I once visited google offices. I was there trying to sell something and after the meeting came to an end the employee that had us gave us the tour. they had a VR room, an arcade room, the whole shabang and me and my colleague were amazed and envious. when the clock showed it's quarter to three the googler who had us had to go pick up her son from daycare and while leaving she said somthing that stayed with me. while leaving us baffled about the ridiculous perks and facilities she claimed "people with families never use those things, when I finish my work I prefer to be with my kids". always remember, the best office and the best jobs are are still just an office and a job. no matter how nice those are, spending time a home with loved ones is and should be a preferred.
If you're on good terms with your coworkers some of these perks are basically spending time with your friends.
True, but most of the time once you have a family you’re at a stage in your career where you can have reasonable work hours. For the new, young workers, they’re at the office grinding, earning their stripes, well over 40, 50, 60 hours a week. Gotta keep those people comfortable so they don’t burn out
I’ll take that never happened for 200 bob

No wonder Elon went and fired people like this from Twitter
true bro. Anyone who works in tech knows there's so many time wasters
All of them are women
and now those same people got scooped up by Zuck to make threads, funny how life goes
Elon fans when someone works without being treated like a slave but with respect and attention to their needs and hobbies: 😭😭😫😫😠😠😠😠

This is how they buy loyalty from shallow people willing to do evil.
Lol what evil, buddy?
@@HauntedHoardWhen a company drops their motto "Don't be evil" that's very telling about said company.
Agree 100%
@@Jose04537 If you think they are evil then why are you using their products and earning them money to do said evil?

Now pair this with the 12,000 employees laid off this January lol
Nooo, why you ruin it for them? Now they don't have an argument of "huge salary, great offices, a lot of, so called, impact etc" because you said it :((((
@@ward7576 Lmao, you know most laid off software engineers just move to a new job right? It's not hard to find a new position at same or better pay. The average time a software engineer stays at a job is around 3 years or less... this would make moving way easier, and being laid off means you get compensation while searching, which is even more important.
