So wild that I started seeing all your videos after you made the full switch to Festool. I just so happen to stumble across these older ones when you were full Makita and while the Makita tools are great, the transformation from OG Dusty Dusty to New Era Clean Dusty is really cool.
I was watching this video and then my neighbors came and we watched it together. He said that this video changed his life and touched his heart. I then went and rented a projector in a big field and all my villagers watched it and it changed their lives too. We all are so grateful.
What kind of router is this and what’s the table-and-guide-jig you’re working on there? Really cool. Looks like you could actually create joints with this method and join two pieces of wood.
@@MustPassTruck That Makita 18v is a P.O.S! The 40v is exactly the same only with a different battery. I should have bought the DeWalt cordless 18v router, 🙄
@@MustPassTruck I was torn between the Makita 18v and the DeWalt 18v router's. I bought the DeWalt corded 1/4" router when it was released back in 2011. It remains one of my favorite routers. It's small, powerful, ergonomic, intuitive and has great balance. Ultimately I went with the Makita because I have invested heavily in their 18 and 36v platforms. That was a mistake. The dept adjustment on the Makita plunge base is terrible. Their is significant slop in the plunge rails and there's no fine adjust on the fixed base. The plunge lock lever is tiny and one has to squeeze it to death to get it to lock. The collet nut has to be squeezed to death to get it to hold on to the cutter. The base plate on the fixed base is tiny. I was hoping Makita would go back to the drawing board and re-design their 1/4" router for the 40v platform. Unfortunately they didn't so I'll just have to sell it and buy the DeWalt.

Which Router are you using? Want one to :-)
Nice to see it can use the rail!

Guess it wouldn't be the Dusty Lumber Co. if you had dust collection on your router huh.😅
The dust collection doesn’t work very well on this router set up unfortunately
@@dustylumberco Hopefully Makita comes out with a better 40V one soon.
