First off, I want to know what exactly Hawke is talking about. Master and Commander is one of my favs. And Depp got the option brought it to WB so he believed in the project... got them to spring 2 million for it. Roberts himself said this happens and it was no beef, so where does Hawke get off speaking about it, was he supposed to star in it and was on set or in meetings? Go here on YT, Weir himself said he doesn't like to revisit (sadly, cause i've been wanting a M and Commander sequel). But he worked after that, so what is Hawke talking about? If this comes out of anyone's mouth, it should have been Weir (whether too nice to state it or not), Crowe or Depp/Warner Brothers. The option moved here and there, they did a series and Hunnam is doing the movie; It's been cursed with movements, Thailand, covid stops in filming, you name it
