Charley, thanks for the great content! I got one big ? tho. When to use groups? For specific Target Group? So for example one group per different Offer/Angle?

Right off the rip this is all a red flag and I know you aren't looking at P&Ls but only ROAS because you made the following mistakes. 1. Advantage plus favorites return users if you are optimizing for purchases even if you exclude past customers in an customer list. Incorrect choice unless you are a very very small company. ROAS looks great NCAC gets worse. 2. Adding View-through conversions also can push the algorithm to do the same as above^ you want to train the machine on higher indication signals so you have more accurate data to leverage. Volume of data is not worth it if the quality is terrible. 3. Broad is not the best early unless you have a high enough volume of spend in order to build up an audience. 4. You didn't even exclude warm audiences lol
ROAS… I said incremental, not vanity … this is an all in inclusive of the entire P&L 1: Didn’t say 100%, and have multiple videos on ASC best practices as someone who is 9figs in on spend on just that tool 2: View Through helps the machine be smarter at incremental lift… if that hurts your bottom line, that’s a strategy issue, not a Facebook data one 3: it’s true that there are other audiences that can get you short wins early, it’s also true that leveraging them makes broad targeting more difficult later and ultimately if our focus is to build a business, then we should value data, integrity, and longevity, stability, and scalability over what might look good for a week or two 4: why would we exclude warm audiences? what part about making sure that people who like our content and are likely to spend money with us, don’t see our ads, and paying extra to make sure that our ads get shown to people who are less likely to spend money and less likely to enjoy our content ultimately makes any sense unless our focus is to get the best margin on the smallest volume of sales
@@CTtheDisrupter Show me evidence that going to ASC in a controlled tests increased your new customer acquisition efficiency and held for over a month. If you are working with a 9 figure brand it will have a ton of click data if it is DTC. LALs are only there to ramp you up not necessarily a longterm strategy since broad doesn’t work as well on spends under 20k a month. How does that make broad targeting harder? Where have you even proven that? That seems like an almost impossible test in the same niche. Yes excluding warm traffic optimizes NCAC you grow a business by optimizing for new customers not paying as much for return you try and leverage cheaper channels and control the spend so you can benchmark your funnel if you have not thrown them in together. Imagine you have a high LTV client you are just going to pay for users that were already likely to come back which then hurts your efficiency. You are essentially just giving up control on cold and warm traffic. Yes it’s not perfect but 90% accuracy is way better than it being an unknown.
@@CTtheDisrupter why would a predictive algo inhibit reach?
