostSlayer me too exactly. "WTF is going on with the gear lever?" 😬
it's part of our water bottle abuse test cycle
81GhostSlayer haha ditto
81GhostSlayer same!
I saw one on freeway and swear it's the most gorgeous GT Coupe I've ever seen.
Stunning beauty at any price.
The best luxury coupe ever.
wow.. thats a lot coming from what seems like a mercedes fan. Shows that this might actually be up there with the best now.
No the Maserati GT tops it. This car should have usable back seats, it doesn't. This car is bold and beautiful, but the Maser out ranks it in terms of beauty and dimensions of cool.
RootsandTendrils the maseratis tailights look super outdated. As is thr amenities inside. They need an update ASAP.
It may not be the same league but i'm pretty excited for the Genesis Coupe in 2020
I bought a brand new 2018 LC500 yesterday, Liquid Platinum. Love the car. It's everything and more. The car is so comfortable, beautiful and handles so well. Nice achievement.
Good job Carlos. Your reviews are always top notch and I'm glad to see you back at it. One companies loss is another's gain I suppose.
LC is pretty much the concept car that came out a while back. Akio saw how people were excited over it and when he said make it he wanted it to be just like the concept, not watered down like most companies do
I'm glad Edmunds stepped their game up with the car reviews
Thank you!
InsideLine used to make much better videos still. Edmunds took over it, closed it and told everyone to come over to Edmundsvideo because that was supposed to be the party place. In reality, none of the qualities or hosts from InsideLine carried over.
I also miss InsideLine.

Lexus got this car right. Really can't wait to see the high performance F model. Supposed to have 600hp
Toyota4Life well said. I couldn't have agreed with you more! It's seem like when lexus is ready to kick ass they go all the way.
Toyota4Life can't imagine how nice an LCF would be considering that this car is already at the top of its class. Lexus hit the nail on the head again!
This Lexus and the Infiniti Q60 is simply the best looking Japaneses coupes on the market.
True
Carlos is the best! And these videos aren't aggressively trying to get me to pay for crappy on demand services. XD
I went and brought a LC 500 yesterday.. the horsepower isn't there, but the style of the car makes up for it. I love it.
The textured plastic above the tail lights is an aerodynamics feature, it's not just a design quirk.
futility of human endeavor yea the reviewer is clueless and seems to have done zero research prior to driving the car.
You're talking about the quasi-vortex generator looking things -- those are fine. I'm talking about the texture on the top of the taillights. It looks like crumpled aluminum foil
It’s true. This car has perhaps THE biggest “wow factor” in real life that I’ve ever seen. It’s very unique. No other car has a stance like it!
Carlos LAGO!
Carlos reviews = best reviews
L Taka I just bought the 2017 LC. Only it's the year 2028 here now. I paid $9,500 (78k miles) It's held up well.
+below absolute zero A good condition 2005(12 year old) Lexus LX470 still costs around 20k with around 100k miles, so good luck on that. You'd have to look to a German nameplate for that kind of depreciation.
It is a lexus in 2028 it will cost $68,500 and have 600k miles. Runs like new though ...

@tillallareoneluv Because most people who are famous and/or in the public eye are Frauds through and through. It's purposely done to deceive.

I've never felt intrigued by an expensive car like I did by this one. Not Ferrari, Porsche, or any other.
legendray2008 this car offers a exotic car look without the Exotic car price
You're right, but it also offers Camaro SS performance at double the price!
If you want Camaro SS performance without a luxurious interior, by all means just buy the Camaro then.
Finally someone who understand the Lexus brand and their offerings to their devoted buyers. Luxury, comfortable ride, nice styles and cars that are and can be a great for daily drive.
This person is the probably the best auto reviewer I have seen so far.
Give Carlos a raise. I just subscribed
Carlos ... you right. looks way better in person... I saw one early in 101 freeway..
Informative review Carlos, nice.
this car is a beauty
Lexus has designed two of the most stunning futuristic cars in motor history. This masterpiece and the original SC300/400 in the late 80's.
Everything he said was well written. Really legit review. Pleasantly surprised! Better than motor trend haha
Didn't know Carlos was here. Subbed
Glad to see Carlos Lagos here! 👌
Dam Carlos was wondering what happen to you on Motor Trend. Great to see you on Edmund and great review on this beautiful Lexus. Keep it up bro.
Excellent review and beautiful Lexus.
Nice review, much better than motortrends... Tired of hearing about a car lapping the ring on this many minutes...At my age I want a fast coupe that rides good. Only if I could afford it.
The LC 500 is no luxury boat, it's a sports car. Keep up the great work Carlos.
avioncamper nope, it is a luxury grand tourer, u notice how it doesnt even try to hide the fact that its heavy? no so called carbon fiber parts, theyre all aluminium and leather
Those things on the top of the tail lights are vortex generators, they help with aero
Yeah, those are fine. I'm talking about the texture on the top of the taillights. It looks like crumpled aluminum foil.
I wasn't gonna watch the video.....wait a minute Carlos is here?? Sign me up!
same here! I subscribed just because of carlos. love his review when he was with motortrend. would like to see more of his videos
I thought it was Deadpool.
More CARLOS LAGO😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Add Carlos Lago to the title.
good idea!
Lexus makes the best sounding cars.
No, AMG. This NA V8 is better than all the turbo nonsense however.
AMG cars sound like shit, like farting noises. Not at all refined.
Slimecrazy234 You're out your damn mind if you don't think AMG doesn't make good exhausts. The E63 sounds like a crazy ass Brute coming after you
I would like to see a Lexus LC500 vs. Mercedes C63 AMG
Beautiful car and a beautiful interior

Carlos doing video?
ALL IN. Finally Edmunds does something worth a damn.
It looks like the spiritual successor to the lfa they took what they could put into a more reachable price range I'm glad it didn't go to waste.
great review great car, "it's an experience you cannot put a number on", totally agree
Love that car. Wish I could afford one.
I'm a simple man, I see LC500, I click.
Carlos either has a talent or he majored in speech(or both)! Excellent voice that isn't too monotone and he has the perfect speed when talking. Love from Sweden :)
Lexus released the SC and the Supra on the same chassis, could the LC be the chassis the new Supra rides on?
Going to get one in 2022, saving up , that Certified route is the way to go, I'll be trading my 2004 SC430, only 76,500 miles right now, still should get $10,000.0 by then.
Carlos is the man !!!!
As for the Lexus, what can I sell to get one? haha
The Euro Car Show
3-4 kidneys?
The water bottle, in the center at first appeared to be a faux shifter lol
I love this guy. Great car and fun review. Wish he could give us his opinion on how this competes with German rivals. AND btw! For those of us who are forever late on the tea, is he still with Motor trend as well or I'm I missing something??
Took me a while to find Carlos.
Carlos! Missed you on MT, now I know where you went!
How immediate are the upshifts when using the paddle shifters?
Best car and best review loved it Thank you.
Carlos Lago = L E G E N D
I think all vents on manufacturers cars are functionality now really enjoy the look and sound of this gt car nice review

Best looking coupe of 2018
Carlos, this or a Jaguar F Type V8?
I like the LC more
Great review! I've participated in the Lexus Drive events and the LC sounds even more glorious in person! The barking and pops....lord Jesus. :-)
I think lc stands for luxury coupe and ls is for luxury saloon and the es is executive saloon and the rc stands for racing coupe
Great review Carlos... great car Lexus !
is the back actually wider then the front or is it just the looks illusion?
Are there any plans to release open model?
infinity needs interior help from lexus
Shawn Moses why would Toyota help nissan’s luxury arm?
It's Larlos Cago!
*”LC” stands for Lexus Challenge. The car was a challenge issued to designers to create a passion flagship to represent Lexus 🤘🏾
100k and doesn’t have Apple CarPlay, I’m sticking with my mercedes. people who uses carplay will know how inconvenient it is without it, absolutely a deal breaker. Nice looking coupe without even a sunroof and under perform as a sports car at this price range
Where is this being filmed? It looks like California, Nevada or Arizona.
Love this car reminds me of the LFA from certain angles
Maybe in 6 years I can afford a used one? The Sc430 is still very expensive used :(
The SC430 is absolutely dreadful.
Claire Kennedy sc430 was voted as worst car ever
David I know, and it's still expensive. So I'm assuming this will be too and I won't be able to get it.
JAnx01 facts

I don't understand. You want me to state my sources?
fantastic good job

Maybe the best car you can get for under $100k.
Beautiful car!
Lexus is killin it!!! 😎
Saw a white one at a light , holy Jesus it looks more like a $200k car
Why does the Lexus's hood meet at the A-piller higher than the door's bottom window? That looks ugly. They should be a straight horizontal line like the Aston Martin.
Every design on that car has its own purpose. Toyotas ingenuity.
Very nice....excellent V8 and like the color too :)
For a split second I thought that bottle was a shift knob and was all excited... then I realized the truth. lol Still an amazing car though
That bottle moves whenever Carlos steps on accelerator.
I like how this guy reviews.
Hold up, is that Carlos? Instant sub. Btw add his name to the title for more views.
Some kind of Camissa style review!
LC might stand for Luxury Coupe in my opinion. LS= Luxury Sedan
Price please
Fail that it doesn't have Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, but then again, Most people my age can't afford this car. I anticipate this being the car for middle-aged to old men (and some women).
More older women than men will buy this car.
Unappealing package
The original sc 400/430 were beautifully crafted and invoked a sense of true luxury
M. A. What are you smoking?! Put it down.
My favorite car
You are doing a car review and you said, not sure how many air are functions?
This guy is awesome
carlod why would they not put that v8 on their flagship ls? insteas they went with that cost cutting v6 turbo crap.
it would be hard to believe that cars that looked like this would be for sale even 10 years ago
I bought the car 4 months ago. Same color as shown on the video. The engine is very loud and when I want to go somewhere late at night, it'll practically wake up the whole neighborhood just to turn it on. The LC hybrid is quiet and uses a lot less gasoline. That's the one I should have purchased.

do you like the color?
A gorgeous Lexus coupe that’s for sure, but I just noticed the back seats??? Back seats??? No leg room back there. Hmmm maybe it’s for really small nomes 🤔
