Insanely good tips!!! Thanks!
Thank you, Willem! :-)
thamk you
This was great 👌🏻 is the final shot 3:21 displacement only, or have you scattered smaller stones over the surface? My displacement never comes out as detailed.
Thank you! The ground (also in the final shot) has displacement only, with the methods shown. Make sure to have a sufficient tesselation in the RS Object Tag.
That's interesting and thanks for sharing this. I usually use a tri planar and apply that to each channel that has a map (albedo, normal, roughness etc). But I notice you only appy this technique to one channel and not the normal (for instance). Why is there no need to apply it to all channels that have a map that links up with the abedo?
I do mirror all texture nodes of the second material ("Scale X: -1")! Check min 2:21 of the video :-)
Awesome@@renderbaron - just watched it through again. That's a great technique. Thanks again and I like your 'Did you know' series. I'm changing over from Corona so these are perfect.
in blender and octane a special plugin or nodes like "randomizer", OSL. But rs steel can't solve tiling issue.
Of course there´s also an OSL solution for Redshift called "NoTiles". But the focus of this video is to think a little outside the box and create a versatile solution from scratch. :-)
@@renderbaron real? It's nice. Can you share about how to fix tiling by another easy way like osl in RS? Thx
@@oneway9984 Scaling/ rotating Materials and combine them in Material Blender is the native and most versatile way. For OSL solutions just check "Redshift OSL" on Google :-)
@@renderbaron ok. Than you.
