Those of us who know about music...know this is probably one of the best little songs ever written.

I was at this gig. My Dad, who had picked me up after my first Stranglers gig at the Apollo in July 1980, had only a few weeks to live at this point. When they played 'Never To Look Back' I was in fucking bits.... I love you Dad.

My friend, Alan , was their road manager for many years. I was fortunate to meet the band many times and visit Dave at his pub in Somersham. Baz and Dave played at our local pub for my ex husbands 45 birthday and Baz sang “Alison” by Elvia Costello just for me … my name isn’t Jane. Many many happy memories of people who are no longer here. An amazing band.
The,subject matter of this song I've personally lived it but when I hear it now it totally lifts me and I'm happy 2 be 5yrs abstinent

All the Stranglers are credited, but the original kernel came from Dave Greenfield. Who was definitely a genius.

I've always really appreciated the boys and their music. And this song in particular always takes me straight back to my youth at the beginning of the 80s... But let's be honest... Here they sound like a dance band at a village festival, where they have shove chopped Valiums up the boys' noses instead of Speed...

This does not sound how I thought it went, deleting Have deleted all their music from devices after this. It's not how it meant to sound and will never be played again in my home and if I hear it when out I will walk in the opposite direction.
