Hey Heath, Thank you. I have been spending around 2 hours on average per day for the last 1 month consuming content from this channel. The benefits are that we have fired the ad agency running ads and providing us with 90% Junk leads. Now we are at >10% Junk leads. Really appreciate the effort and time you have put into this. Hope to see you someday.🙏🙏
Straight up, this is one of the most valuable free pieces of knowledge about running Meta ads that I've ever seen - you're an absolute SAINT for putting in the time and effort and creating pieces like this. THANK YOU on behalf of everyone who benefited from watching this.
This video just taught me something I had no confidence to learn thank you so much you ability to explain it is so fluent and easy to understand. Credit where credits due 🙏
Honestly such a useful video. I find videos like these where you are sort of optimising the campaign "live" are the best type of videos. Keeps me engaged and I'm gonna watch it 10+ times to retain every bit of info. Bloody legend!
Thankyou for all your videos Ben you have single handedly helped me launch my business and I'll be forever grateful! One question on analytics, I have a massive difference in link clicks to landing page views (between 1/5-1/6 only make it to the landing page and this is confirmed on my shopify), but there doesn't seem to be any issues with my load speed so I can't understand it. Any thoughts/advice?! It looks like most happen on the facebook feed in-app but that could just be because majority of my clicks are from there. Thanks again!
Thank you for this knowledge, it's very interesting. I have a question: if we anticipate that customers do not trust our offer, how can we increase their trust to encourage them to make a purchase?
Good question. That is a common issue. The solution is proof. You need to use client testimonials and examples of people that have gotten great results from your product or service
Ben, thanks a lot for the guide, I implemented some of them. But, I have a concern regarding the hook rate. Using a 3-second video / impression might not get you the best metric on the percentage of people that were hooked, because the impression is just the number of times your ads appeared on your target audience's screen, it doesn't necessarily mean they even watched the ad in the first place. I found using 3-second video plays / video plays more useful. 7:46
Great video as always, Thank you Ben. I have a question and my question is which kind of objective do I have to use as starting facebook advertising with no followers? The Engagement or other objectives?
This is so useful thank you! I LOVE the hook rate metric, I set that up instantly. How come you use link click and not unique link clicks or unique CTR? Also, do you look at 25%-95% video plays at all?
Hey mate thanks valuable info here. How do you double down on ads that are running good. So let’s say you want to double down on you best roas ad. How do you start with making similar ads?
Hey Ben. Great videos. Looking for a bit of advice on our end. We run Manuel ads that some times do well, other times they are the worst. Should we just switch to advantage + ?
Are you using the Direct to Offer Campaign structure for your winning creatives? Like what you are using in this video? Thanks for this video! Helps a lot. I just wanna know if you are practicing the campaign structure as you taught us.
Link clicks are not just the clicks on the link in the Ad it also includes the clicks that lead to the connected page. At least thats how i would understand metas definition of this metric when you hover with the mouse over it in the ads manager it says the clicks that lead to target pages on and outside of meta which includes the page as well.
Hi Ben thanks for the tip. Recently some of my AdSets lost the Audience Control Feature. I can only set it up as Advantage+. Therefore the location is placed under the Advantage +, this will take it as a suggestion or a hard boundary? thanks. If anyone else is experiencing this I it would really appreciate the help.
Hey Ben this video feels like a godsend. Thanks a lot for explaining everything in such depth. What time frame do you usually use when optimizing an ad/campaign? Some of my ads have fluctuating performnaces week on week which makes it difficult to take tough calls with them.
Glad to hear and thanks for the feedback :) It really depends on the ad account and the conversion volume. The higher the conversion volume, the shorter the timeframe. Could be as little as a day, could be 30 days
Hi Ben. Wouldn’t frequency depend greatly on the time limit you are applying. Frequency of 10 over 1 month would mean they’ve only seen your ad once every 3 days which I though was ok lol
Hey Ben, I'm a little lost when it comes to different pricing strategies for an agency. Do you have a resource where I could get more information on this? Or do you have a go-to pricing framework that you typically use within your agency?
Hi Ben. Are all of these ads for the same product? I'm wondering this because you seem to be comparing the results of the 3 video ads. In my case, each ad I run is for a different product, but the target audience is basically the same for all of them. My challenge comes in the way of having to create enough differences (when possible) between the audiences as to not compete against myself 100% of the time.
Great video thank you! Is it a good idea to include links to different parts of my website in the ad copy? So the 'Shop Now' will take them to a particular landing page but in the text, I want to highlight a few products and include links to each product. I'm just wondering whether there are any known impacts when doing this such as meta not favouring it or whatever. Wouldn't it be great to see a click map for the non link clicks.
So if you’re saying to turn off the 3 ROAS ad if you have a 4 ROAS ad, is the aim always to get down to 1 advert and just improve that ad with iterations? Or is it good to have a variety?
Great video as usual ben, I just have a question that in the ecommerce space where we can track the conversion value do you think we still should be optimising for cost per purchase as the ultimate northstar metric instead of looking at the return on ad spent that adset or ad has generated because at the end of the day the thing that we can optimise for is the number of purchases or people converting on our website and not how much they spend so if a particular ad is getting us purchases at a lower ad spend despite with an average return on ad spend do you think we should continuously be chasing purchase or cost per conversions to be lower because tomorrow we might get higher return on ad spend and it is something which is not in our control.
If you were advertising for a SAAS product that had a 7 day free trial, would you optimize for registrations (happen on day 0) and then use external metrics to track the number of people who then subscribe or would you optimize for subscriptions which might occur after day 7 and outside the attribution window?
Good question, I would go with registrations if you can’t reliably track people signing up for subscriptions. Although if you can, that would be better
Hi Ben! I currently have a new facebook ad account and pixel for my new company. I am running 1 testing campaign with 5 ad sets inside and in each adset 5 images. Now I think my pixel still has to warm up because I am not getting any conversions or clicks yet. I am thinking to simultaneously run an engagement campaign to get more social proof on my Facebook pages by getting more likes, but I was wondering if that might effect the learning of my pixel. Because it is now learning more about my potential customers that might buy my product and maybe if I also do an engagement campaign that pixel will focus more on engagers and not buyers, will this effect the conversion campaign I am running now and maybe new ones in the future?
It could do honestly and I think you are right to be concerned about that. If in doubt just run the engagement campaign to your ideal target audience and then you shouldn't confuse things.
@@BenHeath So if I run the engagement campaign to my ideal audience (in my case pet owners) then it wouldn't confuse my pixel? I'm scared that Facebook will learn my pixel to go for Engagement and then afterwards all my conversions campaigns will not perform because Facebook learned the pixel to focus on Engagement rather than buyers.
Is there any way to RESET your fb pixel, or even just facebook ad data? Like if you think facebook is giving you the wrong target customers can you reset it for a relearn?
Ben , I have been running my ad for over a month and was getting sales ea day, and suddenly I am getting visits to my site but no sales. What could this be? Past 2 days no sales

Yes we usually will, but it does depend on the strategy we're using for that business.

At least thats how i would understand metas definition of this metric when you hover with the mouse over it in the ads manager it says the clicks that lead to target pages on and outside of meta which includes the page as well.
You can further specify and go with outbound link clicks but the difference between the two metrics is usually minimal.
