One of my late grandmother’s favorite songs. I recall she had it on a small 45 record and played it often on an old 60’s style hi fi system in the living room. Before she passed away in ‘92, I complied this song with others on a disc for her to listen to on a Sony Discman. It gives me comfort that she had John Denver’s beautiful music to listen to during hospice care.
I'm near 70 and this song and many of John Denver songs bring back the pretty past. I so miss those days by the telefunken radio listening to songs that we done from the soul. How can we help today's generation get some of this without judging or condemning them. Enjoying from Jamaica WI.

We used this in our wedding nearly 41 years ago - March 18, 1978
It’s been 25 years since his passing. I still listen to his songs.. they transcend our spirits and soothe our souls. I really miss him and his music.
Now 26 Years 😢😢
His voice is god- given. Crystal clear! His songs will make you cry!😢
Hi how are you doing
thanks for your life, your joy, your music john. we are better for it.
That is so sweet 😊
I'm near 70 and this song and many of John Denver songs bring back the pretty past. I so miss those days by the telefunken radio listening to songs that we done from the soul. How can we help today's generation get some of this without judging or condemning them. Enjoying from Jamaica WI.
This song is definitely one of the most top 10 beautiful love songs of all times. John Denver loved Annie. This is one of many songs that he wrote of his internal love for her.
what happened to their marriage. why did they divorce?
@@davidstokar887 he was an alcoholic, drug user--got arrested 3 times for DUI--he was a bi polar manic depressive-his real image is not the one shown -he cheated on her constantly--this song is a farce--when they were talking divorce he went and got a chain saw to cut the 100k dining room table in half, said, there is your half--basically a real jerk

I think this song is about the love of life, loving humanity itself and sharing love with all.
The song, the voice, the presence. A gem gone too soon, but at least we are left with this beautiful music.
